I am enjoying this tutorial so much, I am a new quilter and appreciate all the tips and information to be able to make these blocks. Shelly you are a wonderful instructor. Thank you.
So thankful to find your YT Shelley! Watched this QAL with Pat Sloan and absolutely fell in love with your book! I’m determined to do this quilt!😜 Will go back to the beginning of your sew along and begin there! TYSM for sharing with us!💕🧵
I bought this book on a whim. But it is so beautiful and scrappy. I was a little disappointed as I thought it would include a history about each star, only to learn this is a recent thing people are painting on their barns. lol
As most quilt pattern books are limited to about 80 pages, we used all the available space to share fantastic quilt patterns. There are a number of very lovely books on the market detailing the history of barn quilts and the development of the barn quilt trails in the early 2000s. If you're looking for more history, we also suggest looking into the PA Dutch and barn hex signs that came to the United States in the 17th century. 😁
