wow this MV adds so much to the Loonaverse and i saw people saying that they abandoned the stroyline of LOONA just because they had changed their concept.
There is a short scene of KimLip and Jinsoul letting go of each other's hands in the same way OliviaHye and Yves have done in Egoist. In LONNATV they say this scene is around the theme of abandonment. I wonder if Jinsoul looking up at the final shot of the MV represents she is now separated from KimLip. This could mean their next move is to be apart from each other again, and reunite in a different formation. Maybe they'll change colors, maybe they'll change positions with their mirror member, maybe they are all being reborn in Eden or Earth or Mid-earth. It would be so cool, to see the events we saw in predebut repeat in a different manner/order with the girls in exchanged locations.
I keep thinking about the special mv showed in cinema video theory, with LOONA 1/3 singing Love&Live with Choerry in the place of Hyunjin. What if this was he original formation? What if Choerry was supposed to be on Earth and Hyunjin was supposed to be in Mid-Earth with the other primary-color-girls? GoWon and Chuu were expecting to contact Hyunjin, possibly because she was the key for them to find Earth, but instead, Choerry was the one who guided GoWon, because Hyunjin wasn't able to access Eden via Mid-Earth. Also, if Choerry was in 1/3 they would probably be able to find Yeojin, since Choerry is capable of crossing the forest, which is the mysterious place between worlds, like the mirrors. OMG I am just now thinking about this and I want this to be next step for them: redo the solo MVs with new subunit formations and new consequences to the story.
your oec ptt analysis (12:32 - 15:54) made me think of this: in hindu religion, the universe was created by Brahma, preserved by Vishnu, and will be destroyed by Shiva. based on what you said, i believe Choerry represents Brahma, Jinsoul represents Vishnu, and Kim lip represents Shiva. i think this would be cool since ptt is inspired by so Bollywood and Indian culture in general (im not hindu or Indian btw so let me know if i got anything wrong)
@@sumi3410 I agree completely. I dislike immensely the theories that put one or more members as gods of the loonaverse. It would make no sense for them to need all 12 equally if one or more of them are literal gods. Maybe if someone proposed a believable theory that all of them are gods finding their own power, maybe I'd buy it, but I still don't like it because a God is not made from a human, and their message is that we are all LOONA, and if they are all goddesses, we are not LOONA because we're mortals.
This is wonderful! While I don’t necessarily agree with everything you discussed (or maybe I don’t fully understand them yet), I’d like to mention some of the most striking elements/ themes that you discussed in this video essay.
[13:13 ] kim lip neon circle being around her head in eclipse also look uhh intrusive? maybe binding, i dont know how to put it, while jinsoul lamps even spread chaotically as they are also encage her, but are all parallel to her, so with ptt shape exchange, kim lip got the lamps and they are in a way free to be in chaos, and jinsoul fits the halo in a more casual way, more naturally (less binding)? with a symmetrical composition, solid. so i cant help but feel like that change fits them, and since they are characters that are often show in conflict/connected, maybe thats a point of tension? another possibility is how this influence their purpose/mission, before their pursuit was destruction/change, and now they are rebuilding?? anyways here a ramble about four whole seconds of video
at first you have such a beautiful calm voice and I like the way you pronounce yeojin a vivi T^T idk why… but your theories gave me hope about loonaverse after butterfly. i wasnt sure if there’s still something deep, but your theories are on another level!! tysm for this
