The blocks are cut bass wood and painted with acrylic paint. I made the banner backs in photoshop and used the icons from Warhammer Totalwar. Print and glued to a small dowel that fits into the holes drilled into the blocks. Bases are cut plasticard.

This concept is such a good idea for 10mm war games. Might have to look into this.
