The fact that Loki’s last words to Sylvie and Mobius were unscripted just shows how deeply connected Tom was with the character and ended up being one of the best, if not the best line in the show.
@romenick18 yeah..... I saw it after posting...... Just shows you how tied into the character he is..... Most actors can't quote scenes from there own films but he probably knows more about MCU Loki than the writers and directors
Tom Hiddleston puts his heart and soul into the character and that’s what was missing in MCU since Endgame and I loved every minute of Loki. What a character Arc!!!
Yesss..... I feel the MCU has lost that, it's heart We only see that in a few places in MCU such as Loki, Spider-Man and Miss Marvel (just to be sure I'm talking about the actor not the series)

And after playing LOKI throughout these years maybe his on-screen and off-screen character somehow got blended. Must be a hell of emotional rollercoaster for him 😊

It’s hard to believe we have been watching Tom play Loki for over 10 years. Loki was immediately everyone’s favorite villian and he has had such a journey. It has been such a pleasure to watch.
29 yr old Tom wouldn't believe how far his journey with Loki has gone. It has been a roller coaster of emotions 🥺 Hats off to Tom Hiddleston, no one could've played Loki as perfect as he does 💚
I love that Ali and Josh, the two best interviewers in the world, asked Tom exit interview questions in the end. I'm sure they didn't plan that, but great minds think alike. Loki has the best character arc in the MCU and one of the greatest character arcs of all time. He started the show as a god who wanted to rule everyone and everything in the universe for selfish reasons, to a god who selflessly watches over and protects the MULTIVERSE, in isolation, from a throne outside of time and space. Mobius told him that he needed to choose which burden he could live with to fulfill his purpose, and as heavy as it was, this was the only choice in which all of his friends and family as well as all of the people of the multiverse would be saved. He is a true hero now. My heart absolutely breaks that this Loki is now and possibly always will be alone, but at least he can watch over everyone he cares for from afar. ALL HAIL LOKI, THE GOD OF STORIES!!!!
You said it perfectly, all of it. It broke my heart to know that he is taking on the sacrifice of loneliness to protect everyone he cares about. What a character arch from being a selfish God to being the most selfless God. We’ll love you - For all time. Always.
The way Tom talks about his character and his performance is a true symptom of dedication and love he holds for Loki in his heart. He has devoted his life to this character playing him for 14 years. It does come full circle now. Loki firmly stands as the best MCU TV show standing with daredevil.
He is not only a good actor, but also a wonderful person. After watching all his recent interviews, I understand why Zawe fell in love with him. Charm and kindness emanate from him. He approaches his work with such love; he didn’t just come, shoot and get paid, but he put his soul into the character. Honestly think Loki is the best thing the MCU has done full stop. Tom's performance is mind blowing across the years and years of playing the character, and it all culminates perfectly in this season. The end is beautiful for my favourite character in Marvel, so the writers deserve huge credit too.

My favourite thing wth Ali is how much he knows when to mess around and banter and when to be a serious interviewer and not interupt the actor at all while they say something important to them. I really wish talk show hosts would learn this skill. Otherwise. Tom Hiddleston truly is the strongest actor in the MCU for me. He just...gets it. And cares.
Wonderful interview, very interesting, full of warm feelings. Tom Hiddleston is an incredible actor and his dedication to Loki allows this character to be the best of the MCU. The show is so good, the end poetic, sad but beautiful. The emotions on Tom’s face at the end of season 2 were true and that make me cry a lot because Loki had an amazing evolution, he ends up facing his worst fear, but also because i felt it might be the end of this journey i followed from the beginning.
Okay so the fact that the final Loki line was pre-planned based on that moment at the end of Thor, but Mobius and Sylvie saying "No!" "Loki!" like Odin say's "No, Loki" wasn't pre-planned is like destiny fulfilled. That was truly the perfect line to pick.
If only Odin, Frigga, and for that matter, Thor, could see Loki now… what an amazing character and portrayal. Glad he got a chance to fully develop outside the confines of the MCU theatrical releases. Credit to Taika for completely flipping his characters direction on its head with Ragnarok. It gave us even more concrete reasons to watch Loki go off on his own, in adddition to Tom’s work.

