    Thanks, great video! Did this on my Camaro this morning. Under 40 minutes from the time I decided to start until everything was cleaned up & put away. My iPhone X charged with & without the case.

      Awesome! Glad the video helped. I'll be getting one of the new iPhones next month, so looking forward to being able to charge wirelessly.

    Thank you for posting this! Installed mine with ease and took 45 mins. The console was a nightmare to get back down without ripping leather back seats… only bad part…. Everything else was great.

    I can’t thank you enough for this. 45 minutes start to finish. The only slight hiccup was getting the console back into place, but as you recommended, going slow did the trick. Thank you so much!

    Awesome vid. Made the process very simple. Took about 35 min just because I was running out of good daylight. Got my unit on sale for $60+shipping. Search, deals are out there.

    Just did this in my 2016 2SS convertible and it was much quicker and easier than I was expecting. Start to finish took less than 30 minutes. I put the top down and stood up the the back, one leg on each side of the arm rest, to pull it up and push it back into place. Works great with my iPhone XS with Otterbox case. I highly recommend this inexpensive upgrade to anyone with one of the original 6th Gen wireless charging pads.

    Hey thanks for the video. This is really easy after watching your video. Mentioning the socket size and torx size saves lots of time too so you can just grab what you need.

    Very cool! I would slide a towel or cloth in between the seat and console so it doesn't scratch anything. Looks like you did it the hard way.

    the rear seat pops out no tools. might make it easier. 1. Take off the back seat top, I let the seat down to like a 45 degree angle and pulled one side up, then you can take the other side off. If you open the seat top up, you can see the hinges are open on top.
    2. Then I lifted the back seat bottom from the back, I did not have to pull hard and it came right off.

    What if it is partially working? If I plug in a tire inflator, it won't work. If I plug in a phone charger, it works.

    i want to remove this useless pad and replace it with the storage, is it possible?

    • @ringnjc
      @ringnjc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure, you need a console from a non 2SS or an LT car.

      I am doing the same. I'd rather have the storage space than some awkward and low power pad that doesn't even fit the length of any phone made in 2017+

      @@MMonster-x5h heads up, the storage box actually doesn't fit the length of a normal phone either

    I'm assuming this is for manual center console correct? I don't see myself being able to lift the console on the automatic this easily without removing the shift knob

      Hey just wanna tell you that I had the same problem with my 6 Gen automatic ☝🏼 But I solved it ..see my comment above 😎

    Can you install this on a 2017 Camaro that wasn’t equipped with a wireless charger to begin with?

    • @ringnjc
      @ringnjc  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From what I’ve read you need more than just the charging unit. You need the harness and some adapter for the back of the radio, as well as a new center console. I’d recommend just getting a charging pad you can plug into one of the USB ports.

    I have a 2017 Camaro SS2, I just bought a new Iphone10xs with the expectation that I could charge it in my care with the wireless charger. My phone will not fit and I can't seem to get it to charge. my concern, is that even if I make this equipment update, will it charge my phone? Can you help?

    • @talios9751
      @talios9751 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Per notes release if the phone does not fit the dimensions or in case of phone protection equipment i.e. hard cases etc, then the phones may not charge.

      I have an iPhone Xs Max and a very thin flexible case. If I rest the top end(camera) part of the phone toward the passenger side it does charge and typically stays in place with leisurely driving but a thicker case and it won’t work. It was designed for phones the size of the regular iPhone X or 8. I heard the new 2019 Chevy Blazers charging pad will fit the plus size phones.

    So a galaxy S9+ is considered a older Android phone? It works with current Android phones. Might want to avoid spreading misinformation.

    • @ringnjc
      @ringnjc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Chris, I updated it to say “most” Android phones.

    Does this work for the note9?

    • @jeffr.6375
      @jeffr.6375 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It should charge your note 9, but It won’t fit on the pad is my guess. My iPhone Xs Max will slide off sometimes if I corner hard. It was designed for Galaxy 7 and iPhone 6 sized phones. Not the big boys.

    This didn't work for me, anyhow I haven't been able to lift the console on the 6 Gen automatic. But I found another solution: I removed the bottom part of the back seat (th-cam.com/video/l1RvKM6y5zY/w-d-xo.html) then I was able to just pull out the console part with the Qi module 👍🏻😎 Now everything is fine and I can easily charge my new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G 🕺🏻🙌🏼
