Man I watch your videos all the time. So much information I learned over the years. Thank you for the time you put into these animals and sharing everything about them!❤
My first ball python is currently pink and in the blue phase for the first time in my care, he’s a high white pied 😍 I have a banana hatchling joining me as soon as he’s eating properly and the right weight. Thank you for your videos they really help out! I also love the fact you show a beautiful view at the end with your drone. I’m so jealous haha I’d love to live there. Hope your keeping well, I’m all the way from Wirral/Liverpool England! Keep up the amazing work you do x
from one breeder to the next, As always Amazing Vid Chris, hence why i subbed a while ago but love the ending of this vid with the drone footage it definitely gave it a unique vibe
Thank you for explaining this. I've had my ball python for almost 7 weeks now and he's going through his first shed with me. He was hiding for the last week or so and was in his blue phase just a few days ago. I finally saw him out of his hide today and he was in the clear phase and that really confused me because I didn't see any shed.
I saw some good advice in a ball python group. My first snake had some stuck shed, so I soaked her in a tub of shallow warmish water (with holes). I put in something heavy-ish for her to hold on to, since they feel more comfortable with something to wrap around. But the group recommended layers of damp paper towels along the bottom and on top. Then you don't have to worry about them swimming, and they can possibly rub their own shed off a bit!
I have a question, my ball python was on the floor when I heard this high pitched wheeze. But he did it for say 4 or 5 times then haven't heard anything. His mouth was closed when he made the sound. He had a meal 3 days ago, is out moving around. Haven't heard any more noise yet. Any idea what it might be?
Uhh so I got my ball python a week ago and her belly is pink but she has no blue eyes. And she seems to have this clear flakey skin on her stomach too and I’m getting a little worried. I’m not sure if it’s stuck shes or what
A way that I have found for my snakes (I have a lot of spiders, and I've picked a few up in putrid condition) is a humidity box. Get a lockable container (with air holes) and two rough rags dampened with 85 degree water, place one rag on the bottom of the container, place the snake in, and cover it with the other rag, close the container and set it on an 85-88 degree hot pad and check on them every so often to check the temp, and recover them if they've worked themselves on top of the cloth. Most of mine just sleep in it.
Thank you! It's not mine 🙃. Don't dampen the top rag too much or you could suffocate the snake (I always just lift the rag back when I check on them for a few seconds to get some fresh air between the rags)
My baby I got Saturday is in blue with milky eyes, I have his humidity at 70% since he’ll be shedding.. do you think that’s high enough? I’m so scared for him to get stuck shed lol
I have a question we are new to snake owning and this is the first time our snake is starting the shedding process. She has been in her hide for 2 days without coming out is this normal? Also when will she start to shed and leave the hide?
My normal ball python and pastel ghost bothhad really really cloudy blue eyes 3 days ago i checked them both this morning and the pastel shed but the normal still has cloudy eyes but not as blue as they were 3 days ago her body seems brighter and smoother but i havent found a shed? Im a bit confused
Hay chris I was wondering I looking at getting some tubs but I want ones like you got with the cup thing in them just the tubs I gona make my own rack just need 3 where can I get just the tubs and cups
We noticed my girls gonna shed soon. Her belly started turning purpley blue and she’s cranky a couple days ago. She’s also sick rn. Our vet noticed she was going into shed and confirmed my thought since I noticed her belly
Bathing isn't needed. Just put the snake in a tub with a damp towel. The tub should have a lid. One hour later, the snake is finished shedding and can be placed in it's normal tub or vivarium. Works all the time and much better than bathing. Because the environment isn't just damp, the snake can rub the shed off on the towel too. Or put the snake and a damp towel in a pillow case, you don't even need a tub with this method.
Is it normal for the snake to look dull and feel a bit dry after shedding? I was given a 4ft adult female bc the owner was inexperienced and then couldn't keep it, she just shed in one piece but she feels kind of dry and not smooth and shiny like my younger bp. Idk her exact age bc the previous owner had no clue, but is the dryness normal for older bps after shedding?
@Sergio Cardenas don’t bother, generally they won’t eat while in shed. i usually feed mine the day after he completes shedding then resume a feeding schedule.
Good morning from PA chris. I have a question for you, I understand if I have a super (say pastel), breed every baby would have one copy of pastel. But, would every baby still have one copy of the pastel gene if that super pastel also had a copy of leopard, and a copy of say orange dream? Thanks sir, again love the vids, thanks for all the info.👍

You noticed LOL! I took down both my virus videos and two demonetized videos. I was actually watching a virus video from the WHO and half way through watching it it was deleted right in front of me. That spooked me, don't want to risk my channel over a few videos.
Chris Hardwick wow that’s crazy! Kinda weird how sensitive some videos can be. Definitely not worth your channel over it! Especially your channel it’s doing so good!
I didn’t know there was a clear phase I thought he was stuck in shed I was about to force it and remove it like stuck shed but I’ll wait couple days then

You can buy them from ARS Caging. Pretty expensive there but super heavy duty, they will last a lifetime!
Chris i know this is random but my snake bo is currently in shed and is making a slight whistling noise? Should i be worried.
That might be an upper respiratory infection

Go buy reptile polish. It is like a special oil to keep them healthier.
This was sooooo helpful i was scared lol 😨
How do you bump up your humidity
Humidifier or a spray bottle and a couple sprays in the tank will make the water evaporate and turn it into a more humid space
Can you please help my snake is shedding and I need to know if it's safe to feed her when she's shedding?
You can feed when they are shedding, no problem.