What I really liked about Loki besides his story was his personality and Tom Hiddleston was the perfect actor to protray Loki. Cunning, Intelligent, Whitty, Mischievous, chaotic and a bunch of things. How much this character has grown overtime is remarkable. The shift of Loki being incredibly prideful and egotistical to humble and caring for others. Many fans have grown up and fallen in love with this character which makes this all the more emotional that this may be the last time we'll see of loki again. And I'm with Ali on being in denial about this being the case.
Besides him being one of the best castings in a movie and/or series he's so damn talented and humble at the same time it's just insane... He's great and I cannot wait to see what else he does next whether he comes back as Loki or not....
This interview made really emotional. I don't know why, I hace seen many of those post loki's end interviews, but this one really gets me. And I think is probably because of how Ali is feelings he translated or embody what all of us are feeling.
Tom and Ali are so charming in their behaviour. They both just possess this natural calm, friendly and warm energy Absolute gems and naturals in their craft.
That reference & drawing parallels with Doctor WHO is just...everything the world could've asked for! His story & journey literally resonates so much with the Doctor's!
I'm with you Ali, it's hard for me to accept that this is it. In fact I think I can accept every other character's departures except Loki. And did Tom seriously said that he didn't deserve any of the praise? Is he insane? He carries the mcu in his back
Always loved loki since the first thor movie and watching his character develop all these years and him ending up as the God of Multiverse rising above all is just how i imagine Loki.. as the greater form of God. And the thought of this being the last of Loki in mcu hits me hard. Thank you Tom hiddleston for your hard dedication♡ Long Live Loki
I just finished season 2 and my god did this show have an impact on me. Such a fantastic show that delves into much deeper themes that leave you engulfed within the constant struggles of Loki's own being and the desire to find a higher purpose. This is easily the BEST piece marvel has released to date and I struggle to find comparisons that have made such a profound impact on myself.
*Tom Hiddleston’s Dedication and Passion to Marvel and Loki* - He read all the comics as he was growing up. - He watched the movies since the beginning and loved them. - He held multi-day (4 day) long ‘Loki’ & ‘Marvel’ lectures for the entire cast and crew even going to Owen’s house several days in a row to help him prepare for his role as ‘Mobius.’ - He learnt Norwegian and sang in it as well as learnt Latin. He studied Norse lore to prepare for his role in the first Thor movie. - He gave the cast pieces of poetry to help with their imaginations! - He asked the composer, Natalie Holt to put certain music tracks into particular scenes. - He did a nine year essay on the character - He was made ‘special executive producer’ since he has such passion and knowledge of Marvel!
This is a profound interview. I didn’t expect such a moving answers from Tom. It seems like he genuinely loves the character deeply. Fascinating insight.
It’s like a flip book, but it’s running backwards, then forwards, and all the images are printed on transparencies. But the strain is real, and the hair flip is epic. Every. Single. Time. 👏

This interview made really emotional. I don't know why, I hace seen many of those post loki's end interviews, but this one really gets me. And I think is probably because of how Ali is feelings he translated or embody what all of us are feeling.
Tom and Ali are so charming in their behaviour. They both just possess this natural calm, friendly and warm energy
Absolute gems and naturals in their craft.
The way Tom loves Loki...
That reference & drawing parallels with Doctor WHO is just...everything the world could've asked for!
His story & journey literally resonates so much with the Doctor's!
The bass in that voice, my speakers were shaking!
I'm just starting to watch the video wearing headphones and OMYGAWD HIS VOICE
Loki will return
I'm with you Ali, it's hard for me to accept that this is it. In fact I think I can accept every other character's departures except Loki. And did Tom seriously said that he didn't deserve any of the praise? Is he insane? He carries the mcu in his back
Always loved loki since the first thor movie and watching his character develop all these years and him ending up as the God of Multiverse rising above all is just how i imagine Loki.. as the greater form of God. And the thought of this being the last of Loki in mcu hits me hard. Thank you Tom hiddleston for your hard dedication♡
Long Live Loki
I just finished season 2 and my god did this show have an impact on me. Such a fantastic show that delves into much deeper themes that leave you engulfed within the constant struggles of Loki's own being and the desire to find a higher purpose. This is easily the BEST piece marvel has released to date and I struggle to find comparisons that have made such a profound impact on myself.
*Tom Hiddleston’s Dedication and Passion to Marvel and Loki*
- He read all the comics as he was growing up.
- He watched the movies since the beginning and loved them.
- He held multi-day (4 day) long ‘Loki’ & ‘Marvel’ lectures for the entire cast and crew even going to Owen’s house several days in a row to help him prepare for his role as ‘Mobius.’
- He learnt Norwegian and sang in it as well as learnt Latin. He studied Norse lore to prepare for his role in the first Thor movie.
- He gave the cast pieces of poetry to help with their imaginations!
- He asked the composer, Natalie Holt to put certain music tracks into particular scenes.
- He did a nine year essay on the character
- He was made ‘special executive producer’ since he has such passion and knowledge of Marvel!
I haven’t watched the season 2 and yet this felt such a heart felt interview for me. Thank you Ali and Tom for always being genuine people.
This is a profound interview. I didn’t expect such a moving answers from Tom. It seems like he genuinely loves the character deeply. Fascinating insight.
How much he cares about Loki 💚🥺
Gotta love Loki 💪💪
tom’s voice would be SO good for an audiobook
He has done that. I believe one of them is on TH-cam too, the whole 5 hours or so xD
@@Elenuay damn 5 hrs
He did the audiobook for High Rise and you can find it on YT.
It’s like a flip book, but it’s running backwards, then forwards, and all the images are printed on transparencies. But the strain is real, and the hair flip is epic. Every. Single. Time. 👏
Tom Hiddleston should do some voiceover for Calm app. His voice has that affect to put everyone to sleep
What a heartwarming interview! The atmosphere was so special, like two old friends catching up.
I also want to thank Ali for his work over the years, it’s been a delight watching the interviews with you two :)
Thank you for this wonderful interview, the fact that Tom was moved shows how much he cares about all this 🥺❤
When he ascends to his throne, I lose my breath. its such a powerful set of moments that is pure storytelling and an emotional roller coaster.
Tom Hiddleston is and always will forever be a Hero of mine.
I cried my eyes out on the end episode...
I'm gonna miss the early friday wake ups to see God of Mischief in action
