It also plays when she fights the different "Otho" in the match - which was also a nice detail I noticed the first-time I watched the scene. Especially showing that IT has the Upper-hand during the first half of the fight, until Lex pops in and saves the day (with help from Webby of course).
she do be do be taking many forms uwu small HC because i have hatchetfield brainrot besides the gift, i feel webby feels so connected to Hannah because at some point she could be playful and actually have fun with someone based on that one scene and how Hannah confided in her across the diff installments, its clear that she would play all sorts of little roles and characters to entertain Hannah, she tried her hardest to make her smile or laugh through all the pain of life to be funny and dependable, even if it was a lot of distractions from all the awfulness of the black and white, trying to provide a sense of relief and escapism fo Hannah, and maybe even herself (i feel its implied with how nick describes her genuinely feeling ashamed when Hannah snaps at her in this ep) Webby, like the other guides/adults in Hannah's life, sees her growing up too fast and becoming so hardened by her circumstances and being the (presumed youngest) and only queen of the black and white, with the lords in black as her ""brothers"", that can make for some truly eldritch levels of trauma we cant even qualify lmao the whole she needed Hannah more than Hannah ever needed her

Both versions of Ethan are weirdly heartwarming and sweet. He really does try to keep Hannah happy, even to his own detriment. She's not even related to him.

He just doesn't view people as people because he thinks they are toys; Blinky doesn't view people as people because they are property. Tinky tosses people around and treats them as nothing more than playthings, getting them to do as he wants while providing an illusion of choice. After all, he didn't just plain out torture them, he drove them insane by stirring everything around them into a curious little cocktail. But in the end, I don't think Tinky cares that he is hurting them, he's just doing it to see that he can do it. Blinky, on the other hand, is a one person police state. His whole thing is cruelty. He's as clever as he needs to be and as tricky as whoever he's catching, but all in all it's stomping on his victims that fuels him. I'd have to rewatch it to be sure, but iirc in Watcherworld there was something of a constant tension. There were basically no moments of reprieve. When in TGWDLM, Emma and the titular guy would've gotten just a moment to flirt, or Black Friday would've given someone a second to ponder how tragic it all is, Watcherworld leaves its family of victims moments to, still stuttering from fright, exchange a quick recognition of the other's survival state, trying to create a period of pause, before something bad happens that interrupts it. Because Blinky is Always Watching. And he won't let you catch a break. You are his, so you better behave like it, you belong in Watcherworld, you belong to Watcherworld.
Okay, but between her nailing the Alanis-Morissette-inspired title song and her acting the HELL of out of Lex's anger / self-loathing at her inability to care for Hannah, this is Angela's finest turn in a Starkid production and it's awesome to see her prove what a first-class talent she is.
Well that ending hurt like hell. God Lex and Hannah are my favorite characters in this universe. Angela is just an unbelievable actress. What an underrated piece this is
it's such a payoff seeing the blue goo and the meteor from tgwdlm getting tied into the growing hatchetfield canon. you guys are killing it with these stories!
not to mention webby mentions pokey's been freed before!!!! i think this ties into him being "sealed" in the meteor and attempting to return to hatchetfield in various ways - cause in tgwdlm the meteor crashed, while in this timeline scientists visited that materials and brought the "blue shit" back

The fact that Pokey “Hates every voice that is not his own” makes me think he might even want to get rid of his fellow lords in black. A fight between all the lords would be interesting
I fully believe the lords in black only don't go for each other is because they have countless timelines to mess with so they never really get in each others way. if they were confined to one universe I think they'd fight one another for full control.

These are INCREDIBLE stories & immense acting with absolute bangers. NMT3 is apparently pro shot as well so they’ll be short movies!? I come watch these all the time, they’re so good & i NEED more

