Thank you for this review and answering my questions! I ended up buying a 27cm (US 9), my foot measured 26.5cm The store said to buy them on the tighter side as they would stretch out. I wore them at home for a few days before skating in them and they feel great. Have been skating in them for a bit now and love them. Would be interested in how other people found the sizing and experience on shoes packing out or stretching out.
Great video and totally agree with everything! They are my favourite shoe as well, super comfortable (also for just walking around) I wanted to like the 808's as much but they are just a bit too bulky and heavy for me I guess (they have amazing impact protection though) I'm gonna stick skating the 1010's, my first pair will last me at least another month and I already have two new pairs on the shelf 😃
Really? From what I see the 808 looks less bulky - that's good to know though. Though I've never really been keen on trying those anyway. The 1010 is mint!
@@Damoforce the 808's are really bulky yes, way less board feel than the 1010's and they weigh a lot more too (1010's are 888 grams a pair, 808's are 1102 grams a pair 😅) They have immense impact protection though. I just feel the 1010's are the best (board feel/impact support/comfortable)
I haven't tried the 1010s but I feel how you feel with the 1010s is how I feel for the 808s I love them so much I guess I like them because I'm more of a chunky cupsole skater so I don't mind they feel heavier, I really wanna try the 1010s next
Like you implied, besides functionality and durability- its important I feel they look good too - I cant skate with shoes I don't find aesthetically pleasing.
Do you go same size in your gt blazer as these ? I’m currently using gts and want to buy these as my feet are hurting pretty early into sessions with my Nikes lol .
@@SlickNick98 That would be my major advice to anyone buying Vans. Buy from the pro range. My old Rowan Pro's were pretty solid. What ones did you get?

Glad I could help! Overall as well I just find NB sizing a little weird from shoe to shoe. But these are good imo
Excited to get my pair soon just ordered some on sale from the looks of it seems like a great shoe awesome review dude
Thanks for the kind words!! How did they go for you? Sorry about the late reply - just getting back into things 💕💕
Great review. 100% agree .. my favorite skate shoe as well. Comfortable, durable, and good board feel. What more can you ask for?
I'm not sure, you sumed it up! Looks? And these look good imo and have nice colourways

That's right!! If you're feeling good, you're skating good.

Yeah, both my GT Blazers and NB 1010 are US11
@@Damoforce thank you ! really appreciate the response boss !
They're holding up well for 4 months 👍
Yeah, quite durable!! The bottom will go before the side.
What colorway / exact shoe is this? Looks fire
Grey? I can't remember sorry. I nknow it won't be available anymore. They have dropped some more fire colours though
I like the 808s more and Tyshawn mids (suede)
I have not skated the 808s. What do you feel like the major difference is? I don't really like the toe cap extra bit. Odd shape.
@@Damoforce Better impact protection, lace protection and I like the fit better
@@jouhajohnny interesting about the laces. Can't say I had an issue.
I'm gonna try some Tyshawn mids. Skating my 1st pair of Tyshawn lows and theyre the most comfortable shoe ive skated so far.
@@noritube773 Mids are even more comfortable
You blowing through laces pretty quick with these??
Nah I wouldn't say so, I didn't rip them at all in the end and I skate them still as a backup.
I've been looking for shoes with long lasting soles all the soles I've had have not lasted more than 3-4 months
These are pretty durable. I stay away from things like Nike & Vans for a durable sole usually. They've been the worst for me.
@@Damoforce well just ordered some vans from the pro skater collection I heard those were way more durable than regular vans I hope they last 😬

@@Damoforce I got black and white Zahbas in leather and awesome glad I finally chose a durable shoe
What’s that shoe in the background? Can’t tell if you just have the 1010 in the background while you’re talking about it.
On the left? That's the 1010 as well yeah
