  • In this video, I show you and tell you how to remove a stuck nozzle from a garden hose. Many people put a spray nozzle on their garden hose and can't get it off so they simply keep on using it. But the truth of the matter is that you can probably remove the spray nozzle with the help of some tools that you probably have in your garage. All that you need is two pairs of pliers and some elbow grease to get the nozzle off. I show you exactly how to do it throughout the video and go over an easy set of instructions to follow.

    My husband could not remove it with one plier. I saw your video and it worked using the two pliers. Thank you for sharing.

    Thanks a million!!!! It worked!!! I had tried that before googling but I didn’t realize that channel locks are adjustable! Haha. Learned something new. I had to adjust the channel locks a few times but then it came right off.
    Thanks again for making my day a whole lot easier! 🙌😊
    Have a great day!

    Thank you! Great explanation and simple, clear instructions. The spray nozzle grip had broken apart on the garden hose. I couldn't remove it using one pair of channel pliers. Using your steps I was able to remove it and install the replacement nozzle.

    The metal collar of the hose is twisting and loose inside the metal head of the hose, so I can't get any traction.

    Nope! Tried hot water, WD 40, all sorts of pliers. Still stuck. Video looks to be brass on brass fitting. Nozzle is aluminum. Probably oxidized. Any other suggestions?

    It worked! First tried WD40, then channel lock and pliers. Nope. More WD40, then half a pot of hot water, then half a pot of ice water. Still took a bit of struggle but it came off! Thanks!!

      Hose company suggested CLR to me. Did that work?
      His plier method CRACKED my nozzle.
      I tried WD/40 and Silicon Spray but still no help.

    Anyone know what will LOOSEN the nozzle? I tried WD/40 and Silicon Spray but no help.
    FYI- In the future, use Plumbers Tape. That tip from Apex Hose company.

    I'm hear to tell you that this doesn't always work. I have a spray nozzle that refuses to budge. Applied WD40, used the wrenches ... nothing. It's almost like the two are now fused together. And the nozzle was only on for a few months.

  • @otterlymarye
    @otterlymarye ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Welp. After a little cussing and a few prayers to the garden gnomes, i got that nozzle off. I can NOT believe how tight it had gottrn after only around 6 weeks max on the hose. For me this technique worked, and I'm now the proud owner of a functioning sprinkler for the garden.

    Aren't you turning the nozzle clockwise?

    • @KirkKohler
      @KirkKohler 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I know, looks clockwise but is counter. Right tight. Left loose. It depends if you are looking into the hose. It's counter clockwise. If you are looking from the side and hose is facing away. It would look clockwise. It confused me too.

  • @user-uj6yo4hd3c
    @user-uj6yo4hd3c ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks, but you could add an example of when someone put the nozzle on “crooked” -if that makes sense. But I’m sure your explanation will do the trick.

    My shit is SUPER stuck! I was already using the same method demonstrated on this video before watching it, and no amount of lube, sweat, profanities or ball strength worked.
    (They said lift with your legs. Not your back, but what they don't tell you is the purest form of man strength comes from your balls!) 😄 and I put all of my balls into trying to remove this piece of shit!
    😒💨 Fml! The only thing I've accomplished is twisting to the point the metal gives and rounds.
    I think I'm going to try letting it sit in a bucket with warm water and CLR. If that doesn't work. I guess I have no choice other than to cut the end of my hose off and replace the fitting. Which is pretty cheap like 5 or 6 dollars maybe 10 max.
    Good video tho.

  • @markbergen3125

    You squeeze pressure on the nozzle where the threads of the hose are your tightening the grip, ahhh common sense
