I like the KC and the Sunshine Band record. I keep on the lookout for this one. I have good roller skating memories. ⛸️
Happy birthday to Crystal Gayle! ❤

Roller skating was so popular the rink was always crowded. I think computers and video games may have ruined skating

Another solid Week In Vinyl History, Doug! The unexpected result of The Blues Brothers was how it led to a lot of people discovering Stax artists and other R&B tunes long forgotten by that time. 'South Bound Saurez' is actually one of my fav Zep tracks. Bowie, Donna Summer, and Louie Louie: no shortage of variety this week! I love that Big Band swing. 😎🎶

Deciding to do the background music has really helped me to dig into my “other” collection of big band, swing , jazz etc. I’m glad you and other are enjoying it as well

Big Donna Summer fan here. She works hard for the money. wow, January 1964 for Louie Louie....the Kingsmen must have been battling with the Beatles for the top spot. I hadn't heard of Boyd Raeburn before but he sounds good. Rock on Doug!

The Blues Brothers were indeed huge and really fun to see them perform on Saturday Night Live. I wonder if Mick Jagger was thinking the song was about him when he was singing backup. I even like Hotdog on that Zeppelin album. I really need to have some Babys in the collection. I always like seeing Jerry Lee Lewis. Great week.

I think Carly should have kept it a secret. The Blues Brothers movie was good too. Thanks for commenting!
