Done my first ever 100 Matches of Starcraft and climbed form SIlver3 to Gold1 entirely thanks to this guide. ^^ Still utterly failing to max out in time or spread creep properly but i'm improving every match
so many videos in and 90% of the message would be summed up with a 10 hr video of ViBE's face close up repeating "spend larve, make drones" really hammers home how important that is, great series

Now going through it from Bronze. and now dropping my games in my league due to only focusing on fixing my macro, and having a great time with it! Thanks for the amazing in detail walkthrough! Dammit vibe, I started playing sc2 a couple weeks ago and just finished my ranked placement matches. I've been following your advice and placed gold 3. How am I supposed to practice my bronze and silver play?

@@jine7123 Same here, I microed my way to gold league in the past and every game was super stressful because if my units died I had no macro to back me up. I switched from terran to zerg and changed my mindset to macro oriented and now my games are much more enjoyable.

Playing every day, and going to re-watch from where I'm not hitting the mark (bronze in my case). My EPM is up - several other active players in Silver are also watching and playing.
Harstem sometimes writes down at what timing the Opponent hit and with how many units, Then goes into a private Lobby and tries his Build again to See if its possible to beat the timing if he is executing his build correctly (efficiently). I really like that idea.
I love this series so much 😀 just wondered if anybody else wondered about the egg thing he talks about here. I feel like I’m able to send eggs to mine gas without control clicking them. Like the game knows that right clicking wouldn’t apply to a larva cause it wouldn’t make sense but to an egg it does because you’re saying, “when this is done go here”
Vibe, idk if you will see this, but I'm stuck in gold 1 and have hit a wall. What army comp should I make when hydras just will not do it. I successfully max out by around 8:30-9 minutes, but I've had games where my maxed out army just gets wiped out over and over and over to the point where even my 80 drones can't keep up. I have had numerous games where I have level 3 upgrades on my hydras and they still get obliterated against the opponent's army. What other army should I make because hydras are not cutting it. I try switching to hydras and brood lords but that's so expensive I can't create both with 80 workers. Haaalp!
try Roach/Hydra. Roaches are more tanky and Hydras can still attack whgile staying bbehind them. The reason VIBE tells to mass Hydra becaus its a ground and anti air Unit and you dont have to worry they get killed by AIR Units like roaches. What are you exactly struggeling at? If you send all your Hydras in a line of 15 ore more tanks they will get decimated and they will trade so horrible bad that even the best eco cant hold forever.
@@GoDirectly2Jail exactly what i mean. so against colossus play Hydra, Corruptor to keep it simple. and against tanks and thors play Hydra/Ling to keep it again simple. Obviously there are better army compositions against this but that should work for you in Gold. If you have proper macro like VIBE is mentioning all the time you should outmacro you'r opponent with only Hydra and just overwhelm him so i suggest you to stick with what VIBES is telling you are just to slow for the moment but practice is all. Tell me how it works for you
Its very unlikely that gold players have enough army as terran or protoss at 830-9 mins to face a maxed out zerg army, theres something else thats messing you up
Yo!! Love your series you are the man! I seem to constantly get crushed in ZVT by your Terran guide. Idk how to counter except with Vipers and Lurkers Amd that sooo macro intensive against a point an clock Thor army
macro better, produce more, overwhelm him with mass. thats the whole point of this series :) if he has enough HT to mass storm your army he probably had better macro then you or at least enough macro to make it work. but it wont most of the times in the lower leagues. you may lose a game or two against some shit like mass widow mines (a-moving their base will literally blow up your hydra army in a second) but its no the point to win every game. the point is to develop the right habbits which will take you to platinum at least. only after you reached diamond you will start to worry about unit compositions.
The win/losses streaks are painful. I win 7 matches in a row and feel like I am completely dominating, then I will be hit by the 10 losses in a row and be completely demoralised. Guess I just need to grind out another 100 games and continue to learn from losses and hopefully I can hit plat at some point
I would attribute the losses to maybe something more mental. you have the core mechanics down pat. I have to ask, when you lose, do you change the build at all? Like slightly less macro and a little more micro? Maybe not enough scouting or understanding what the opponent is doing? My games are a loss when the opponent goes all in, but now i understand 10 roach 1 spine and its helped a lot

I try to never change anything from the videos so mental would most likely be the key thing, but sometimes I do get smashed by an all-in I haven't seen before.
I know how this feels. I try not to worry too much about ladder rank. Try and set a goal for yourself every game, like being solid on creep spread or not supply blocking etc, so as long as you hit that goal it’s a consolation even if you loose the game. Even if you don’t achieve that goal, considering each game a learning experience and move on, eventually you’ll start moving up. As we move up the latter and our MMR goes up we ultimately will be matched with stronger opponents that can take advantage of us in different ways, so the only way to make it not about the grind is to decide in your mind to not make it one. nuero? Nero? Another streamer and Zerg main taught me that one!

Attack with all your workers, they can wipe out 6 longs easily, just be sure to mineral walk individual workers before they die so you dont lose too many
When you about to finish your 2-2 grades. Since grades by themselfes are tided to your evo-chambers timing (plased at full saturation of your 2'd base) and if you start upgrades in time you can easily figure out when to morph your layer into aa hive
Waiting for the mmr to increase to deal with turtle mech. Feels that the old "more broodlord" to against thors siege tank just dont work. Edit: Going mass roach ravager flood style works pretty good. Even with bad trade, we can just swarm terran constantly.

If he is killing you with storms a lot they only have so much energy so he will eventually run out

What really works as a transition against siege tanks and thors is flooding lurkers, since you have the hydras anyway.
