This is the only video tutorial that helped with my 2000 Toyota Cresta. All other Toyota methods failed. Thank JDM guy. You just helped out a guy from half-way across the world.
i bought a new key from you guys on ebay last year. just found this video after having the key cut for the car here in japan. Finally decided to look up how to do it, and found your video. Awesome stuff! Cheers from the US
This is really great - thank you! One question... you mentioned you swapped the internals... does that mean you kept the original key case? I bought a new key fob for my JZX100 but the local Toyota dealership cut the key too deep. They reimbursed me to order a new key from Japan, which was greatly appreciated and I now have the replacement in hand. I was trying to figure out if I could salvage the damaged key's fob by swapping out the damaged key with the original key but the key shaft seems to be molded directly into the case. The case on my original key is old and damaged so I can't just move the guts over. Hope that makes sense... looking forward to any insight! Thanks!
Hi mate Yes that’s right, I kept the original key casing but swapped the transponder to one that was working The key and half the case are one piece and that piece you can’t change Hope that helps
@@Jdmrestoration yeah that's what I thought... :( Finally got my new key cut and was able to follow your instructions to successfully program the fob - thank you!!!! It took a couple of tries for me - not sure if the timing for lock/unlock and wait for the next round needs to be perfect? Also, I found there was a very long delay between the last step and the car acknowledging with cycling the locks. Anyway, I really appreciate the video and I'm happy to have remote functionality once again.
I’m a little late to the party but this is the only video I’ve found to get my JZS171 into pairing mode, once I press the key fob after cycling the locks I get nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated!!
damnit, I was looking for the way to do this on the crowns its the same method but no one told me I had to take the damn key out of the cylinder at the end of the on off cycle
Just 2 weird questions, idk nothing bout keys. Would 2 fobs work at the same time? And why do my locks cycle every time the cars off, and the keys are left inside/nearby? Got locked out cuz of the second one 😂
Weird and dumb question but after programming the key like you did. Is it also programmed to start the car or is that a different procedure on it’s own?
I just bought your key and have done exactly what you are doing in the video but it still won’t pair. I have a apexi power fc ecu could that be the problem?
Does holding the key in there put down only the drivers window or passenger too? ....my drivers one stops halfway down and I have to turn the key again 😂
I love the video, but I am doing the steps you outlined to my JZX100, and the door switch works (interior ringing speaker and door marker light switches on and off), but it won't go into that programming mode... It won't cycle the locks on its own. Any ideas?
I can't get this to work with my s2 jzx110. the internals of the second hand one I bought from Japan is good but it was a white module and my key has black internals. is the fob not compatible between s1 and s2? but the car won't auto cycle the locks after I do the steps up to turning the key to on and removing

Awesome! Always glad to help spread knowledge and keep these cars alive.
Just went outside at 2 in the morning in my underwear to try that window hack. Had my car 7 years, never knew.
Meeeeeeee too!
Haha that's awesome
😂😂😂
Even Lexuses can do that too, even the Aristo
Does it work on a jzx90

What color code is it?
probably the cleanest chaser i have ever seen...nice!
Best looking jzx100 out there
Thanks mate, this works on the jzx110 mark 2 aswell
Hey, was it S1 or S2 that this worked on? I have s1 jzx110 and can't seem to get this to work. Cheers
@@idiotjon5556 mine was an s1
@@micksmobilemechanics I try this in mine and I get like 2 flicks of the switch in and my locks don’t cycle anymore
This worked on my 1999 Crown Athlete V. (Jzs171) thanks for the vid and wanted to post to let others know it works on Crowns.
Same here bro. Worked on my 2000 athlete v after years of opening with the key
Yess, after five failed attempts, i got it right!
Thank you for the video and my new key fob!
Thanks. Key programming worked like a charm on my crown athlete v 2000. Jzs171.
But the window tricks don’t work on it unfortunately
Had my jzx 3 years and no idea about this, thanks 😂
wow thats cool you even have chaser
thanks for the information I try it on mind when I get my new key

What rims and fitment are they , they look Baller. I'd love to know for my JZX100
Chaser best 🏎

Hey mate is it the same process for a jzx100 tourer s? Having trouble putting the car in programming mode
Thank you soo much.
Wish all 90s Toyota models have hidden features
How many remotes can be programmed at one time? I have a 2nd remote
Just 2 weird questions, idk nothing bout keys. Would 2 fobs work at the same time? And why do my locks cycle every time the cars off, and the keys are left inside/nearby? Got locked out cuz of the second one 😂
does this work for 1992 toyota mark ii (cressida)
Weird and dumb question but after programming the key like you did. Is it also programmed to start the car or is that a different procedure on it’s own?
Do you know if all jzx100 chasers come with keyless entry setups? Car comes with no remote key, so could I just program a key fob to it?
I just bought your key and have done exactly what you are doing in the video but it still won’t pair. I have a apexi power fc ecu could that be the problem?
Do all JZX100's come with a wireless locking assembly? I bought my Cresta and it didn't come with a keyfob. If they do, ill look more into it
I have no idea why I clicked on this video, I can't even own a Chaser. 🤣
My JZX115 HAS THE SAME ISSUE OF KEYS . HAVE TRIED TO SWAP THE INTERNALS OF MY OLD KEY LIKE YOU DID BUT IS NOT HAPENING. HELP ME ON JZX115
Thanks a lot mate it worked

Is it a Tourer S or Tourer V? Are you allowing 1 full second intervals between cycles?
@@Jdmrestoration definitely Tourer V, and definitely waiting long enough. Weird/annoying anomaly.
How you've managed to install these Recaros ?
With Bride Ro rails, it requires modifying the bottom of the seat however which isn’t ideal

How did you do the tachometer needle test?
Добрый панд Hi mate
That is possible because of the link fury ecu this car is running
It does a tacho sweet/ calibration on start up 🙂
Would this work on a tourer s? 98 model?
Does this work on the GX100?
Do you know which battery the key needs?
Yes CR1220
Hi mate, you engine bay looks sick!! Could you share your mod list?
Check out other video..thanks
Do you know if the jzx90 has the same codes as this? Or it only comes in jzx100s.
Thanka
I’m not too sure but it worth to try
one more:
it can drift
Damn, my key guts are dead. Tried two new batteries.

Hi Mate,
Does this work on a Aristo jzs147 as well?
Worth a try ..
It works on jzx110 so likely it will 😉
Does this work on series 1 aswell?
Christopher Vafeas
Yes mate works on series 1 and 2
Damn I am doing exactly the same but my car is not entering the programing mode, Does the door need to be fully open ?
Theo Punisher Just make sure your drivers door pin switch is working otherwise the car won’t know the door is open.
@@Jdmrestoration how can I confirm that ?
Theo Punisher You can check continuity with a multimeter or just check if your interior light comes on when opening the door
@@Jdmrestoration yes it is the case
@@Jdmrestoration but i notice on the second row of lock unlock . The tab sometimes doesn't go to the full lock position
Is it same for jzx110w
Yes for s1 jzx110 same procedure
is it the same to program fob for a 110 blit
It will be yes
whats the bumper ? is it stock?
