Paano ba maging politically correct about it ? Should I have said “the cases here in the ph are rising but I trust our govt will be able to curb it soon.”?

So paano yun kung "pageant lang?" Ano ang isasagot nila when asked about anything political -- "kung pageant, pageant lang dapat?" Gets?
