Claridges is a wonderful hotel. Loved the staff and the manager , Mr. jones at the time upgraded to a art deco suite over looking upper brook street. Love the gilded elevator and white gloved operator for all 5 floors with settee if needed ;) The Connaught is like a smaller sister to Claridges and even more exclusive. Berkeley too as someone has said , is lovely and a amazing pool w/ retractable roof. All used to be under “ the Savoy group “ of hotels including of course the Savoy.
Connaught and Berkeley Hotel both deserve place in too 10 especially after going through grand renovations. Maybourne Hotel Group has the best service in London to offer.

Not sure I agree with that list either, George. It looks like they were picked by someone who only likes the not-so-attractive modern yuppie style. Her English pronunciation is not so hot either.
I think the Savoy Hotel should definitely be on the list, it's a 100+ year old hotel and is nicknamed a british institution