This season was a lot more wins for the protagonists than usual, to be fair. The nighthawks didn't take over, nor did the Killer Track; Frank Pricely made it out alive, as did the main Abstinence Camp campers; and Hannah, Lex, and Webby worked together to kill the elder god that so easily took over the world in the first Hatchetfield installment. Sure, Nibbly ate Linda, but she's a (lovable) villain anyways. It's a much higher loss ratio on the side of the antagonists than last season.
I don't know; can Emma really be said to have a "win" at the end given that they're arrested? I guess it's better than being enslaved by the nighthawks, but it still doesn't seem like a desirable outcome. And "Abstinence Camp" ends with the main characters still being held at the camp by someone threatening them with an axe; it's just that now it's Grace doing that instead of Lumber Axe. And unlike Emma and Zigs, Frank does *not* escape slavery. One could argue this season has less victories for protagonists since it only has this one and "Killer Track" wheras the last one had "The Hatchetfield Ape-Man", "Watcher World" *and* "The Witch In The Web."
I also don't think they "killed" the god itself per se. They destroyed his only fully viable physical vessel at the time, but there's nothing stopping him from (sooner or later) getting another one, probably with Charlie's help. Otho was (allegedly) just the thing that got created with a bit of Pokey's goo from a meteor. Still a win, relatively speaking, of course.
Once again, Curt Mega absolutely killing it as both and actor but definitely editing too! Also, Joey as Ethan and Lauren as Hannah were both incredible. And oh my god Bryce as Spitfire crushed it!!!
I love how you can hear an almost ominous version of the instrumental of the lyrics “Will tomorrow come? Will tomorrow not come?” sometimes when Hannah is the focus
Aw, I'm still in the beginning, but I just wanted to say that Ethan is such a sweet guy. I kept waiting for him to turn out to be part of the problem, but he didn't get upset with Lex, even when she threw the wrench, and then when she was all stressed wiht her test and he says anything you forgot I'll take care of, knowning she forgot Hannah's birthday, and then he was being so sweet with Hannah taking her to do something fun for her birthday even though they are obviously tight on cash. Lex and Hannah are lucky to have him in their lives. I hope those 3 are ok.
Aw that one ended kinda sad. Ethan was a good guy, he really would have said no to Charles regardless of the amount of money, not that I think Charles would have let it go, but still, he really did love Hannah and Lex and was trying to be the dad Hannah needed and the partner Lex needed. Too bad he didn't just take Hannah to Vegas and hit Megabucks. Well, guess that can't happen when you live in Hatchetfield.

i was honestly kind of upset that we didn’t get kendall playing hannah in this one, but even though her voice and face were obviously completely different i think lauren absolutely nailed the character, she was so good
I actually kinda find the fighting rink wholesome? Because like- the kids aren’t butt hurt that they are made to fight each other, they just do it and then hang out with no hard feelings. They form like some kinda friend group? Also, 1:22:42
Now, we've properly seen all of the Lords in Black and not only that, we now know we already saw one in TGWDLM. Since he was dominating people without it here Pokey made the conscious choice to make his world domination into a musical and that makes him the best Lord In Black.
That was 100% the influence of crashing into the theatre. The first people possessed were theatre kids, so Pokey was just like, “Huh. This is how they communicate? Weird, but Imma go with it 🤷🏼♂️”

@@Idran Pokey defintively seem to have a thing about voices/music. In TGWDLM the professor did tell the zombies had a special gland to communicate through harmonic vibrationa nd here we see him do the frequency thing so it seems voice is a bit of a theme with him.
To be honest I am not sure if pokey was the one in TGWDLM or was it actually just a hive mind alien but it does seem like they are teasing pokey to be the one in that so it would make sense

Ethan ist genuinely my most favorite character in the whole Hatchetfield universe. He just cares so much about Lex and Hannah while being such a lovable idiot. Absolute gem of a character.
"Next Time" is a perfect bookend to TGWDLM. Is it a lovely show closer from Team Starkid letting us know that Nightmare Time 3 is inevitable and we'll all see each other again real soon? OR is it a lovely anthem sung by Pokotho's puppets relaying the threat that he's still out there and world domination is just one good plan away? It's both. Another great run of Nightmare Time. The Hatchetfield universe isn't going anywhere, but with Nerdy Prudes Must Die it looks like they are going into a new phase with this whole thing, specially with going back to on stage shows and stuff

