Im from Malaysia. I very like too see you reviewing the new hypermotard from ducati. This is the best reviewing video and i watch it over and over again. Thanks
I have a Ducati 1100 and O BOY I love this bike it’s like ever time I ride it I always leave amazed of the amount of torque it had its raw it has no rider aids what so ever u have to be a seasoned rider to ride it but OMG it feels good I can’t explain how good it is
The 1100... my bike, I keep it like a jewel and i use it almost every day. A motorcycle that definitely puts a smile on your face every time you use it
I have it as my primary bike and it’s amazing! Especially in my city Amsterdam . Narrow streets and corners. But also long trips to Germany or France. It’s a great bike.
The original Hyper was a game changer. I like how refined it is now, but I feel like it does kind of miss it's original rough edges attraction. Nice honest video guys 👍
I appreciate the slower meticulous delivery of information for sure so many review usually throw a ton of information at you in 30 seconds followed by an, "Ok, lets go ride."
@@Snotroggel453 apparently much more reliable than previous models, mine has gone back for some warranty work but only the starter switch needed replacing
Thanks Marty - I too am somewhat verticallly challenged and this was in the back of my mind when I threw my leg over over a Hypermotard 950 this morning, but your whole video discussion of this epic bike has served to reassure me. Thanks buddy 👌
Super helpful video. I think I just settled on the base hyper as my street and track day bike. I am about the same height as you an you sitting on bikes and talking techniques and fit is extremely helpful.
Great video. I agree with your summary and your accuracy. I'm 5'7 and have a Hyper SP as my second ride for getting to work. I have got the optional lower seat and ground reach isn't a problem. Hypermotards are awesome and I have a laugh every day on the way to work. Thanks for another great video Marty!!
Did the lower seat help a lot? I am looking into the normal or RVE 950 (or 821) and I am afraid about the seat height. I am 5'9"-5'10". All the 950 were sold out around me so I didn't have a chance to try them.
@@dannulik G'Day Daniel, The lower seat height helped heaps. I sat on a Hyper with a normal seat height and as much as I wanted the bike, it was too tall. A that point, I would not have bought the bike. I sat on the same bike with the lower seat fitted and it made a world of difference and I bought the bike. So glad I did.... Hope this helps... Thank u for this video it has to be the best and most comprehensive review and explanation if the model. The fact u also detailed ur 30” seam to demonstrate ease of getting on & seating position was extremely helpful (I’m vertically challenged too and unable to find a bike to try out within 2 hrs of where I live). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of my friend has an SP and my good GOD! This bike is a beast :)! Me personally love the KTM Superduke 1290RR, but this is up there with it as well :)! Beautiful BIKES.
Thank you Marty for sharing the kiss the mirror method. I have the multistrada and never really new the proper mounting technique. It works well. Thanks again
Perfect comparison! I want an SP for the fork, and a RVE for the black main frame😊 I would want to remove all red and replace with Forged Carbon parts ❤
i had test ride the 950 sp and it didn't disappoint but it was so tall i couldn't even get the kick stand out lol im a bit worried if the lowered seat will help. Taking off was always on my tip toes
Extremely helpful video with everything I wanted to know, thanks very much for taking the time to make it. It's much appreciated. If I was local I know where I would be buying my bike from.
I'm 39. Raced hare scramble between 8-16. I haven't riden since then due to a wreck in my front yard that retired me from bikes... not my choice. Life took over, cars... kids... house... I've been wanting a street bike, but hate the weight of cruisers, and seating positions of sport bikes. At 5'5 125lbs, it's hard to find anything. I raced an old xr250r, so I was use to high seats. I feel like this bike would feel familiar to me. I just miss riding. I was very good back then. But I have no clue if I still know how.
really nice bikes.......would grab an SP model but actually like the livery of base model.....like the all red and even the side plates on the pipe if possible.....would be a second bike.....this or the husky 701......new to street bikes but raced MX, GP, dez......so these feel right at home
One 950 RVE has arrived in Australia (the other 14 of 15 total should arrive in January) and the lucky 1st owner says that there is no numbered inspection plate. That sucks! I've asked my dealer to ask Ducati Australia to supply them. Hopefully Ducati will do the right thing and supply them.
@@newtrap5366 That's good to know. There is hope yet that we will get badges then. The dealer called me today to say my RVE is only a few days away. Yee haa!

What will happen if I keep wheelie control at level 4 example, I think bike will do wheelie and will go up till certain inclination and not above that even if give more throttle?
Hey Marty, I am thinking about buying a used hypermotard. I'm looking at a 2008 1100s. It has 27000 miles. I know that these are air cooled vs. The newer liquid cooled. Is there a year that you would stay away from? Howmany miles is a bike like this good for? I guess overall would you recommend a 2008 bike for a newer rider? Not wanting to make a financial commitment of 18k just yet before I really know how I like it. Any input would be great. Thanks.
