    Why doesn't Souness apologize to him? In September he insulted him, said he was inexperienced and worthless. But De Zerbi closed his mouth by beating Liverpool twice, a team Souness loves. Souness, start being a man, in Italy they welcomed you with love and admiration, you spat on an Italian worker in England, shame on you!!!

    Thank you so much! This analysis is great! Generally speaking, the player in shadow won't be marked. So use a "link" to pass the ball to the free player - who stays in the shadow.

      Another important detail is the direction of the shoulder for the pivots (the players stay in shadow). They should be towards the gate so that pivots can organize attacks and make penetration pass instead of pass backward.

    One mistake and disaster is in De Zerbi's method
    Through an old follow-up to the teams that De zerbi coached, the method was very effective with the teams that pressed, but the teams that retreated and practiced rebounds, De zerbi suffered with them ... Also, the teams coached by De zerbi rarely score from corner kicks despite their abundance, as well as set pieces

  • @radityo901

    What happens if opposition striker advances/man marks one of the centre backs, ie stands next to him when BHA are in possession?

    • @M-10Football
      @M-10Football  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In the 1st phase of the build-up De Zerbi always try to have a numerical advantage so the idea is to find a free player...he sometimes uses the GK to achieve this or his #10 or #9 drop into the half spaces to assist with the buildup...it all depends on the number of players the opposition commits to the press.

    • @MunsterIrons
      @MunsterIrons ปีที่แล้ว

      @@M-10Football but If it stops the square passing between CBs, as 1 CB is permanently marked, would that limit the space they have to operate to be the side of the pitch that the other CB has possession

    • @M-10Football
      @M-10Football  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Tony Ryan not necessarily...remember it is a numbers game....so most teams try to have overload at the back which means with Brighton having 3 forward the opponent would have 4...this would leave the opponent with 6 players to press vs Brighton's 7+GK. So in the build-up, Brighton always has a FREE player and this is who they try to find by any means. Notice when teams press them man to man they at times play long balls in the space behind for Mitoma and March.

    • @MunsterIrons
      @MunsterIrons ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d like to try man marking Dunk, then he’s out of the game. And/or playing a striker on the offside line between the 2 central defenders and press them from behind.

    • @M-10Football

      He does try to play his smooth, slick passing game to create chances but based on what I've known of his teams, this kind of setup is where they normally have trouble. His teams are normally outdone on counterattack and if you watch closely you'll realize the team give up opportunities in that way every game.

      @theophilus1077 The problem was the physicality of Everton. Brighton have so many small players on the front line it's hard to cope with evertons "big men". Everton are probably the worst match up for brighton in the prem

    • @M-10Football
      @M-10Football  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As I said before, I’m transition his teams are always going to be exposed so if you look closely into the Everton game you’ll recognize that the right side was exploited. If you notice he has used Caicedo at RB and Gross in midfield and that’s because Gross is slow in physical speed.

    High pressure from midfielders will stop his tactics immediately.
    Nonetheless I love his style

    • @TheMarkOfN
      @TheMarkOfN ปีที่แล้ว +2

      His CBs and Pivots are really narrow, he uses his front two as outlets by checking into the space between the wingers and pivots. Look at 2:37 if the opponents midfielders press the pivots the passing lane to the 10 and 9 are open. The full backs and wingers hugging the sideline creates the space for the 10 and 9 to check in.

    • @filipdepover1082
      @filipdepover1082 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the midfielders of the opponent put high pressure on the two pivots, there will be a lot of free space for the 2 CAM's (10's). The CB's can simply skip the 2nd line of pressure by a longer ball on one of the two 10's.
      So his tactics definitely won't be easily stopped by high pressure.
