You guys really need to stop advertising stuff as "available for purchase" when you have nowhere near enough inventory to fulfill orders. People have been waiting for months with no updates.
@@KallMeKG There is a supply shortage. But I just got my advanced ring yesterday. Apparently I was #4 on the pre-order list. I sent an email to customer service and they said it would still be another month, and then miraculously I got it 1 week later.
I'm so exited for this ring. Ordered straight away back in november. Hope it will arrive soon (like everyone else) haha. This ring will take my RED Komodo kit to the next level and with a bit of luck this works so well we can retire the Movi Pro for gimbal work :)
in this video it makes clear that you can pair a handle with the nano. But can we assign the handles to use the Nucleus M? I mean right handle for zoom module and left for focus module. I guess it is possible, right?
Ignore the printed instructions for pairing as they don’t work! The tutorial here is accurate and far more helpful. Finally got mine after too many months of waiting 👍🏻
Hey man I saw in another video that the connection point between the gimbal and the ring doesn't actually hold perfectly tight and that there is a small play even if you tighten as hard as possible 🥴 is this true?

Is there a video that describes how to re-calibrate the control wheel on the remote control handle? The manual has no information on this. I am able to get to the calibration mode in the menu, but do not know the steps or button press combinations to do the calibration procedure and store it.
I am trying to get my DJI focus motor to work on this setup (DJI - RS3/Advanced Ring Grip) I have the toggle on joystick handle set to "df" (dji focus motor). When switched to "tf" my Tilta Nucleus Focus motor works perfectly and is controlled by other handle with focus thumb wheels, but when toggled to "df" I can't get my DJI focus motor engage or work. Any idea? Does the other handle with 2 spin wheels need to be completely off and only the joystick handle on to make it work?
If I want to use a 1st AC pulling focus with the handle grip on my DJI Focus motor, I am left with only one handle grip for myself. So what handle grip product do I need to buy to replace the one my focus puller is using? Are there options beside buying another $200 USD grip handle for the ring?
I got my advanced ring in and I'm trying to pair 2 nucleus nano motors to the wireless lens control handle. I can pair a focus motor using the front dial and that functions fine, but when I want to pair a second motor for zoom how should I set it up? If they are both on the same wireless channel the focus dial will control both and the zoom dial does nothing.
@@hippy3000 The answer I got from Tilta is that the nucleus N can't do multi channel, so you have to use the lens control handle to control one motor and the camera control handle to control a second motor. The dual lens handle is for nucleus M. Unfortunate that they don't market that very well, because I'd like to use the camera control handle dial for iris control only, but I have to split duty with a focus motor using the switch.
Hey @Tilta ! Looking forward to receiving my unit. QUESTION: Is it possible to attach two v-mount modules for hot swapping and balance? And is it possible to attach two power modules? Thank you for taking the time to address this.
@@TILTAI have a problem with V-mount plate from the beginning. Plate doesn't work. Nattery should work immediately after installation or maybe I need to change settings on rs2? i will be grateful for your response
Hey TILTA I just get the Basic Ring, my question is if you figure it out about the power, for example when you connect the Ronin battery as HANDLE the power start running thru the FULL RING, there is no way to use the power just when you turn on the camera right??, so the battery is sharing the power even if there is no gimbal attached. I figure it out when I leave the ring setup for 2 days with full battery and sudden the battery was completely dead..
Unfortunately the Ring Grip will pull a small amount of power when a power source is attached even when you are not using the gimbal. This isn't enough to be an issue while shooting, but we recommend not leaving power sources connected when the Ring Grip is not being used!
My advanced ring grip is paired to the RS2 but right now I don't have the ability to control the RS2 tilt/pan/focus? I have tried turning the unit on/off multiple times, taking it apart and putting it back together, repairing the handle to the tilta wireless module on the RS2, switching the DF/TF switch but neither are working. I usually use the power outputs on the ring to power a Ninja V as well as a Nanlite Mixpad 11c but for the sake of troubleshooting have disconnected these items. The RS2 and Tilta Advanced Ring Grip have previously worked fine for the past 12-18 months and only running into this issue today. Tilta please help?
After disconnecting the wireless module once more and reconnecting it I now have the ability to control pan/tilt/focus. I have a sneaky suspiscion Tilta's wireless unit that you mount onto the RS2 is not fantastic as I've run into this same issue multiple times in the past.
Is the wireless control module powered separately in some way. I have my RS2 on the ring. I bought separate batteries for the handles. They turn on. The gimbal powers on (with the RS2 handle mounted to the top of the ring as in the video). But when I attach the wireless module to the side of the gimbal at at the 3:25 mark of the video, the wireless module doesn't turn on. Is there some kind of additional battery I'm missing? Or do I have a defective module?
Hi and hello from Hamburg. Thank you for your great videos, keep it up!!!! I now also have a ring grip advanced and apparently I have a problem. maybe you can help me. I plugged in the rs2 battery handle at the top and a vmount battery at the bottom. Everything works too. However, the Ronin's battery grip will fully discharge within 1.5 hours. Is that normal? Do you have to adjust something somewhere? vg marco
Hi thank you for the video. I am curious to know roughly how long the whole system would run on a single DJI battery. Also is there an optional bracket or rigging part to attach this to an easyrig?
The Ring Grip will power just about as long as the RS2 will off just the battery handle! As you power additional accessories, the overall battery life will become shorter
I highly doubt it because the top battery grip distributes power to the gimbal if you arent't using one of the vmount or gold mount plates. So you can imagine there is some cabling entering the ring from that position.
With the Vmount and the RS2 battery handle attached, will both batteries power all accessories mounted to the ring grip? If so, which battery will drain first, the vmount or the handle?
All you need to do is set the handles to the same channel as the motors and assign the motor number to the dial you would like to use! Please contact our support team for further clarification: support@tilta.com
Great Stuff! Is there any Chance for releasing an RS2 Bluetooth Module for the Blackmagic Pocket Cameras? Since they dont have LanC, it's a huge Pain that you have to use the only USB C Port as Start/Stop on the Pocket.
