Wow man, this really showcases the shear amount of emotions that cycling brings to every rider competing at the highest level! Thanks you guys, this gave me chills.
the amount of work they put into preparing and what they have to miss for it, time without family and friends, strict diets, endless hours of training on and off the bike. And winning a major race can mean the difference between receiving a large bonus from their team's contract or being broke. Or getting a better contract for the following year or not getting a contract at all and having to choose another profession. It's very serious for these men, it's only entertainment for us.
Exactly what I was thinking. Absolute cinema. Everything about this is - and the titles are a major ingredient. Possibly the best sporting highlights I've had the privilege of watching.
Oh this is so wholesome! 3 amazing cyclists duking it out, leaving it all out there...then, Campenaerts brought to tears while sharing his joy with his partner, Michal hiding from press because he was surely crushed by his effort...and then Matteo, omg, and his teammates reassuring him, I want to hug him. I want to give them all a hug. All heart and feels, Fierce young men. It's beautiful to witness it all...🥰
He is only 23 years old is Matteo Vercher he will have many more chances i believe. He's already won alot of races as a junior. Nice to see the passion, this is what it is all about in the greatest cycle race in the world!
The editor of all these videos recently and today needs a very high raise! Every highlights has a story and better than any other sport highlights. Kudos!
I always feel like the pacing would suffer if they would try to reach x amounts of minutes. Whoever is editing these videos does an amazing job with keeping you hooked and invested in whatever the storyline is today and adding more b-roll or whatever for the runtime would hinder that imo.
Just chills… the scene of victor campenart’s winning is a lesson that you have been trying to long yet still don’t lose the fire to try again. And the last scene of total energies rider was like to tell us, life is just full of letdowns even after you’ve struggle a lot yet so close to objective..but true friends will always be there to comfort you.. That’s why TdF is the best..
The end shows how close victory and defeat, joy and sadness are for top atheletes. I am very happy today for Vocsnor, a well deserved win for his efforts the past years.
@6:42 my tears willfully drop on my desk. Highlighting the emotional side of this sport is the best thing that happened to the TDF hghlights. Well done!
love vic, since start iv been a lotto fan, he did that 1h record, hes just such a all out great person for cycling. in cold rainy spring races his still has a smile on his face
Best feed channel for the coverage of Le Tour ! Absolutely love it, and each day smashing covers. Can you please extend the highlights to little more to 12 to 15 min?
Il me rappelle Lance Armstrong.
He said “désolé” which means “I’m sorry” he wasn’t crying for himself he was crying for not winning the stage for his team…yes, that is heartbreaking and hopefully he will try again. Persistence is omnipotent in this sport. Meanwhile. Victor’s suffered the same fate countless times and never gave up. He finally got his reward for all the hard work, dedication and persistence…what a sport, what athletes ❤ 🏆
These highlights showcase that the riders all suffer and had to give up a lot of things while a lot of them earn minimum wage. Hope this beautiful sport gets the attention it needs.
I was so happy for Campenaerts, but also so sad for Kwiatkowski and Vercher. the effort of 18 stages to allow them to get to that moment in the finishing line... specially Kwiatkowski, that looked so silly being ahead, looking behind and missing it. ugh, tough
Road cycling is the only sport where only winning matters. I wonder where this destructive philosophy came from? In Mountain biking, the top 5 all celebrate their achievements as they cross the line. Unfortunate that Matteo Vercher is made to feel bad about finishing second in an epic TdF stage. It's an amazing achievement.
@@hampuspetersson8085 he won the world cup of cycling last year. The winner of the world cup gets to wear that kit, the rainbow jersey, for the entire year.
Matteo Vercher s'est vraiment bien défendu avec puis contre deux immenses coureurs. Je ne lui trouve pas de raison d'être désolé. Moi je l'ai trouvé grandiose et plein de panache. Coeur avec les doigts !
Yeah basically they wouldn't let him get away up the road.... if Vingegaard tries to join a "breakaway" the entire teams from other contenders would fight to keep up or stop that breakaway from forming.
TP would be all over his tail and perhaps even jump him to put a few more seconds into his lead. I'd say Jonas is eyeing tomorrow's huge day and then the time trial for the finale
the best scene of this stage was all the riders sharing a package of M&M's hahahaha In my imagination, they brought the M&M's to the race to eat 'secretly'. the reason why they ride in a pack is not for aero purposes, it is to hide the eating of M&M's hahahaha
The last scene is heartbreaking
Bro that ''desolé'' hit me harder than i expected 🥲🥲🥲🥲
Absolutely 😢

Whoever is coming up with the TITLES of these Highlights is a LEGEND!
lol

7:55 sportsmanship right there, kudos to the Team Total Energies spirit. 👊🏽💪🏽
The ammount of times i have cried watching these recaps... amazing job
These extended highlights are so good. I wish they would make them a little longer like 15+mins and show more!! 🔥🔥
Shows how much one stage means to mortals. The way tadej and Jonas make it routine, you forget how difficult it is to secure just ONE!
It's a consolation to see how close the teams grow to be. Matteo Vercher will, indeed, have other, many opportunities. Chin up and work together!

Yes agree on the quality of these highlight videos so wouldn’t mind if these were a little longer. 15-20 is the sweet spot I think

Always combative! So deserved for Victor!!
Not often I want to cry watching highlights

I am so sad too. somebody help meeeeee

Go again, Vercher. You’ll have more chances.
My Man, Victor Campenaerts! 🎉 🦋 BOOYA!
Lots of heart at this stage!! Very good highlights!!!
Well deserved victory for "my man Victor Campenaerts", as Chris Horner use to say.
Drink one shot for every "my man" tonight 😜
I cried...twice...
This is emotional! I can feel the joy and pain of these riders at the same time.
These highlights are far better than the netflix drama, absolutely outstanding job.
These summaries are so good.

So happy for each person that wins the stage, but it's so heartbreaking for the ones that were so close. I hope they get it one day!
Amazing. Such a beautiful sport
It’s clearly the stache!
yea guy rockin' that stache it's almost an unfair advantage to be styling that hard on your opponents
Correct. He is father now so the moustache will only flourish further and his powers will increase. Probably be a GC guy by next year….
Aero facial handlebars. UCI will shut it down with fines
Just like back in the early tdf with those fancy mustache
kudos for the effort put in making these highlights 👏🏽. I feel like I was watching the whole event live😎✊🏽
Congratulations for all team midia work on edition and shoots in Extended Highlights. Very very top! Emotional, beauty, AMAZING! Show of images.
It’s the hardest race on earth and these riders are the fittest athletes on earth…no one can convince me otherwise

That crying in the end hit me 😢
You just knew Campenaerts was winding up for something special. Superb racing, great stage.
So much emotion, what a beautiful sport
Hugs to the three riders 🤗❤️

Parabéns pelos maravilhosos vídeos! Impossível não se emocionar!!

dream come true. congrats!
Definitely a worthy winner!
🥲 The emotion these riders feel when they win a stage just shows how much they sacrifice for their sport. Congratulations to all stage winners.
Nice! I didn’t think Campaenarts could outsprint Kwiatkowski. Super happy for him and his team!

Yes cycling is suffering and the last scene proves it as the last year Mohoric interview did.

Escapada muy trabajada por los tres ciclistas, merecieron ganar los tres, Campenaerts se llevó el gato al agua.

I do not understand the tactics well enough. Why would Vingegaard not ride out with the breakaway and try to recoup some time from Pagocar?
