Absolutely loving this blaster and have been checking for it whenever I can. This is how we do. This, the EZ Fire, the Longshot, the other parties are killing it.
Just bought a Thunderbolt for LUDICROUSLY cheap, and I love it!! Really liking what DZ has been putting out lately. Really starting to amass a decent arsenal!
Although flush head darts may give more to grip and actually does have a slight FPS increase over the narrow head bamboos or worker style darts, in my testing traditional waffle head darts do not travel as far and dont fly as straight as narrow head darts. The only advantage of waffles is inititial FPS but it's pretty much nullified when it wont go as far or fly as accurate as a narrow head dart.
Just unboxed mine today! I only have stock flywheelers and only using the most garbage 1.25$ for 8 batteries. I am thinking of trying to call it the famine test. Can the blaster do well with cells probably in the lowest possible voltage level. Some eletronics reeeaaally show their distorted behavior at low charge or voltage! This blaster is awesome!!!!! And that magazine is so exquisite for the price.
I'm surprised, I did sorta expect a Spectrum re-shell if I'm honest, even with how good Dart Zone usually is. But the fact it seems to have 10-15 FPS on the Spectrum on top of a nicer look (to me) is awesome. I bet it'd be a pretty straightforward mod to allow for half-darts, making this a really solid flywheeler option.
I second that!! I haven't heard to many other Tubers talking about everyone is SOOOO hung up on short darts!! I love em too, but there is definitely a place for long darts!!!
It's beautiful! We have been toying with adding flywheel blasters to the battlegrounds! We were debating between the spectrum or the mk3 (since they are on sale. and then comes the Thunderbolt!
Well the thing with MK3 is that it has a connector for a LiPo battery straight from the box and it shoots at 150ish on the 6 AA batteries. They have their own uses so just buy all of then lol. The thing with MK3 it can use both short and long darts without any modification. If you're looking for versatility while on sale, it's definitely MK3 despite having a few issues like full auto mode is a lot slower than spamming your trigger on semi.
Cant wait to grab one or two. "Sadly" im selling most all my Nerf (only keeping ones with sentimental value) to change over to DZ, Xshot and possibly new Buzzbee
Another good product. 110 fps on better batteries is rather good. A little bit of rewiring for 3s or equivalent nimh pack and a flywheel swap, and I'd put my money on 140fps for practically no work.
Collegiate HvZ players rejoice. This is the best off the shelf blaster to get new people into the game and hobby. Dart Zone continues to be a leader in accessible, fun, and functional blasters.
i have a weird problem with dartzone... i started the nerf thing less than a year ago and thrifted up a whole load of nerf blasters, so now i have like this wall of them kinda like you do. I feel my first dart zone is just going to obsolete all of what i have and I'll end up really liking it so the whole stock of nerfs will be sub par XD.. also I shoot them around in a small room filled with action figures and art pieces I've done... i have nerf ultra and have fired them in here but you know how ultra is... i'm thinking 100+ fps in this room would take out my nenderoid army and a few others might even take the head off my hulk statue XD
The mini range earns its name from being a fairly short distance about 14-15ft. The shots were completely flat. I’m in the process of dedicating part of the house to build a 25ft range for even more data. I can confirm this blaster shoots pretty flat even up to 20-30ft before the dart begins to slowly drop.
I wonder why the Thunderbolt disappeared so quickly. One week it was there and the next week it was gone. It looked cool as hell and was such a solid offering for a full length fly wheel semi. Bummer.
Personally, I think Dart Zone will eventually convert it to Nitroshot as well. I actually mentioned this in more detail in my latest video, so feel free to check it out if you're curious about my thoughts on it: th-cam.com/video/RA5t5JWQb1o/w-d-xo.html
Had to say im impressed that the dart zone thunderbolt is really a great improvement to the spectrum, glad dart zone made a *REAL* successor to its successor.... ....oh and you forgot to mention that this blaster is n-strike compatible with stocks
This blaster is worth the money even if you buy it for the accessories and throw away the actual blaster. If you wanted all those accessories aftermarket, an N Strike stock to buffer tube adapter is $20, a stock is $15, the magazine is another $20, some sights would be another $10. So you're looking at ~$60 worth of accessories on a blaster that's on the shelf for $25.
Except for the fact that the blaster itself, is actually amazing! I keep saying it, but it’s probably my favorite full length dart blaster of 2023. You make some great points as well! 🔥💥🔫
@@d0mlyf322 negative. (At least in my experience). I’ll probably do a short on the FPS difference at some point. The MK3 is a horsepower BEAST. It will shred any dart before the darts do any damage the other way. Especially waffles where the head is soft and easily compressible.
@@notnuffnerf Well I can’t say Iv tested it for myself so you probably know better than me but Iv just been told multiple times to be careful putting waffles through high crush even from a vendor. It was about a different high crush cage not the mk3 though so idk. I just don’t wanna ruin my stuff so I try and be careful.
I play both. IMO there is a place and time for all types of games like I’ve said before (Not that an average 8yr old can prime a Nexus pro anyway). Lol
Harmonics is s thing. I work around high voltages and they teach you to stop and listen before you enter the yard. You can tell a bad Tx as easy as you can a crappier hobby motor lol. Spectrum sounded like it had the flu compared to that 'bolt.

