How to make Frankincense Body Cream

This is very rich and nourishing for dry skin. It brings hydration and essential vitamins and nutrients to the skin. In addition, essential oils tone, lift heal and protect skin.
Ingredients:
¼ cup cocoa butter: amzn.to/2bX3OQm
¼ cup coconut oil: amzn.to/2bX4OUw
2 tbsp. sweet almond oil: amzn.to/2bX60Hg
or jojoba oil: amzn.to/2bGH0qp
40 drop frankincense essential oil: amzn.to/2chLAqR
Method:
Into a double boiler melt cocoa butter and combine with coconut oil, jojoba oil or almond oil.
Place bowl into fridge until it starts to harden.
Once cooled and almost hard whip up to a nice fluffy consistency, then add essential oils and mix to combine before storing in a clean jar.

I like the fragrance of coco butter and coconut oil together, smells so wonderful! Add some peppermint essential oil, and sweet birch and it's good for moisturizing AND for pain, you can add Arnica for even more pain relief. I add some olive oil so it's not too firm, never realized you could whip it up though, I'll have to get a hand mixer to try it. Thanks Astar!

I prefer a water based cream as that would be too heavy for my skin, so I would add distilled water to this and blend oil and water together and add a bit of grapefruit seed extract as a preservative and a bit of natural emulsifying wax and some glycerine to help the water and oils mix.

heytheregeorgeygirl the minute you add water, distilled or not you have to contend with bacteria. There are other raw materials you can use to lighten the cream.

@@AstarsPlace thanks Astar. I just tried that amount but it didn't solidify at all after an hour in the fridge. I think It might need quite a bit more.
Maybe I'll try to melt it all again with more butter.
