It really does. I decided there would be no backgrounds this year. Setting the right scene, getting the lighting just so, making sure all the props are in perfect scale with the mermaid. It takes a lot of work to do 31 separate pieces, I really admire the people who can manage it.
I love the way you detailed the whale's belly! The axolotl was really cute to with an interesting take on the frills!

Yessssss, decided to draw 31 mers instead of 31 separate pieces for mermay. Felt it helped to ease into doing a challenge like this.
