I already had a dream to live in a narrowboat in the UK (I lived in London for 8 years altogether as student/foreigner) I can't do that in a narrowboat in the UK but im considering living in a boat here in Brazil where I come from. Of course many are in dire straights on this crazy chunk of matter we call Earth. Everyone deals with stuff that hopefully balances out to the positive. You bring me down to earth with amazing music, photography and videography. I am in my mid 60's, semi-retired after over three decades of pounding nails and building in commercial construction. They recently did a conversion and the boat owner was also able to do work on his boat at the same time, which helped with costs. You might find ideas for when the time is right for you. I know you have been through such a thing yourself. I just find being in nature so heart breaking now I'm not sharing it with my one true love after 54 years. Crazy! I know? I was very emotional watching the barn owl fly, it was one of mine and Terrys totem creatures. I'm hearing tawny owls near to where I live this last couple of nights, and the starling mutations are stunning, not to mention the geese on the move 😢. Take care. Hi Dave, hope you are well. It's Ian here, David's brother. We met you on our cruise in April. I was wondering what was being built just up the canal on the right hand side from where you set off in this episode. It looked like a bike or skateboard track and ramps being built out of the land directory next to the canal. It looked like most of it was being built by hand by moving and shaping the earth into the desired shape. Tale care ❤❤
Hi 👋 yes, its a bike track circuit, built by the folk who I presume live at the big house there before the swing bridge. It's sad to see that nature is cleared to make way for the pleasure of off-road biking. Many trees have had many feet of earth piled up against the trunks and branches removed from them to form ramps. I wonder if they got planning permission from the local council and CRT?
@@inspiredbynature3 I wondered about planning permission at the time as removing all the trees that and plants surly has an impact on drainage and helps hold the bank together. Thanks for your reply. ❤️
