@Zalia Curles it’s 2022 lmfao. There’s technology for that. You know that accessibility setting on your phone you never bother to look at? It has some great options for various disabilities
Actually my daughter at 5' 0" has the same issue and spent almost all of high school in flats or sneakers. Her one dream was to wear heels for prom and graduation. We spent the last if her junior year and start if her senior working with O&M instructor trying to learn to manage heels, but after many falls, a split chin, a fractured wrist and many scrapped knees we were going to give up when her father came up with the idea of solving it electronically. What she felt with toes was as with any shoe but she was thrown off by nit fully feeling through the heel. He ended up installing three of the little vibratory disc's all set to vibrate differently in soul of her shoes connected to sensors in the actual heel that communicated things to her like when the heel was set down flat on a service. It took her about a week to get used to the vibrations, and she not only could walk well but was secure when dancing.
wow, i kinda feel like this would also be great for winter boots/galaushas, and really thick hiking or combat boots meant for long treks, especially for the outdoorsy types. they already make purpose made mobility canes meant for all sorts of climbing trailing and off roading, some of which i think can even hold weight, sort of a cross between a hiking pole and mobility cane. why not combine it with sensor boots, get the full feel for the terrain around you for the most sure steps and navigations possible.
This reminds me of Toph from Avatar: The Last Airbender. When she had to wear shoes for her firenation disguise, she had the same complaint (she would normally opt out of shoes) and ended up ripping the soles off her shoes so she could be better aware of her surroundings.
Ripping off the soles with not help, she needs the souls to give her some height. The only thing I can think of is using your cane more, if you have one if you don't get one and get trained on how to use it.
I'm not blind, but i absolutely understand this. I'm autistic, and i also adore a chunky platform, but I'm very detail oriented. If I wear a platform, I lose a good chunk of my coordination, not because of the shoe raising me so high, but because I can't feel the ground's texture. Every step feels extremely solid and smooth. It's a confusing experience for me, and I'm sure it can cause a lot more confusion for you
As a sighted person, I can actually relate to this in a very specific way. Driving in heels. It's very difficult to feel the pedals and the specific amount of pressure I need to use to accelerate or decelerate at a smooth rate.
I legit didn't realize people drive in heels 🙃 I always take mine off and drive barefoot for that very reason. I'd hate to see how poorly I drove if I kept them on 🤣
Heels are scary, but I drive slow for a few minutes to get adjusted. But work boots? You know, steel toed type of boots, they are heavy, so they add weight I didn't ask for sometimes, and that's scary sometimes. Like WHEN did I accelerate 10 mph?!
I drove home in heels ONCE. I drive a stick so it made everything more difficult to do. Plus my feet hurt even more because of the angle. Now, I have flats in my car so that I'm not driving barefoot.
Molly! I am pausing mid-video to comment that your WHOLE ENTIRE look today is 10 out of 10 adorable!! Your outfit, hair, makeup and shoes are all killing it. OMG girl, you look GREAT! 💖
@@essetaok She asks lodes of questions and gets things described so she can understand what things would look like- but she went blind in her teens so she could easily have seen a picture of Farrah Fawcett before then
Omg your hair and makeup is STUNNING in this video!! I'm 5' and I have fibromyalgia and can't wear heals :( But I very much appreciate being able to feel the texture of the ground below me with thin souled shoes! Despite being sighted, it's still nice
I have that issue when wearing platforms and driving. I’m neither blind nor short, but wearing platforms while trying to feel the pedals while driving is rough
I love hearing about your experience of life. It never occurred to me that using your feet to help feel your environment was important. It's so obvious in retrospect! Also I agree with the other commenters that you look marvelous.
Oh my word, your hair is fire! I loveeeee it. Also thank you for being such an inspiration, I'm not blind but I do have vision problems and have had to wear glasses for awhile thank you so sooooo much!
I'm sighted but clumsy as hell!! So, I have fell down many stairs... (Left marks in one of the stairs with my studded belt in my childhood home...) So, I use the back of my heel to make sure my foot is as back as it can be on the stairs if I can't put my foot sideways. I'm very scared, not to say terrified of fall in a bad way and getting really injured..... Like, my partner would rather we buy a one story home.... That's how clumsy I am....
I don't get the obsession that some guys have with ladies in high heels. I see ladies in high heals, and I just see the heightened protentional for a broken ankle. Those these platform shoes she has here are not really high heals, the hole sole is thicker, so it's not effecting the things that are bad for the body with high feels.
I KNOW its judgmental and I know its often done to just be fashionable but every time I see someone in heels my brain instantly judges them as less intelligent. I know looks are a game but I just cannot get into it as the stupidity of it is just a brick wall for me.
So then what was the point of the video. Also im confused, your blind but you seem to keep up with the camera pretty well and how do you know what you are wearing as far as fashion is your blind. What would it matter what your wore as long as you are comfortable. And these are genuine questions, i stumbled on this short cuz ive been scrolling too long.
She can see some light and shadows, so a camera light can guide her. Also, I imagine whoever is filming (maybe her mom) said "look here." She had sight (though poor) for a little bit as a kid so may remember some visual things, but mostly people just describe the color, pattern, etc. and she feels the texture and stuff of the clothes.
The purple color on your eyes make them pop, and your hair holds a beautiful curl! No one can deny your sense of style, but the look is giving all of it in this video.
This look suits you SO well!! Your hair is stunning and your outfit compliments its vibe perfectly. It's giving Olivia Newton John, at her peak, modernized 🤩
You are so beautiful! Stay safe and good for you for living life to the fullest and not letting your disability get in your way. So much respect, girl! 😘🥰❤🙌🏻👏🏻
I'm so glad I saw this post! I love you Molly! You are a sweet creative powerhouse fashionista, beautiful and such an inspiration. You'll adapt to these boots, they are so cute.
Don’t worry hun, I have the same problem, just at the other end of the scale! I’m 6 foot tall and have a large collection of black platform boots and heels! Very goth in style. Sometimes I am nearly 6 ft 5” in my shoes but I feel very powerful! You’re very right about not feeling the floor though 😅, and I do step very thoughtfully. Many blessings to you xxx
Your hair and makeup and shoes and outfit look AMAZING 🤩🤩
I agree!!
was gonna sayyy
Getting real Sandy from Grease vibes!