It took me several days, and lots of speed ups, but as far as I know, I now caught up to all Hatchefield lore, and I'm absolutely losing my mind over all of this. I love all the characters that got their time to shine in this series, and I really hope to see more with time. Its such a ride to watch this series, and I really want to watch other of Starkids works. I got wrecked emotionally a few times and had a lot of laughs. All because of Dead Meat and Tumblr. But yeah, incredible series, I really, really love it, and god, it made me love musicals even more.
I love that channels like Dead Meat and Wait In The Wings are bringing new people to Starkid!! I’ve been a fan since 2011 but I dropped off for a while, and the Kill Count for TGWDLM is the thing that convinced me to come back and watch the Hatchetfield series.
I watched TGWDLM prior to the Kill Count on Dead Meat (loved the episode btw) and now I'm ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with Hatchetfield and Team Starkids in general. I only discovered them back in September (it's 1st April 2024) and still getting through they're content whether I get the chance. I'm looking forward to their brand-new musical 'Cinderella's Castle' (title was announced recently) and especially Nightmare Time 3 that will be coming out eventually. Can't wait to see what comes next!
I really REALLY enjoyed the shift from stage play acting (over the top, loud, a bit too expressive) to a more film-like acting (calm, intimate, but still very expressive). It was heartbreaking. I hope Led, Ethan and Hannah aren't gone for good. I know 2 of the 3 are either in school, or out of the club, but Lauren did a great Hannah, and Joey did a great Ethan.
This really is a perfect mix of everything that makes Nightmare Time so cool; almost felt like reading a superhero comic. The background music whenever Otho appears referencing TGWDLM being so eerie was a great touch. And the ending song being about being hopeful of different timelines is so nice (kind of like a second part of Tomorrow will come which is more of a weird mix of despair and hope)
I love how Lex's song at the beginning had some similar melodic bits to 'Black Friday'. For example 'you were so so convincing with your hair' is the same melody as 'the plans for my father's hopeless seed'

So for anyone the is still unsure if pokey was responsible for tgwdlm he definitely was. His mind control is a little different between this and tgwdlm but that’s probably because he doesn’t have his full power. As stated in the video they found a meteor (the same one from tgwdlm) and used the goo they found inside combining it with human dna creating this form we see him take. But the most likely reason he decided to take on a musical mind control was probably because he landed in the theatre causing some sort of influence and that’s all the lords in black starting with Pokey and ending NT2 with Pokey what a journey
Okay but like, who else 100% was not ready for Joey's Ethan Green? Like yes I knew it'd be Joey but- That hair, the earring, the EVERYTHING just- beautiful. 10/10.
I have to be completely honest and say that it took me a long time to sit and watch these masterpieces just bc these were not live plays. I should've known that SK NEVER disappoints! Loving every single episode and i have to admit that I was always at the edge of my seat. I wanna know more about Holloway. It made sense to me the fact that she signs and plays the guitar when I remembered that in one of the episodes she was asked for an autograph when going back in time with Hannah, and it was during the 80's.
I'm still trying to watching most of these episodes as a whole (some I've only seen bits & pieces of). I'm just waiting the right time to watch any of these episodes, once I've got a clean slate and have a nice relaxing time. Although, I have chunks & pieces of most of the episodes (except for F&A, TB and Jane's a Car) and have enjoyed these episodes/stories full of laughs and shocks. Hopefully I'll get a chance to watch the whole series whenever I get the chance. Edit:...

For some reason I was reluctant to rewatch Nightmare Time, but the Halloween stream pushed me to it and god, I'm so glad I did. I honestly forgot how good these stories are.
I always love Matt's music in the background of these stories, all the musical leit motifs and returning tunes from previous songs. The stories are awesome, the characters are awesome and the actors are incredible, but Nightmare Time for me is defined by Matt's backing tracks.

Wait, the 5 lords in black represent the senses Pokey Is hearing, Wiggly is touch, Nibbly is taste, Blinky is sight, Which leaves tinky as smell. The problem is that tinky doesn't really fit smell, but he is the only one with a nose so I guess it makes sense?
i lowkey hate how i put off watching nightmare time due to the format but s2 really shows how it couldn't work on stage and this was phenomenal. Hopefully nightmare time 3 can happen because this world and it characters are some of my favorites and it's a joy to watch play out with the talented members of starkid! Also i cried so much like this is one of the happier hatchetfield ends but god damn did it hurt. Thank y'all for all you're work and effort you put out for us!

