This is honestly absurd. It costs them 66¢, they sell them for $8 and they're still claiming "thin margins" Your margins aren't thin, your gray matter is.
That’s the cost for direct to consumer, the main problem is the vast majority (seems to be about 90%) of their sales is through mass retail and that’s probably where the thin margin is
@@nickxavier828 Right but it doesn't change the fact that Barbara found an absurd excuse to say I'm out. Who not just say the 3 mil then line of credit they'll never recover from?
One of the greatest Shark Tank clips of all time. The Kevin vs Mark battle was intense, two heavyweight sharks going at it. Both of them gave a masterclass on respectfully debating to sell their ideas and strategies. Bravo.
Actually I looked it up, it doesn't say Mark pulled out. It says the deal didn't close. I think maybe they pulled out, they didn't want to go on the show in the first place. Each side can pull out after. Actually smart, get the advetisment. Make it look like Cuban is involved then pull out.
Then why doesn't he just do money for equity. Because he knows they will sell those boxes. He will make his money but the company can still fail. Never do those deals.
Kevin's vision for the business was better. They should have countered by offering something like 38 cents until he recoups 2x his investment, then dropping to 20 cents. I think they could have got his number down a bit with a little back and forth. Kevin's existing product portfolio and sales infrastructure that would have fit well with their products. A deal with him would have been the way to go.
That was a ridiculously good offer, but these guys are burning money. 66 cents a box, $8 retail, but they're 4 million dollars in debt. The surprise is that they're scamming investors

Kevin’s deal was actually good
Safe for him.
like , REALLY good... the only question is, could HE provide enough value for them
It's roughly a 5% royalty since they sell for $8 per box. I think Mark's deal was better since they were already in debt.
@@gregheffley2And you can see the distaste in the one guy's face with the deal at the end of the video. This is why the deal with Mark never closed.
@@gregheffley2 Kevin is also giving them 640K which could help towards the debt and taking no equity, Mark is taking 25%
Underrated pitch. Guy worked on the onion lmao
While Mark definitely was the better shark to grow their business, Kevin's deal was actually real generous for his standards
Mark got the idea in a flash 💡 Lori still waiting for her Pet Sweep 😂

Great comment!
Indeed!

According to shark tank recap, this deal actually fell through. Business still exists with estimated sales of 6 mil per year
I hate that, they should be able to go back to Kevin if they want.

@@mrhumble2937why didn’t they want to go on ?
@@vl1180 Mark didn't want to go on because they pants him during a prank.
Such an obvious company idea. Sorry.
I used this to for Christmas last year and my family thought it was hilarious
Yes doing it one time might be fun but after 2 or 3 times it ain't anymore.
So for the long terme it's not a good product
How did we know Barbara and damon were out even before a single word was spoken
With so much margin, Kevin’s deal sounded the best. And Kevin was right, the would need to sell a lot of boxes just for him to get his money back.
Then why doesn't he just do money for equity. Because he knows they will sell those boxes. He will make his money but the company can still fail. Never do those deals.
They do a lot of retail and margins get smaller when its not direct to consumer
I'm addicted to Shark Tank.
I m addicted more
It's too bad the deal with Mark never closed. But they are still in business.
This looks like a product that would be in Spencer's

Kevin's deal was the best since they wouldn't give up on equity/ownership
38 cents a box doesn't seem bad should of went with kevin.
That cuts too much into their revenue.
Nah you want a partner with equity.

These guys are actually really cool. They got Triple S Gaming to make a "How to Play" video for "Hay in the Needle Stack!"
Kevin had great deal with that margin they had.. would've thought he'd asked for way more.
The Onion had some hart hitting articles like "Area cat likes it doggy style" . "Scientist builds galaxy's best ever times infinity hyperbole machine". Or something like that.
Now they own Alex Jones' "Info Wars"... lol.
It was worth it for 38 cents. They already have a profits of $7+ so 38 is nothing.
*BARBARA* - I forgot to bring my checkbook and for that reason *I'm OUT*
Barbara: I can't take 5 seconds to figure out your actual valuation, so I'm out.
She actually was low balling them, the valuation was $8 million which is actually worse than she thought.
Why are people always screaming in the US version ?
US people are LOUD for no reason.
THE DAMM PRINK BOX IS USLESS

@@SeeYouInTea. Yeah
stop making these jokes its not funny
Can't someone copy this easily? Marks crazy for wanting a deal. Kevin's makes more sense.
Taking Marks was way better.
That's why Mr Wonderful wanted no equity, nobody would buy a company that can be replaced by 3 comedian consultants and a designer from India.
@whatsadog2445 yea which is shocking Mark wanted a deal.
kevins deal was good
I purposely look for videos thatcompy that the business is a Joke because that means that it Mr Wonderful would blow up
They choose the right partner.
Kevin was the best partner
I would have gone with Kevin on this one.
Garret Forest
Literally anyone could do this.
Yes but do they have the time to design it, make the box and actually sell it? No
Darien Prairie
in the first minute I understand why they are not showing Mr Wonderful's face, it because he is probraly muttering some bad words
Chicken sandwich with fries
