Everything in life has gotten so expensive! Running gear is no exception to that. Shoes, clothing, equipment, food, and race-related fees have made a once affordable hobby rather expensive. Not all of us are sponsored runners, so we have to pay out of pocket for our equipment. So in this video I'll share a whole bunch of ways to save money while running in 2024.
These tips apply to any level of runner experience - sprinter, couch to 5k, marathon, or ultramarathon runner. Whatever distance you like to cover, you'll find some benefit from these tips for running on a budget.

Shoes don’t improve THAT much year on year. Some don’t at all, so buying the newest is rarely a big advantage.
I still love the Saucony Endorphin Speed, 2 and use a pair for tempo days even though the 4 is already out.
I also use dried dates and maple syrup as less expensive carbs.

My top ways to save money running:
1 - Don't run
2 - Run Naked
3 - Run barefooted
4 - Run local. Very local. Like inside your home. Naked and barefooted.
5 - Drink from your neighbors hose
6 - If all those fail, then use your advice as backup.

You guys are spending money to run? I just run for fun and don't care about what shoe I wear or what my PRs are (I have ran a 5K in 20 minutes for reference), I just run for the sake of it. Moslty because of boredom so just wear whatever I have, plus I used to run barefoot as many of my friends.
