    The only thing about this ice cream is the slight bitter taste from the beef protein unflavored and I believe its the stevia and vanilla that is added to the Equipe brand. I think that is needed for non Equipe protein isolates. I tried it and it works.

    This sounds tasty! Looking forward to trying it. I've been making a yummy high protein frozen yogurt in my single serve Dash ice cream maker. I use 1 cup plain organic Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup organic heavy whipping cream, 1/2 tsp.vanilla extract, 1/2 packet of LMNT Citrus flavor electrolyte powder. The flavor ends up tasting like key lime. Tangy and delicious!

    Thank you for your video... I finally found your Macro calculator and realize why I have not lost any weight on Carnivore for the past four and half years... I did not find out about Macros because I thought it would be too hard to calculate. Now I realize I have been eating too much food so I will try harder. I guess I already knew this, but I thought if I gave up all grains, all sugars, all vegetables, all fruits, all dairy, all nuts and seeds, that I could eat as much as I felt hungry for of beef, lamb and Redman's salt... I still did not lose any weight, but it seems two steaks per day is twice as much as I need... One little steak per day is what I need if I want to lose the 56% body fat I have carried around for the past 40 plus years.

    I just made this and the word BEST does not do this recipe justice. It's beyond BEST! I can not believe how unbelievably smooth and creamy the texture is on this. ✨💖✨
    I don't have the same brand of protein powder that you used, but do have a plain, unflavoured beef protein powder from a Canadian supplier. I just added a bit of vanilla. It tastes like Old Fashioned Vanilla ice cream and WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY creamier than from the store (although I haven't had store bought ice cream for years so perhaps that too is creamy now LOL). 🤣
    Yummy. Delish. 😋 My ice cream maker is now likely to get a workout like it's never had before. 🍦🍨

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE respond to this question/comment: I found out recently that beef protein powder is made from a cow's carcass, meaning, after the butcher takes all the good meat, what is left over, the bones, tendons, ears, ligaments, hooves, tails, connective tissue, everything else all get ground down and boiled together as if you are making bone broth, then all the fat/carbs removed and you have a "liquid protein collagen" that makes up the protein powder. Is this correct? because it's not actual protein from the MEAT of the grassfed cow. It's an INCOMPLETE protein because it doesn't have all 9 essential amino acids. I have been consuming beef protein because I did not want the high spike of insulin that whey protein causes to take me out of ketosis, but I did not know that this is the way that beef protein is made, unless your brand prime protein uses actual beef?

  • @gordonmorrison7732
    @gordonmorrison7732 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I make this every week and it still is hard. You have to put it out before about minimum 30 minutes. The protein gives a slight bitter flavor, even sweetening doesn't help much. I would ear on the side of caution giving to my friends....I use a non protein version for my friends. The protein Equip has natural sweetener added which I believe is stevia. Because of the prohibitive price to order from Canada/exchange $$$$, I have to use unflavored/unsweetened Canadian Protein, beef Protein Isolate. There is a need to try to soften the harsh flavor of Stevia Glycerite by adding other sweeteners to offset the mouth feel of the Protein. The brown sugar allulose blend helps.

      @MariaEmmerich I found this brand called "Carnivor"... it's a beef protein powder... 2 scoops gives you 46 grams...
      I made it.... I kind of freestyled it and attempted for a double batch..... I put it in the freezer to firm.... I'll try some tonight

      Xylitol works also. You can also use pure sucralose and stevia. I have gi issues so I get it ! I absolutely cannot do allulose. I can only handle maybe a really tiny amount of xylitol but not super well. I definitely handle the Stevia and pyure sucralose not Splenda fyi.

    Pea protein, like all non-meat proteins, isn't a class A protein - it's lacking in many amino acids / has a poor amino acid profile. It digests / absorbs fine.

    Natural flavor?

    • @MariaEmmerich

      The natural flavors used by Equip are distilled vapors that result from processing the naturally occurring compounds in their products. They do not use artificial ingredients, junk, or chemicals in their products :)

    Sadly, any time any food says “natural flavors,” that’s code for chemicals. It’s how corporations get away with adding chemicals they don’t have to name in the food industry. And stuff they don’t want us to know about. Otherwise they would tell you instead of saying “natural flavors.” Anytime any food says that, I won’t buy it or eat it. Thank the food lobbyists and politicians for that…
