      Me too. im so bummed over the Spire not being built. it still makes me cringe. And the new ones being built there was lowered from 1000ft to 800+. Its fustrating. Im always checking and see NY building taller. Then Oklahoma...What stresses me out is if the Tribune East Tower will ever get built!

      No and imo it looks too tall for that area one of the great things about Chicago’s skyline is that is it balanced from every view point this one in particular would mess it up imo

      @drewtommybenzo
      Hopefully you're talking about the two buildings where the Chicago Spire were suppossed to have been built but the Tribune Tower makes excellent sense to surpass the Sears tower because so many buildings have surpassed the Sears Tower and it's time for Americans to build Bigger and Taller again and the Sears Tower already had her day in court and held the record as the tallest building in the world for many Years ! Now it's just the tallest building in Chicago because one or two buildings in New York are taller than the Sears Tower !

    • @drewtommybenzo
      @drewtommybenzo 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@SuavelleAdams I would say I am against something being taller than the sears tower. But IF Something was I feel like placement matters heavily id place it either nearby the Hancock or near the sears tower for balance so that the building doesn’t look out of place like many of the buildings in Ny do. New York is beautiful photographed from certain angles tho

    • @SuavelleAdams

      What's tearing the New York city SkyLine apart is nothing but them pencil like Millionaire / Billionaire pencil shaped like buildings ! I don't know how old you are but the Sears Tower has been the tallest building in the world for a record amount of years and now she is just the tallest building in Chicago ! If you look at the Sears Tower / Trump Tower / John Hancock building coming into Chicago from a distance just them three buildings have the same affect like both the Twin Towers did for New York City ! The Tribune Tower would Add on to this appearance ! It's not about what the building takes away from a certain distance but what it helps add on to the city for many upon arrival or just passing through Chicago looking at our SkyLine wishing that they lived here in Chicago ! I see exactly Where you're coming from and I used to feel the same way but the Sears Tower no longer holds the record and Chicago is moving forward to the next generation(s) !

      @@ahmedzakikhan7639NYC has been without industry for almost 100 years. The Midwest and the Northwest are the only regions in America that have had an adequate industrial economic sector since the 60s. When America finally rids of its industry, it will be the most worthless country on earth. As a wise guy once said, "He who makes the goods, has the power".

    Lincoln Yards is never going to happen. I've been watching it since the project began and I handle a lot of Sterling Bay's paperwork. Its an empty lot and has been since even before the pandemic. I'm sure it's a money laundering scheme akin to the Port Covington project that was announced in Baltimore back in 2016. That project was to be a massive separate downtown area and consumed much needed tax payer dollars to deliver little to nothing as of now. Sterling Bay owns so much of the West Loop but their buildings always seem devoid of life and I both wonder AND know why.