Another amazing episode, beyond gutted the season’s over already. It’s lovely to see more of Bryce, she’s such a wonderful addition to the cast. Angela did such a wonderful job with Lex reading that letter to Ethan, it was utterly devastating. So impressed with the level of production on season 2, it’s been fantastic at all turns. Also huge thanks to Jeff for making me sob my pathetic little heart out with ‘Next Time’ - totally destroyed me but it was so worth it.
God, I thought after the end of Killer Track I couldn't be any more emotionally devastated. And then the end of this episode topped it. That letter hurt my heart. Good luck Fosters, stay safe.
Starkid killing it once again! This round of Nightmare Time was phenomenal. And there are so many hours of Hatchetfield content now! It's awesome! I was pumped when I saw this one was 2 hours long and it was well worth it.
I have OCD and Starkid is one of the few things I can watch (I have to read spoilers first). I finally watched it without waiting until tomorrow and checking everyone else's reviews of the content, and my reward is LEX LEAVING ETHAN?!?!?! I am crying. I am simply crying. I am going to go rewatch Firebringer.

Y'all keep delivering banger after banger. The Nightmare Time stories often has such a great mix of campy, creepy and good writing (especially good character writing) wrapped in a bow of good performances and editing, and honestly I'm so addicted to all the Hatchetfield lore and stories. Lauren and Joey did a great job as Hannah and Ethan (the ending with Ethan and Lex honestly had me emotional), and I hope Bryce and Jae are going to be regulars from this point on, because I've been loving their performances and energy, all around, exceptional work from everyone involved!
in less than 20 minutes i went from sobbing from the ending of killer track, to giggling over the mcnamara feature, to being interested by the change in hannah’s actor, and then to wondering if the boys are richie and max. only nightmare time could do this to me.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the creepy eldritch god dropping the F bomb at 1:22 and his confusion throughout the whole scene with lex and the detonator
I've been watching everything out of order... this is the first time in a while that I've seen Angela play someone other than Grace Chasity, and it's really nice to see her in another role.
I love horror. I love musicals. Horror my comfort, musical my happiness, and Starkid? Starkid just nail it, right to my aching heart. Its everything: the music, the story, all those freakingly talented actors. I just found it last year, and I was inmadietly in love. Everything just I needed, just what I need and so much more. I can't thank enough time for this incredible shows. Makes me laugh, crying and terryfied, and soothing me. So: thank you Starkid.

YES! i’ve been waiting for Pokey to show up ever since season one and i’m so happy to finally see him and get confirmation that he is indeed the entity from TGWDLM!! though i do question why his influence tends to come from space rather than just already being permeated into hatchetfield the way his siblings are. in TGWDLM his influence was released when a meteor struck down, and here he was discovered in a meteor out in orbit. is he perhaps just younger than his siblings and they all came to earth this way? does he just like space?
I absolutely LOVED everything about Nightmare Time season 2, but something about this episode really stuck with me. based on that one scene and how Hannah confided in her across the diff installments, its clear that she would play all sorts of little roles and characters to entertain Hannah, she tried her hardest to make her smile or laugh through all the pain of life
to be funny and dependable, even if it was a lot of distractions from all the awfulness of the black and white,
trying to provide a sense of relief and escapism fo Hannah, and maybe even herself (i feel its implied with how nick describes her genuinely feeling ashamed when Hannah snaps at her in this ep)
Webby, like the other guides/adults in Hannah's life, sees her growing up too fast and becoming so hardened by her circumstances
and being the (presumed youngest) and only queen of the black and white, with the lords in black as her ""brothers"", that can make for some truly eldritch levels of trauma we cant even qualify lmao
the whole she needed Hannah more than Hannah ever needed her

Tinky tosses people around and treats them as nothing more than playthings, getting them to do as he wants while providing an illusion of choice. After all, he didn't just plain out torture them, he drove them insane by stirring everything around them into a curious little cocktail. But in the end, I don't think Tinky cares that he is hurting them, he's just doing it to see that he can do it.
Blinky, on the other hand, is a one person police state. His whole thing is cruelty. He's as clever as he needs to be and as tricky as whoever he's catching, but all in all it's stomping on his victims that fuels him. I'd have to rewatch it to be sure, but iirc in Watcherworld there was something of a constant tension. There were basically no moments of reprieve. When in TGWDLM, Emma and the titular guy would've gotten just a moment to flirt, or Black Friday would've given someone a second to ponder how tragic it all is, Watcherworld leaves its family of victims moments to, still stuttering from fright, exchange a quick recognition of the other's survival state, trying to create a period of pause, before something bad happens that interrupts it. Because Blinky is Always Watching. And he won't let you catch a break. You are his, so you better behave like it, you belong in Watcherworld, you belong to Watcherworld.
What does it mean to be the trickiest but not the cleverest? Don't you need cleverness to be tricky? 🤔
Okay, but between her nailing the Alanis-Morissette-inspired title song and her acting the HELL of out of Lex's anger / self-loathing at her inability to care for Hannah, this is Angela's finest turn in a Starkid production and it's awesome to see her prove what a first-class talent she is.

