CABINET HAS PROPOSED THE REPEAL OF HATE AND TRIBALISM LAWS

- President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says the Cabinet has proposed repealing some laws to strengthen punishment for those promoting hatred, tribalism, and division in the country.
President HICHILEMA says the proposed amendments will be tabled in the National Assembly once it resumes sessions.
He also says the Cabinet has resolved to include lessons on national unity in the school curricula to teach young people about the importance of national unity from an early age.
President HICHILEMA was speaking during a press conference at State House in Lusaka this afternoon.