I love how you put a little piece of history into every video. Thanks for all you do for the community!
Another cool Dartzone blaster been reviewed.
the spectrum was the first blaster i modded with worker internals and 3d printed parts.
Absolutely loving this blaster and have been checking for it whenever I can. This is how we do. This, the EZ Fire, the Longshot, the other parties are killing it.
I like that you compared it to the Spectrum, I didn't know it was shooting 10-20 FPS more with the same 6AA, that's innovation!
Really enjoyed the History Lesson !
And I had No idea those Energizer Lithiums could improve performance like that, thanks so much NNN !
Brooooooo the music was SICK!!! Shazamed that like crazy. The dart gun is money too lol
Podcast pls would love that great vid

Wow this thing is an amazing stock blaster. Can't wait to get mine out of the box. Dart Zone is killing it.
Dart Zone is a real service to the community, and I love them for it.
This was a great review. Thanks for the detailed background info on how Dart Zone surpassed the venerable Nerf Stryfe.

Whats the red blaster you use in your intro video?
Custom modified Elite 2.0 Turbine
That's a really cool blaster bro 😮 stay blasting foam fam
just got this recently, the magazine looks epic with the purple camo nexus pro
Oh man I bet that looks epic!!!

Oh easily!
Just picked this up at target on clearance for 17$ and it smokes my nerf Moto blitz. Just got into the hobby
Cool video. :)
Swap the stock with the DZP 1.2 😊. The folding feature doesn't matter on a flywheel.
It probably looks great!
I dunno. If the green was the "Dart Zone Max Red" instead, I'd be sold.
i just got it ysterday😭😭😭🔥🔥🔥
I supercharged mine with energizer rechargeables and it sounded like a Lambo and engine, left welts on my friends and put a dent in my dry wall 😮

How far away is your target?
Welcome bro! There’s like 8 in my area that I check often to keep you guys informed of all the deals!
I mean the distance from your shooting location to the target. 😂

Hey Not-Nuff....Awesome Vid....can't wait to snag one of these Beauties for myself....love everything about this BLASTER !!! 💥💥💥🔫🤠
Want to crack it open and see what makes it tick? Higher crush or thicker gauge wire? Flywheels sound more balanced.
Cool blaster!
✌🏽✌🏽Is the Thunderbolt Compatible w/ the Grey DZ Pro Mags or Regular NERF Mags?
Just tested it. Works fine bro!
@@notnuffnerf You're a G My Dude Thank you 🙌🙏👊!!!!!!! Gonna catch that Target Sale Real Quick 😺🤙!!!!!!!
@waaaksun yeah man this is my favorite non-pro flywheeler this year 🔥
My only problem with it is that they should have gone with half length instead
No worries....the half-length one is coming !!! 👍👍👍
This for 30 or force spectrum 20 bucks
damn I love the that shape a lot more than the Mk3. Wish it shot short darts
I think the Omnia will satisfy that itch. Reviewing that one soon I’m just buried in r review blasters and video editing right now 😅
The wider heads can burn out higher crush motors all I use is darts with recessed heads
Agreed, but that’s in specific situations. These stock blasters work fine with flush heads.
@@notnuffnerf right but the mk3 has a decent crush, not the highest but not bad. So it would perform better with the recessed darts

Is it compatible with nerf mags?
100%
I prefer the spectrum.
Have y’all heard of Dart Warz?
It sounds like a MK III. That's not a bad thing. DZ just so much better then Hasbro at the moment.
The fact that it was 24$ or 25& 😂
Play competitive and you will see why higher fps is better
