Another great video and although i feel I know London really well I always learn something. I love Chinatown but for the supermarkets rather than the restaurants; you find things in packets and tins you won’t find in your local supermarket. I am definitely going to have one of those dirty ice creams and maybe one of those triangle cakes. I’ve heard of Club Mexicana but never been so that is also on my list. Keep the videos coming.

As underrated museums, I know the Courtauld Gallery and the Jewish Museum in Camden, and I love them ! I'm French and the Courtauld Gallery is full of French art, it's like the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée de l'Orangerie but smaller ! The Jewish Museum, I've been there to see an exhibition about Amy Winehouse, it was very interesting and you learn lots of things about Jewish people in England !
There is also the Imperial War Museum : it's free like the British museum or the National Gallery but it's in the south of London, it's not full of tourists so it's a quiet area, and if you're interested in the 1st and the 2nd World Wars, it will be great !

Hi Jess. Great video covering a topic that prompted an experience that I encountered and that you maybe able to address in a future video and that is the move from cash to debit at almost every store/restaurant. I try to make it to London from Canada for my vacation annually and was there in Sept 2022. Prior to the event of 2020, I couldn't recall any issue using cash at any place. I was shocked on my return in 2022 the number of places that would not accept cash as payment - from High Street stores/restaurants/coffee shops/pubs to individually owned establishments ( street markets). From what I have viewed in videos from others on London, no one is talking about this or no one has picked up on this fact that cash is not being accepted. It gets pricey when you have to put a coffee onto a Visa because the shop isn't accepting cash for even the smallest purchases. This maybe something you want to give your viewers a heads up on and if you want ( maybe a video idea), provide some recommendations on getting a UK cash card either before you go or purchase one in the UK when you arrive. If you bought/loaded a card there, what cash card is most widely accepted by merchants ( think buying from a Borough Market stand)?
Yeah we cover that quite a lot across all of our social channels and content. Just get a card from your home country that doesn't have transaction charges. Canada will have plenty of options.

For my first ever visit last year, I purposely stayed in South Kensington to be right next to the V&A, The Science Museum, and the Natural History Museum.
There's at least 3 full days of totally free entertainment right there...

I remember one winter I wore bright color coats and jeans and visited Paris for 2 nights and saw everyone else wearing mostly dark clothes that match the cloudy rainy weather. I was so glad to wear my colors.

I am American and I am scheduled to fly to London next Thursday in the 16th but it seems like I will have to cancel the trip and not go because I’ve been told there is a national rail and underground strike on that day. I was going to rely upon taking a train from Gatwick Airport to central London but it appears there won’t be train service. I am really sad and disappointed. I guess I spent all that money on this trip for nothing. What a waste.
Pretty sure there's a National Express coach that's probably cheaper than going by rail anyway.
@@hughtube5154 I’m sure there is an option for a bus, but I don’t want to ride on a bus for two hours to get to my hotel in central London. I suppose I’m spoiled. I’d rather just cancel the holiday if the trains and underground won’t get me to where I need to go. My airfare is refundable.
I'm afraid I can't help you if you aren't willing to be flexible and take a bus!
Take Uber or a good old fashioned taxi. Or...move you flight up or move it to later. Don't let something like that cause you to quit your trip.