Angela is a PHENOMENAL actor, the way she reads Lex's letter to Ethan always breaks me 😢
This season was a lot more wins for the protagonists than usual, to be fair. The nighthawks didn't take over, nor did the Killer Track; Frank Pricely made it out alive, as did the main Abstinence Camp campers; and Hannah, Lex, and Webby worked together to kill the elder god that so easily took over the world in the first Hatchetfield installment. Sure, Nibbly ate Linda, but she's a (lovable) villain anyways. It's a much higher loss ratio on the side of the antagonists than last season.
I don't know; can Emma really be said to have a "win" at the end given that they're arrested? I guess it's better than being enslaved by the nighthawks, but it still doesn't seem like a desirable outcome. And "Abstinence Camp" ends with the main characters still being held at the camp by someone threatening them with an axe; it's just that now it's Grace doing that instead of Lumber Axe. And unlike Emma and Zigs, Frank does *not* escape slavery.
One could argue this season has less victories for protagonists since it only has this one and "Killer Track" wheras the last one had "The Hatchetfield Ape-Man", "Watcher World" *and* "The Witch In The Web."

I also don't think they "killed" the god itself per se. They destroyed his only fully viable physical vessel at the time, but there's nothing stopping him from (sooner or later) getting another one, probably with Charlie's help. Otho was (allegedly) just the thing that got created with a bit of Pokey's goo from a meteor. Still a win, relatively speaking, of course.

Aw, I'm still in the beginning, but I just wanted to say that Ethan is such a sweet guy. I kept waiting for him to turn out to be part of the problem, but he didn't get upset with Lex, even when she threw the wrench, and then when she was all stressed wiht her test and he says anything you forgot I'll take care of, knowning she forgot Hannah's birthday, and then he was being so sweet with Hannah taking her to do something fun for her birthday even though they are obviously tight on cash. Lex and Hannah are lucky to have him in their lives. I hope those 3 are ok.
Aw that one ended kinda sad. Ethan was a good guy, he really would have said no to Charles regardless of the amount of money, not that I think Charles would have let it go, but still, he really did love Hannah and Lex and was trying to be the dad Hannah needed and the partner Lex needed. Too bad he didn't just take Hannah to Vegas and hit Megabucks. Well, guess that can't happen when you live in Hatchetfield.

i was honestly kind of upset that we didn’t get kendall playing hannah in this one, but even though her voice and face were obviously completely different i think lauren absolutely nailed the character, she was so good

@@Idran Pokey defintively seem to have a thing about voices/music. In TGWDLM the professor did tell the zombies had a special gland to communicate through harmonic vibrationa nd here we see him do the frequency thing so it seems voice is a bit of a theme with him.

"Next Time" is a perfect bookend to TGWDLM. Is it a lovely show closer from Team Starkid letting us know that Nightmare Time 3 is inevitable and we'll all see each other again real soon? OR is it a lovely anthem sung by Pokotho's puppets relaying the threat that he's still out there and world domination is just one good plan away? It's both. Another great run of Nightmare Time. It took me several days, and lots of speed ups, but as far as I know, I now caught up to all Hatchefield lore, and I'm absolutely losing my mind over all of this. I love all the characters that got their time to shine in this series, and I really hope to see more with time. Its such a ride to watch this series, and I really want to watch other of Starkids works. I got wrecked emotionally a few times and had a lot of laughs. All because of Dead Meat and Tumblr. But yeah, incredible series, I really, really love it, and god, it made me love musicals even more.
I love that channels like Dead Meat and Wait In The Wings are bringing new people to Starkid!! I’ve been a fan since 2011 but I dropped off for a while, and the Kill Count for TGWDLM is the thing that convinced me to come back and watch the Hatchetfield series.
I watched TGWDLM prior to the Kill Count on Dead Meat (loved the episode btw) and now I'm ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with Hatchetfield and Team Starkids in general. I only discovered them back in September (it's 1st April 2024) and still getting through they're content whether I get the chance. I'm looking forward to their brand-new musical 'Cinderella's Castle' (title was announced recently) and especially Nightmare Time 3 that will be coming out eventually. Can't wait to see what comes next!

