My dad passed away in Dec 2017. We buried him in blue jeans and sent balloons up as well. Back then I didn't know about you but since that you have become my favorite country singer. Glad to see you doing good. Stay strong and God bless.
It was amazing seeing you perform on Friday night. Not a dry around me towards the end of your performance as you released that balloon. So raw, emotional and deeply felt by so many.

Music is definitely healing. My son and I shared a love of music. As a bereaved parent I still do. One of my favorite is Lauren daigle rescue. We just have to keep riding the waves of grief and keep getting back up for air. Continued prayers for your family. Keep doing what you love and what's healing.

Granger- I watched this video 6 times and i’m crying my eyes out! River was loved by all of us as well! I know he’s sitting on your daddy’s knee and sharing so many stories of the past few years that he spent on earth. He’s happy Granger. Today marks the birthday of a childhood friend of mine. He would have been 27 today. But he didnt make it. He passed away in 2011. Music has definitely been something to get me through the rough times of missing him. Next month marks the anniversary of his death. I still don't get it. But: I know God's got it.

Your song 5 more mins is one of my favorites. My dad passed away and the day before he passed he kept talking about the angels in the room. I get chills every time when I hear that song. He was not a religious man so him seeing those angels proved to me they do exist. My family lost my brother when he was 4 in a tractor accident on the farm. It changed our lives forever. Some things we are not meant to know why right now. One day we will though, one day we will get all the answers we ask God for. I thank you and your wife for sharing with us. Love u guys lost my 2&1/2 yr old daughter to a brain tumor. Had 3 more kids n our youngest had a brain tumor too. He’s here but severely disabled... we love him n nurture him n trust me your on the right track. Talk to people n see your not alone. Write your beautiful songs. It’ll heal you too. We (my now husband and I) met you 5 years ago in small town Nebraska and have followed and listened since. Your music has been with us through good times and bad and your family is showing tremendous Christlike embodiment. We are having difficulties with conception and watching how your family has handled and continues to handle this tragic event has brought us closer together and closer to God. And y’all may never see this but I don’t think words can describe how sincerely sorry we are for your loss and without sounding insensitive to the situation how much we appreciate and look to the way you stick to God through it all. We can only hope to emulate your faith and trust for the Lord in our situation as well. Once again, our deepest condolences.

I spent the better part of my day searching for this video to send a link to my daughter, being a new fan I was enjoying all your videos and stories from the beginning, but wanted this video because she has lost three close friends in a short period of time and she is only 18.
It was most of my day mainly because I got so caught up in relating, watching and crying with your videos but also feeling a sense of peace at the same time in every one, in every one from the beginning “kiss under the sheets” to present day. Thank you for being a positive influence for my daughter, for me, and everyone who enjoys your music!!

I have the lyrics "if heaven wasn't so far away" tattooed on me in memory of my grandpa, my dad, and father in law. Music is so therapeutic on so many levels. Your family is always in my prayers. You're all an inspiration.
I sit and watch your videos with my 18 month old son and your story helps me as a dad so much. Ive learned to appreciate all the small things and enjoy every moment, and to love more instead of getting mad. You never know when something life changing could happen. Glad to see you doing better!

He was able to see you in Sun Valley, Idaho and again with Garth Brooks in Boise, Idaho! He didn’t realize you were going to be there and really didn’t want to go, but was convinced to go with his Aunt Mikhaila and you should have seen the look on his face when you came out. I’ll try to get a picture to you somehow. He loves watching your music and TH-cam videos over and over again! Thank you for being such an amazing mentor to all people.
I’ve never experienced losing a small child but I have a daughter going through cancer treatment right now. And when you are open with your grief, it brings an outpouring of love and healing for all. We should live life everyday supporting and healing each other when we all go through the tough times

Your wisdom floors me. I can see the pain on your face and in your voice and it’s breaks my heart. There’s a video on Ambers Instagram where she is pretending to cry and River takes off his hat, holds her face and tells her to stop crying. That right there is god and the love River had for you and his Momma. This isn’t our grief yet we are all feeling it with you. I hope you all find the happy moments amongst this heart breaking tragedy.

