A very Honda biased review. The reviewer very conveniently completely ignored Jawa's Liquid cooling, a 6th gear and a much better power to weight ratio. Even though I am a huge Honda fan and would pick the RS over the 42.1, the reviewer shouldn't omit important specs.
But rs have more top speed 😛 150 kmph

I like Japanese bikes due to their refinement. I was looking for ninja 300 but service cost is on higher side, Yamaha mt03 has not been launched. So I will prefer cb350rs for refinement

The performance figures of RE 350 aren't that good compared to Jawa.... unless they plan to improve the engine... it's Jawa for me.

Jawa 42 also a good option but I'm well built 6 feet tall and 105 kg giant man and jawa doesn't look good on me.
How the bike looks under you should not be a big deal but the ergonomics on that bike are definitely not for tall people. It would be very uncomfortable for you.

I think it's the best looking bike in the segment , I took a test drive didn't feel uncomfortable as far as sitting is concerned. Though I also wonder how it would look to 2nd person when I drive it.

Verdict
At the time of this test, the CB350RS was about Rs 14,000 dearer than the Jawa 42 2.1, but it still makes the Honda more value for money when you consider the better safety features, the hybrid instrumentation and the LED lighting. Then there are the added niceties like Honda's reliable engineering and low cost of ownership. The Jawa 42 2.1 is a good step up from the original, but in the company of competition that is bringing new-age features to the modern retro segment, it does leave you wanting for a bit more. That said, I would choose the Jawa over the RS if I wanted a good looking classic with the go and eagerness of a modern motorcycle. But at the end of the day, it is the overall package that matters and as the points add up, the CB350RS is the clear winner of this test.

Yeah , providing a tall gearing system to reduce rpm at all speeds so as not to strain the engine thus making less vibrations. We have to rev it up to extract torque from that motor and should be at lower gear at slower speeds due to less torque availability at lower rpms. Thats not everyones cup of tea.
Meteor is more tractable at lower speeds in each gear and have better torque availability.
Meteor was tried and tested in India since 2018 unlike Honda which tested it in Japan. Atlast Royal Enfield is Indian❤️
@@niriap9780 I own a CB350RS and believe me, the feel and performance against a meteor is way better on road. I do 60 KM per day on highway and city, CB350RS still puts a smile on my face with it's design and highway performance. I have always ridden naked sports and just wanted a cruiser with looks and HONDA did it for me. The comfort and looks are way better than METEOR.

Ok bro good..but it was the quite opposite for me. I have ridden both for more than 3 day trips. Meteor felt more peppy,very good suspension setup,more comfortable rider position, better pillion comfort(it's was a MUST for me), better for knee joint and low back due to the curved seating,better rideability in traffic due to more torque at low speeds,way better Bluetooth GPS synced with google,better driving in hilly roads etc..there are tons of pros for meteor,,, .no need to rev it hard to gain torque.

Suggestion to new buyers before giving your hard earned money as profit to japanese. Avoid capital drain from our economy.
You may consider a JAWA.JAWAs are also a beautiful machine and I love riding a Jawa for its high revving nature , eye candy looks , ride feel and many more pros.. aa true sporty retro for the ones who prefers revving nature 👍 All these bikes are available for rent,before a buy pls ride both for atleast 1 day in all road situations. Then you may decide...

Long stroke engines like RE and honda doesn't require liquid cooling... jawa is a high revving engine so liquid cooling is must..

According to me, long stroke engines need liquid cooling system more because piston travel distance is more and so heating as well as wear and tear chances is more than in short stroke or square stroke engines. So Mr. Manoj Mekala is exactly right and jawa exactly has an upper hand on comparison.

Which one has better engine heat management? I plan to buy either of the bike based in this… my ride would be 70-80% in city and 20-30% on open highways. I am looking for good comfortable ride from seating perspective as well.

I myself am a H'ness owner and my friend has Meteor, after riding 1k km I think though most things are good for honda, however there are three big complaints regarding Honda; 1) Gearing is so tall that riding in traffic needs frequent downshift, Meteor is way better in this 2) As a 5'6'' person Meteor has much better sitting comfort than this, my hands pain after riding H'ness for 2 hrs straight. 3)Color scheme is very limited.
Never rode Jawa, so can't comment but some may find this useful

Dude i just wanna clear your doubt first test ride 5 gear engineering honda machine and then speak about the shit of 6 gears. Let me tell uh, 5th gear of cb350 Rs feel like more relaxed than jawa 6th gear. And u didn't even feel that much heat of engine even in traffic also for concern regarding liquid cooling technology. First increase some basic knowledge abt automobile mechanism dude. 👍 U guys are simply underestimating honda only bcz of liquid cool and lack of 6th gear.
These features is may be very new for u to decide to buy jawa over 350Rs only bcz of these features. But let me tell uh honda introduce these technology on 150cc cbr atleast 10 to 12 years ago. Final verdict is honda cb350Rs is an ultimate machine to own 🔥.

This is a bizarre review. You call the Honda's handling skiddish across corners and then give it a 9 on handling over the Jawa? The Honda is a far better bike in most aspects, but credit where it's due please, the jawa handles far better.
The braking numbers were a real surprise btw. I rode both bikes and thought the honda was far more confidence inspiring. Surprised to learn the jawa stops quicker.
Ps: I've booked the Jawa. Here's to hoping I don't kick myself in 2021.

Bro I'm jawa owner. Jawa is smoother and more peppy bike especially after 3000 km. Jawa is little bit stiffer and mainly it is more comfortable for physically fit persons
@@AswinrajaRavikumar I own Highness. It is the best in class. Be it the build quality, materials used, features, technology, comfort Highness at its best. Low end and midrange this bike gives you the best.It can easily do 130. Mileage is 37 kmph First service due. Engine refinement and the throaty exhaust note is music to wars. Nowadays RE’s cant come closer to Highness stock exhaust. Overall its a good package and VFM.

I'm in the market for a Motorcycle and I prefer traditional simplistic looks than modern design. I test rode both jawa and cbRs back to back and honestly the Honda is typical Honda. Great Machine but Just a machine. It lacked character big time.

True. I took highness for a day rent, rode 150kms, it doesn't have character definitely. It lacks power in 5th gear. Dead fifth gear is a must no for touring. I booked on the day of launch to buy by selling my CBR 250 but going today to get my deposit amount back 😂
Pls don't speak the truth,some Japanese lovers will bash you if you speak truth about CB 350. Why will anyone consider CB :
1) if we want to shift gears frequently to keep it at high revs ?
2) if 5th gear is a waste(marketing gimmick)?
Cb also has slight vibrations at above 100 speeds.
Cb has got loose petrol tank cover,freeplay in seat... Bodyparts becoming lose after 2 months...(but I have to say this - tank has got some freeplay but not causing any extra vibrations)
