How amazing that you put together your own course! In the “about me” video, it sounds like the course will teach you a multitude of different ways to get well, but the individual lessons sound like they are solely about brain retraining. Can you please clarify what the course is about? Thank you so much! ❤
Raelan and Ben, I think ya'll are fantastic and I'd love to see more collaboration from you guys. You have a back and forth that is very helpful for understanding. I am fully healed in my nervous system after 2 years of integrated nervous system, somatic and brain retraining work, but I often tell people that I am 100 percent healed but also 100 percent human. The food I ate yesterday isn't going to sustain me tomorrow so some things we have to keep putting on our plates. I find getting to the place where future illness or symptoms no longer are a place of fear but simply just an inevitable part of reality and not have that be too triggering really is a great litmus test for how much of that urgency we still have in our system. Ben, I hope to have my 17-year-old son go through your program before he leaves for college as I think hearing things from the male lens is very helpful for young men and will hopefully help him avoid some of the pitfalls of life at University and the stress of leaving home.
I had EMDR therapy but instead of following lights from let to right, it consisted of tappy on my arms same as Ben's example. I didn't fully understand it at the time but now have more awareness. I'm still on my journey to rewire my brain following a period of chronic stress and continual lower back spasm. All neuroplasticity! One step at a time!! Excellent content on this channel.
I signed up for Ben's program this past summer because of the first interview he did with you Raelen! I knew if I was gonna watch dozens of videos of someone talking, it better be a voice and a way of communication that appeals to me! The Re-origin program has been great!
@juanitahyde1265 yes it did, I'm not completely recovered but the strategies I learnt in the Reorigin program helped remove a lot of symptoms and allowed me to mentally cope better with insomnia and fatigue. Also, a lovely community of people who just want to help you heal!
This is my first time hearing his approach and it’s so fascinating. I love knowing my brain can heal like a scratch. I have been retraining for the past 6 months and I have more energy but I’m having increased symptoms with the season change, time change, holidays. These were things that were so exciting for me my entire life until the hypersensitive nervous system started in 2020. I had several things that caused this but I can certainly list them and know how they all impacted me.
I absolutely love your videos, they really provide hope. I'm surprised to see you haven't covered a treatment called the stellate ganglion block. I've seen an awful lot of anecdotal reports where people have been cured or had huge relief from this treatment. It's reported to reset the nervous system.
Had a Stellate ganglion block.. sounded great.. but I just don’t think it was the issue. Also was at a time I was self diagnosing and treating. Am now more confident using the group wisdom here.. I understand many of the symptoms now and related to so much.
@@itsoutnow thank you for your report, I've spoken to 4/5 people through Reddit who've had life changing responses to it. It all depends on what's causing your illness in the first place, whether you're nervous system is the issue, the doctor who's doing it etc, there are lots of variables. Sorry it didn't work for you though.
@@tanyawieczorek6603 I didn’t. I read it’s an injection of anesthesia, and that sounds a little scary to me. My issues aren’t emotional either, which is what I read it targets from my brief research, but if I had PTSD or something more serious, I might consider it.
This really was an incredible!! helpful video. The information as well as the tools, loved this. It's going into my "favorites" section to re-watch! Thank you both!!
@tanyawieczorek6603 other than ptsd I am fully recovered 2.5 yrs. Later. It was a long road. Ivermectin also helped when I finally got a functional medicine practitioner to get me some this year.
So Helpful! Thank You 🙏 I was born into a controlling religion and married a very controlling man. I became very stress sick at 50. Luckily he divorced me and I had some freedom but carrying much guilt from the religion. Life has forced me back in the same house with him. I am partially paralyzed from this man still trying to control and judge me and the memory comes back but I am 79 and unable to take care of myself. I feel doomed! 😊❤
@@tanyawieczorek6603 Thank You So Much for caring! Jesus is Helping me see the Truth so all these hurtful untrue judgments I can see. That really helps but I am still praying to be Saved!
I’m so sad because I keep trying to do brain retraining for my CFS (I’m in a relapse right now). It helped me before to get to 75% recovery. But during this relapse I’ve been having crippling depression, anxiety, cptsd and insomnia. I don’t know to over come it without medication, I’ve tried every natural remedy out there. It’s so upsetting.
Do you think brain retraining exercises would also work when you are feeling tired/exhausted after doing to much? Can i push my limits and do brain retraining to overcome them? I assume not but asking anyway :) I’m currently pushing my limits often at work and im not sure if I should self-care more or find another solution for work
Thank you so much for your work, raelan. Would love to hear some more recoveries that aren’t through brain retraining… or is it because there aren’t any?! Is this the only thing that is working? Or do these people have a bias to talk about it more?
For sure - it's not only about brain training, as you can see in the playlists. But most people who wanted to share recently have had successes with brain training.
Raelan please try to interview Brea Katrin! She has amazing story of recovery and she is now a coach. She helped my recovery immensely. She has some classes online but her TH-cam channel is so valuable on its own! She’s specifically a great resource for Christians seeking to include God in their healing journey
Do you have a direct link to the 28-day program over at the re-origin website? I've been unable to locate that particular program specifically. Thanks in advance. -- Much aloha to both of you.
Everyone does not have a type A perfectionist fight mindset. Others - like myself - have a flight shutdown retreat mindset. I need to revert to the challenge mindset from the opposite direction you are speaking about.

I agree with what you’ve both said, that brain retraining provides a pathway to your body being able to self regulate in a healthful and positive way.