Music helped me through my son's sudden death from heart failure almost 6 years ago and my husband's death in 2021. Granger's music is so perfect because it describes real life, real heartbreak and real joy. 💔 ❤️

The first time I saw you perform was in Midland Michigan a month ago now( was working the show) and since then I have not been able to stop listening to your songs on repeat as they have helped me find meaning and understanding with some of the hardest things I have gone through in life. Each time I watch a video you post it does the same. I am constantly thinking about you and your family through these times and I just want to say that I can not thank you enough for your music and I cant wait to watch you perform again soon.

This video had me holding back tears. River made such a big, positive impact on so many people's lives. River Kelly Smith is missed deeply. Granger, I saw you back in January with Kane and Raelynn. I saw how happy you were and how much you enjoyed being on stage and you could just see the joy that was in your eyes. I know that there will always be that part of you missing now that River is not longer with us. I have gone through the loss of a close family member and it is not easy. There are songs that bring memories of my daughter (that passed at 27 in 2010) sometimes I cry because it’s exactly what I needed at that moment (God knows) and I smile and thank God for the beautiful memories I have of my beautiful daughter Sue aka Sue Sue ♥️♥️♥️ Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Lost a girl I was interested in a few years back. Checked my fb after church on Sunday, scrolling and saw an image of her with another friend. Sadly it was news of her passing. Back in May, I sent your family something I carved out of my granddad's tree. In with the piece of wood I wrote a letter telling y'all how your music brings me back to both of my grandpas, I lost them both almost exactly 2 years apart. They were very important to me and helped mold me into the man I am today. Your music not only helps us heal, but it helps us remember the amazing gift of time we had with those who meant so much to is and we loved so dearly. I am so glad to see you staying strong in your faith and continuing to use your gift to heal others. Keep moving forward brother, we are all praying for God's healing grace over your entire family.

Thank you so much for continuing to post videos. I have not lost anyone recently but just listening to your outlook on life and how you’re dealing with your loss helps me with the problems I’m having. My happy place is on the tractor, in the fields keeping up with the farm work and listening to music. There’s something very peaceful to me about music and a wide open diesel on a cabless tractor. For those hours spent in the field it’s like the whole world melts away and there not a single thing that matters. You’ve helped me through your songs and through the smiths channel and I wish there was more I could do to help, but I’ve subscribed and liked every video I’ve seen. Keep doing what you love!

Thank you Granger and Amber. I am listening to a lot of your advice. Been going through a hard time myself. A couple years ago I was feeling like I was on top of the.world than my world came.crashing down. It is the.reality of life bad things happen to good people. Music has been my saving.grace. It has gotten me through so many dark days. Some of those dark.days I just wanted to run away and never look.back but I know that is not gonna fix everything. Amazing and your messages about social media and points you made are so true...that song by garth brooks, tomorrow never comes... is a song that reminds me of my nanny we played it at her funeral, she always said to me growing up.... do what you can today because "tomorrow never comes" so true as we just dont know what the next day as in store for us.. you and amber are wonderful people.. and i feel music is healing as well, the song heaven bound balloons is so touching in so many ways. I do also believe that God gifted us with healing music. God comforts in beautiful ways. You’re right about everyone suffering through many trials & tribulations. I believe that God takes GOOD out of bad! God’s Word is full of true stories that prove that fact. I myself am facing partial paralysis soon. But I’m joyous & at peace.....because, although I know God didn’t cause my rare neurological condition, He allowed it for His perfect reason. My faith has grown strong through this struggle. It gave me another platform, in the hospital, to share Jesus. And now our family is in shock over the crushing news of the murder of my beautiful great-niece last week. Heidi would’ve turned 35 the next day. Her two small children, three & five years old, are crying for their mommy,.....not understanding why she isn’t coming home to them. God feels the pain of mankind. He gives us the freedom to make our own choices. God CARES & LOVES us so much that He gave His son to us to pay the price for ALL our sins,...past, present AND future.....on that cross on Calvary. For those why believe that Jesus died for them, they have certain hope for a future free of all suffering & sin & death! Our suffering while in this mortal body will one day be NO MORE.....by God’s grace through Jesus’ redeeming blood! Whatever suffering we’re coping with today is NOT our FOREVER!!! THANK YOU JESUS!! If you don’t know Jesus, I encourage you to find a Bible & turn to the book of John.....found in the New Testament. That book of John explains quite clearly who Jesus is....& what He did for you. TODAY is the day you must surrender your life to Jesus & thank Him for taking your place on that cross, & forgiving you of all your sins........because none of us know if we’ll be given a tomorrow.
