@@OmegaOrdained Knowing what kind of technologies the Asgard are willing to share (Giving earth Hyperdrive technology as an example, possibly other minor ship tech that they didn't reverse engineer from Goa-uld technology.) it is possible that there was a collaboration between the Ancients and the Nox to develop the technology behind flying cities. The Nox and Ancients both also have Stealth technology, the Ancients just didn't use it on their city, though it could be done with a modification simple enough that Rodney figured it out under pressure. We can't really infer anything else from the brief time we saw the Nox city though, other than the fact that it floats, has a cloak, and is similar (Looks like it has a Central spire), but different in design compared to Atlantis.
Nice that these videos exist so thanks to whoever created them. That being said, I get the impression that the narrator is not exactly a knowledgeable Stargate fan, and was just reading text. First of all, he mispronounced Skaara’s name (any Stargate fan knows the correct pronunciation). Secondly, a couple of times he referred to the Nox as having a “symbolic“ relationship planet’s plant life. I’m pretty sure the term that should have been used in that context would have been “symbiotic”. 🙂

We don't really know what happened to the knock during the Ori invasion, my guess would be they just hid, which they do very well. If the Ori found their Planet, they would have thought it wasn't inhabited. 😎👍

id actually like to think the nox use their mental abilities to control their environment as opposed to technology. In many ways also I am glad that the writers left the nox alone as I would hate to see them enslaved or damaged and from what I have seen of them they were ten steps ahead of those who would mean them harm and knew exactly what to do when given enough time.to do so. The only time they didn't was when lay was too close to shakl and ended up slain. Definitely my favourite from the original series. would love to see the the furlongs though just to get a feel of what they were about.
I don't think they were supposed to be related to humans at all. In fact I think they predated humanity. But like most alein species on television, they looked awfully human like.
The title is history of the nox, but you dont talk about their history at all, you just mention some facts, so the video should be called facts about the nox
I don't think the knox could have made it to where they are now with that attitude... but... now that they are way more advanced they certainly can live like that. At the end of the day it always comes down to power and you need said power to follow these rules. That's what always weirded me out about them... you can't just be a pacifist you need to be powerful enough to be a pacifist and în order to get there you need to survive the vast golf of time when you are not powerful enough to be a pacifist.

0:34 Why are there TWO places called MARLOON?? One near Altair, and one at the edge of the galactic disk, on the opposite side of where the Nox are
Did SG1 ever reach out to the Nox about the Ori?
No I don't think so. 😎👍
Lya was my favorite alien, to bad Lya and Nirti couldn't of had a love affair
So The Nox are like Hippies on steroids.
Hahaha well put 🤣👍
4:33 Watching this is reminiscent of the great city of Atlantis. though, if you were watching things in order for the first time, Atlantis should be reminiscent of this.
considering they were both part of the same alliance, perhaps they inspired each other?
That's a good thought! Maybe they helped each other develop the technology to fly cities around?😎👍
🙂
The Nox are fairies
Plants grow from their bodies and they're ok with eating plants yet animals are off the menu?
Symbiotic, not symbolic.
tengo una teoría ese no es su planeta de origen en el episodio dicen que ellos vinieron aquí con la esperanza de tener un nuevo hogar pero quisa escaparo de su planeta por la plaga de los antiguos
That's good, it could be. 😎👍
Close behind Babylon 5 is Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis again the cast storylines and believable characters it contains ever get tired of watching this series excellent
Well said! I love how Stargate goes back and finishes stories, or adds to previously mentioned Canon all the time throughout the runs. Unlike Star Trek next Generation where they would have a really good story but never talk about it again.😎👍
2:37 No one on the comment section recognises Armin Shimerman, the actor?❤
💗
I would very much simp for Liya.... just sayin'...
I have a big question that I must ask what happened to them you know because the Ori had invaded our galaxy and they were using Stargate Network to travel the Galaxy cuz they want to take it over and you what I'm asking is what happened to them did they get defeated by the Ori or the day just cloak a hotel planet
We don't really know what happened to the knock during the Ori invasion, my guess would be they just hid, which they do very well. If the Ori found their Planet, they would have thought it wasn't inhabited. 😎👍
@@OmegaOrdained I'm not sure about that sometimes passive aggressiveness can lead to a civilizations downfall sometimes I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure that the Ori may have exterminated them one they were very highly advanced they basically had the technology to stop them and that is something that probably would have happened if the if they did not find them basically they all right destroyed the hotel planet I think I'm not sure I wonder if you were willing to talk to the creators of Stargate and ask them this question I would do it myself but I'm too shy
You have a good argument, the Ori , could have been a match for the nox. And you're right they probably would have destroyed them if they found them. I'll see what I can do about asking the question, if I get an answer I'll get back to you on this thread. Have a great day!😎👍
@@OmegaOrdained find out what happened to them cuz I have a few ideas what happened to other alien races that only showed up only once but we never heard from them ever again
I just got done watching a episode on Stargate SG-1 what happened to the medieval Christians they said that they buried the gate but how can we be sure if they did I wonder what happened when the all right invaded
id actually like to think the nox use their mental abilities to control their environment as opposed to technology.
Definitely my favourite from the original series. would love to see the the furlongs though just to get a feel of what they were about.
bloody preemptive text you get what I mean in terms of lay (lya) and furlongs (furlings).
Why is this just coming up?
Take note pacifists, the nox can afford to be pacifists because of their technological power. Otherwise they would trampled and dead.
Or a more aggressive civilization would eventually overtake their technology, which pacifism tends to stagnate .
👍
I'm hearing the Nox described, and seeing Apophis' gnarly face. And its symbiotic - not symbolic
The knox are not remotely related to humans
I don't think they were supposed to be related to humans at all. In fact I think they predated humanity. But like most alein species on television, they looked awfully human like.
The title is history of the nox, but you dont talk about their history at all, you just mention some facts, so the video should be called facts about the nox
Sorry about that. They don't have much history in cannon
Hooey!
As this an artificial voice?
I don't think the knox could have made it to where they are now with that attitude... but... now that they are way more advanced they certainly can live like that.
At the end of the day it always comes down to power and you need said power to follow these rules.
That's what always weirded me out about them... you can't just be a pacifist you need to be powerful enough to be a pacifist and în order to get there you need to survive the vast golf of time when you are not powerful enough to be a pacifist.
Unless you evolve in an isolated part of a galaxy, anyhow.
They are somewhat the opposite of the wraiths
Totally 😎👍
If they are as old as the ancients did the wraiths invaded them?
I don't think so. I believe the wrath never left the Pegasus Galaxy. 😎👍
@@OmegaOrdained the nox reminded me of certain race from star trek who is also nature oriented but their history revealed they abandoned their advanced tech and live off on a planet that grants them immortality
The ones from Star Trek Insurrection? 😎👍
mhh , weird maby they are not animal evolution but plant ..explains there behaviour!
symbolic? think you mean symbiotic relationship..
Nox women are hot!
I can't imagine the Bush on them though...
You don’t have to be a Nox to know that regular plants have enough proteins in them, you don’t need anything special prepared. Plants are amazing. 😜
Lots of good info, but really bad music track and not a good narration voice.
Thanks for the feedback 😎👍
@@OmegaOrdained dude I enjoyed your narrative voice. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much Chris! 😎👍
Not symbolic, symbiotic.
Thank you😎👍
Despite the Nox being so "enlightened", they seemed to be pretty arrogant to me
3:30 the nox are smart. Also, plants have tonnes of protein. You should do some research.
so plants are not sacred either ? plants can scream and feel so they're just as bad as meat eaters :P in fact more so because they can't even see the plant in distress and thus ignores it.