I really REALLY enjoyed the shift from stage play acting (over the top, loud, a bit too expressive) to a more film-like acting (calm, intimate, but still very expressive). It was heartbreaking. I hope Led, Ethan and Hannah aren't gone for good. I know 2 of the 3 are either in school, or out of the club, but Lauren did a great Hannah, and Joey did a great Ethan.
This really is a perfect mix of everything that makes Nightmare Time so cool; almost felt like reading a superhero comic. The background music whenever Otho appears referencing TGWDLM being so eerie was a great touch. And the ending song being about being hopeful of different timelines is so nice (kind of like a second part of Tomorrow will come which is more of a weird mix of despair and hope)
I love how Lex's song at the beginning had some similar melodic bits to 'Black Friday'. For example 'you were so so convincing with your hair' is the same melody as 'the plans for my father's hopeless seed'
It's so sad! Mostly for Ethan...he didn't do anything wrong, but still "life get's shitty sometimes".
1:30:45 Can we talk about how freaking epic the underscoring is right here!?! A badass ethereal remix of TGWDLM for who is revealed to be the one who caused it!?! This is Otho/ Poky's theme and I love it!!!!
So for anyone the is still unsure if pokey was responsible for tgwdlm he definitely was. His mind control is a little different between this and tgwdlm but that’s probably because he doesn’t have his full power. As stated in the video they found a meteor (the same one from tgwdlm) and used the goo they found inside combining it with human dna creating this form we see him take. But the most likely reason he decided to take on a musical mind control was probably because he landed in the theatre causing some sort of influence and that’s all the lords in black starting with Pokey and ending NT2 with Pokey what a journey
And just to add, "Join Us And Die" is also playing here (1:20:30) just to hammer home that it is in fact connected to TGWDLM
Okay but like, who else 100% was not ready for Joey's Ethan Green? Like yes I knew it'd be Joey but- That hair, the earring, the EVERYTHING just- beautiful. 10/10.
THE EMOTION
I have to be completely honest and say that it took me a long time to sit and watch these masterpieces just bc these were not live plays. I should've known that SK NEVER disappoints! Loving every single episode and i have to admit that I was always at the edge of my seat.
I wanna know more about Holloway. It made sense to me the fact that she signs and plays the guitar when I remembered that in one of the episodes she was asked for an autograph when going back in time with Hannah, and it was during the 80's.

I'm still trying to watching most of these episodes as a whole (some I've only seen bits & pieces of). I'm just waiting the right time to watch any of these episodes, once I've got a clean slate and have a nice relaxing time. Although, I have chunks & pieces of most of the episodes (except for F&A, TB and Jane's a Car) and have enjoyed these episodes/stories full of laughs and shocks. Hopefully I'll get a chance to watch the whole series whenever I get the chance.

Can we just talk about how when Otho was about to absorb Hannah, the song playing was Let It Out? Because that's awesome.
I always love Matt's music in the background of these stories, all the musical leit motifs and returning tunes from previous songs. The stories are awesome, the characters are awesome and the actors are incredible, but Nightmare Time for me is defined by Matt's backing tracks.
At the start-ish with the boxing match with the pale man with blue veins, I immediately thought

here after NPMD and I just binge-watched all the NMTs, so amazing! These were incredible to watch and it's obvious that so much time and care went into every one of them, I wish there were more views! Kudos to everyone who worked on these projects

The problem is that tinky doesn't really fit smell, but he is the only one with a nose so I guess it makes sense?

i lowkey hate how i put off watching nightmare time due to the format but s2 really shows how it couldn't work on stage and this was phenomenal. Hopefully nightmare time 3 can happen because this world and it characters are some of my favorites and it's a joy to watch play out with the talented members of starkid! Also i cried so much like this is one of the happier hatchetfield ends but god damn did it hurt. Thank y'all for all you're work and effort you put out for us!
cannot stress enough the extent to which this is Biblically Accurate ethan to me like i know robert manion's version of the character has been around longer but something about joey's makes me go yeah that's ethan. like this is his essence
I feel the exact same way. I love Robert but he really didn’t embody the character to me and Joey… he IS Ethan

