I started playing a week ago and found you the first time I checked for sc2 on twitch. You were in bronze doing the bronze to plat thing, it was 2AM and I kept watching, despite work the next day. I'm hooked and I think it was the peeeeeerfect start for me, since I know all the _essentials_ now, and the future knowledge will have a good grounding to go from. Started playing ranked and I got ranked bronze, but I should've won all games so far. I just got countered eventually in the games and then didn't know what to build. I went mass hydra against mass tanks etc... that's going to be experience, but YOU made a real sc2 fan of me, which I wanted to say thank you for!

But truthfully, that's still mostly for entertainment or seeing cool stuff some people can do, but I'm still just busy with droning and the basics. Let alone that I have to read units descriptions on enemies to see what they have, since I only really know Zerg so far. But that journey is still sooo fun, completely new game, new genre for me. I got to plat on my 3rd day playing by just hard cheesing, then on r/AllThingsZerg someone told me that if I wanted to get truly good at the game I should check out ViBE. I’m completely addicted to these videos, his 2018 series, and the daily streams. I can’t believe I waited all this time to get into Starcraft

In 8 weeks in 678 games, from never having played starcraft before I managed to hit Platinum on all three races! Thank you! I never would have had the confidence to pick up this game and play on competitive without your awesome tutorials. :D Now I will be sticking with Zerg and seeing if I can dare to reach Diamond ^^

At 1:17:39... I can't believe you defended that canon rush in such a simple way! It got to the point where I would just gg out when I saw they were canon-rushing me. I tried the ravager thing, but if you click directly on the canon, they move close and die eventually.
So I watched the series up to this point and I just played, and won, my first placement match. It was quite difficult to keep the overview and to juggle all the drones around as they mined out expansions faster and faster. But my economy was huge! I had like 10k unspend ressources(something I should work on). My opponent went for corruptors for no reason, so I just pumped hydras, like you did. By the time he attacked with hydras, corruptors and zerglings I had a full 2/2 hydra army and I beat my opponent quite easily. I noticed that I did panic and certain points when my opponent attacked though. But you said "make drones", so I made drones. And everything turned out well enough. There's still a lot of work for me to do, I noticed many things I can improve on. Your guide helped me so much already. I played during WoL and hots, but I never made it into Gold rank. Now I am confident that I can go there if I apply what I learned here.
Nice, im doing the same thing and ended up in plat 3 with 9 wins and 5 losses. I still dont really have the fundamentals down, but i seem to be winning which is a good thing. Here I am watching plat 3 to diamond while i still struggle with his silver/gold vids. O well lets see how it goes haha

This first game was funny to watch live. Everyone else in chat was saying hes dead and doesnt know what hes doing. Was funny to watch what they said after. BTW: 2021 update. The 3 queen inject is obsolete. Make 1 queen per base. Even for macro hatches. But not recommended to have more then 6 inject only queens. Once have enough tumors on map turn creep queens into injectors. Enjoy. Kay
The thing is, he counted it I think or it was someone on Reddit. The spawn rates for hatcheries and injects are actualy the same, timewise. So it does not matter if you have an extra hatchery or extra inject. But attention is also a resource so just having a hatchery without a queen is not requiring any attention and that is good. Its all these armchair generals, watching Serral play and then being smart as fuck about everything. While in reality, you should only play as Serral when you are as good as Serral. Otherwise, its much better to play according to your level. Which is something Twitch Chat will never understand.
Finally climbed to Plat! Took 220 games to get here from being placed in Silver 3. Looks like I have a hell of alot to learn for this rank, almost 13 hours of footage to watch :D
damn im on a 10 games win streak after i binged the series from the beginning. never actually thought about the droney bois being so important. now i slam opponents and watch score screen and see they made 30 worker and i laugh haha thats was me
55:30 - 1:02:35 explains the monolith, ah ha moment for scouting and having timers in your head for other races including your own and what can be accomplished when if at full efficiency, both from you and from them. great example, watch it a few times. ~diamond hots player here
I've come from the Terran series to mine these videos for examples/analysis of scouting. Especially to get the skinny on what Zergs think when they scout me. See you on the ladder, nerds. :P
He's building the spine crawlers and losing drones, so he's building the 4 drones and then rallying them to the mineral line. Building 4 more spines, selecting hatcheries, building 4 drones, rallying to mineral line. Hes just replacing the drones he's using to make spines and is leaving the larva unspent so he can replace the next set of drones in the next mineral line.
Just wondering how you deal with probes that follow your canceled nat drone to other bases and proceed to cannon at the other bases you're trying to build? Should I build lings to attack the probe?
The first game I played I got smurfed by a terran who multi prong harassed me with marine drops and liberators at all 3 of my bases, and then later nuked every single base of mine and my army. For my first game it was pretty demoralising...
Try to wait until as many cannons are up as possible, then cancel, ya. There are some rare cases, if you're seeing an early probe and expecting the cannon rush, that you can do the drone attack response and have it work out. I'd say that's more iffy and could screw you easier than the Ravager response. 3 drones as soon as a cannon starts will kill it, so use 4-5 on each cannon. Taking this many drones off mining is what could screw you if you don't end up getting them all.
I love these videos. I think to do the level of analysis you are doing at the plat level, you may need to play a lot of games. Probably more than the number that you will play by promoting quickly.
Thanks, you got me to plat 3! But now I'm really struggling to have fun, either my opponent is actually plat and my macro generally wins or I defend their cheese well, or my opponent is a D1 smurf and crushes me. This makes games pretty unenjoyable (either crush my oponnent or get crushed) with no similar skill games.
I tried to make it as real as possible but I agree with you, it was annoying to play as well. I have already put this into consideration for the next series I would make.
@@ViBElol so for us that don't know how to well use the camera hot keys, is there a general idea that medium skilled players like myself could start practicing? I just made it to platinum 2 with all the tips until gold 1 in this amazing (AMAZING!!!) series. However, reading that it's annoying to play without camera hotkeys makes me worried that I'm missing out on an important part of the gameplay for continued success 😬. I'm struggling with deciding what are smart spots to set them.
@@JonatanWentzel set can 1-4 on your first 4 hatcheries and use them for injecting. He has a new video in the 2021 series for gold level(seperate vod) about camera hotkeys as well

You can tell low league players have been watching Vibe B2GM. Even bronze league macro is waaaay better than the last series.

Why sometimes he does 16 hatch, sometimes 17 hatch? I didn't heard the explanation. 16 for zerg 17 for other races?
Because spending larva is the priority. If it spawns he makes a drone

No, it would start losing every game against Terran around Platinum/Diamond. It wouldn't make it through Master's very well, in general.

You can control the color it displays to you in Options, I don't remember exactly where. In Neuro's bronze to GM series he changes it every few games.