This explains so much about my own shoe preferences... Thank you for sharing your experience! 💚
As a sighted person, I can actually relate to this in a very specific way. Driving in heels. It's very difficult to feel the pedals and the specific amount of pressure I need to use to accelerate or decelerate at a smooth rate.
This is is the exact reason I drove home from a wedding bare footed last week!
I legit didn't realize people drive in heels 🙃 I always take mine off and drive barefoot for that very reason. I'd hate to see how poorly I drove if I kept them on 🤣

If she is blind why and how she do her make up. How she choose outfits. Is she partially blind

your hair is looking incredible in this vid. It really really suits you! I'm getting serious farrah fawcett inspired vibes here and I love it.
no offense, serious question, how would she get someone's reference? like, how could she be inspired by someone's looks if she's never seen it?

I too, have Fibro. and R.A. and can no longer wear heels anymore. 😭 I miss them too, cuz I'm only 5'3"!!
Well, I'm tall so I'm not comfortable wearing heels either.
Choosing fashion over function is totally relatable Hun! ❤
I have that issue when wearing platforms and driving. I’m neither blind nor short, but wearing platforms while trying to feel the pedals while driving is rough
SAME! I can’t feel the pedals and I’ll either go extremely fast or extremely slow bc I can’t feel how hard I’m pressing on the pedal lol.
This is a great point and helps me as a sighted person relate to what she means! Thank you for this comment ♥️
That’s why you’re not supposed to wear platforms whilst driving
Same, I just take off my shoes, if I’m wearing heels or platforms, while driving then put them on when I get there
I used to carry around car slippers for exactly this problem
The change in you from the beginning of your channel to now is just amazing!! Keep being you babe.
Omg, I NEED those boots in my life… Anyone know what they are or have a link????! You’re stunning as always Molly!! ❤️✨
Madden Girl Phoebee Platform (I have them lol)

As another tiny blind girl, this is honestly why I don't wear heels.
Love the side hair part and makeup. Very flattering!
same height similar style & despite not being blind end up feeling things ahead & around using my walking crutches!
The hair make up and outfit are on point!! But the hair looks magnificent!!! I'd love to see more curly hairstyles on you!!!
I once loaned my corks (spike bottom logging boots) to my blind friend. She took about 2 steps & decided she'd rather walk barefoot in the snow/ice.
Hair and makeup are on point today, Molly! Xoxo
Girl I'm 4' 10" and sighted and still can't safely walk in heels to save my own life! Consider it your superpower lol

My girlfriend is 37 years old and is 4'7", she is into fashion but also knowledgeable enough to know that high heels are not healthy to any body!
I don't get the obsession that some guys have with ladies in high heels. I see ladies in high heals, and I just see the heightened protentional for a broken ankle.
Those these platform shoes she has here are not really high heals, the hole sole is thicker, so it's not effecting the things that are bad for the body with high feels.
yeah platforms are much easier on the feet cause you can get proper support still with it

GIRL THAT OUTFIT IS SO CUTE AND THE HAIR OMG
Whenever I take my guide dog to the park, next to my apartment, I go barefoot so I can better know where I am.
Not to be rude but how does she know what her shoes look like.... she's blind?! I'm confused
People tell/explain them to her. I'm not positive if that's how she knows but that's how a lot of blind people know weather things are cute or not.
it’s crazy because i remember when she first started and her style had grown so freaking much i love it she’s so beautiful 😭
So then what was the point of the video. Also im confused, your blind but you seem to keep up with the camera pretty well and how do you know what you are wearing as far as fashion is your blind.