Another amazing episode, beyond gutted the season’s over already. It’s lovely to see more of Bryce, she’s such a wonderful addition to the cast. Angela did such a wonderful job with Lex reading that letter to Ethan, it was utterly devastating. So impressed with the level of production on season 2, it’s been fantastic at all turns.
Also huge thanks to Jeff for making me sob my pathetic little heart out with ‘Next Time’ - totally destroyed me but it was so worth it.
God, I thought after the end of Killer Track I couldn't be any more emotionally devastated. And then the end of this episode topped it. That letter hurt my heart. Good luck Fosters, stay safe.

Starkid killing it once again! This round of Nightmare Time was phenomenal. And there are so many hours of Hatchetfield content now! It's awesome! I was pumped when I saw this one was 2 hours long and it was well worth it.
I have OCD and Starkid is one of the few things I can watch (I have to read spoilers first). I finally watched it without waiting until tomorrow and checking everyone else's reviews of the content, and my reward is LEX LEAVING ETHAN?!?!?! I am crying. I am simply crying. I am going to go rewatch Firebringer.
Honestly, Webby is a pretty good representation of OCD, at least for me. (Starkid is also one of the only things I can watch too, coincidentally)
If you don't mind sharing, what is it about OCD that makes Starkid a different experience from other types of fiction?
@@Tallone55 Well, everyone’s obsessions are different, so there’s no reason that Starkid in particular is watchable. However for me, it’s that the productions are still on zoom, as I currently fear seeing people together in person without a mask and such (I hope that helps!)

I had already watched TGWDLM, and pretty much every piece of Starkid content I could find. I also love every Starkid member, and so in a way, it's like I trust them more than other content creators. Alongside that, I believe that Hatchetfield is a multiverse, right? (If I'm wrong, please don't correct me, thinking this helps me a lot) So I know that if something bad happens, I can rewatch Black Friday, or another episode where that didn't happen.

Y'all keep delivering banger after banger. The Nightmare Time stories often has such a great mix of campy, creepy and good writing (especially good character writing) wrapped in a bow of good performances and editing, and honestly I'm so addicted to all the Hatchetfield lore and stories.
Lauren and Joey did a great job as Hannah and Ethan (the ending with Ethan and Lex honestly had me emotional), and I hope Bryce and Jae are going to be regulars from this point on, because I've been loving their performances and energy, all around, exceptional work from everyone involved!
in less than 20 minutes i went from sobbing from the ending of killer track, to giggling over the mcnamara feature, to being interested by the change in hannah’s actor, and then to wondering if the boys are richie and max. only nightmare time could do this to me.
I just want a guy like Ethan 😭 hes so wholesome and sweet even though everyone says hes a criminal deadbeat. He just genuinely loves Lex and Hannah
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the creepy eldritch god dropping the F bomb at 1:22 and his confusion throughout the whole scene with lex and the detonator
I've been watching everything out of order... this is the first time in a while that I've seen Angela play someone other than Grace Chasity, and it's really nice to see her in another role.
I love horror. I love musicals. Horror my comfort, musical my happiness, and Starkid? Starkid just nail it, right to my aching heart. Its everything: the music, the story, all those freakingly talented actors. I just found it last year, and I was inmadietly in love. Everything just I needed, just what I need and so much more. I can't thank enough time for this incredible shows.
Makes me laugh, crying and terryfied, and soothing me. So: thank you Starkid.

YES! i’ve been waiting for Pokey to show up ever since season one and i’m so happy to finally see him and get confirmation that he is indeed the entity from TGWDLM!!
though i do question why his influence tends to come from space rather than just already being permeated into hatchetfield the way his siblings are. in TGWDLM his influence was released when a meteor struck down, and here he was discovered in a meteor out in orbit.
is he perhaps just younger than his siblings and they all came to earth this way? does he just like space?

I absolutely LOVED everything about Nightmare Time season 2, but something about this episode really stuck with me. I was so emotionally invested in this episode in particular and I can’t explain why. Thank you so much Starkid, for doing what you do. All of your amazing talents do not go unnoticed :)
