"Progressive" has about as much meaning in US politics as "representative". Whenever political goers of either Congressional conference (oops) I mean political party, claw their way into national office, whether it be by birthright, toil, or chicane, they are then in a class in which their interests align not very much with those of most of the people they nominally (but not factually) represent. They're all shilling for the same pay masters. The difference between the Dems and Reps is their fan bases. The Democrats are forced to speak in a sillier kind of gibberish than the Republicans are, to gull their fan base while not alienating their constituents.

It seems like everyone who still whines about FTV have just decided they’re all bad and the party needs to be burned to the ground so what’s the point of still crying about it? The 2019 version of the Medicare for All bill has been stuck in committee since it was introduced. If it couldn’t pass committee, it wouldn’t pass a floor vote, and even if the bill did pass the House, there’s no way it would passed the senate.
