The thing I love about The Price is Right are the extremely heightened emotions of the contestants. The excitement of contestants winning have not changed in the 45 years between this episode and now. :)
U bet! Janice created the modeling technique back in 72' when the show started with her, Anitra, and Bob. Janice has the personality, class, and elegance. She was the only reason i watched
I watched it with my dad especially when he got sick and stopped working. We'd watch it every day before I went to work. Or when I was much younger and he worked the afternoon shift
+Paul Duca Heh, I didn't even notice that. They would only do something like that on Let's Make a Deal, but it was the exact same car. I didn't know the Nova was that popular....probably trying to push it out there since the Mexico "No va" disaster.
I was there and I remember it before it had the green section so for me it’s the reverse or it was the reverse for quite a long time until it became normal I know I spent a lot of summers in front of the TV watching the price is right at least like 76 7778
Makes sense... I asked since I recall reading somewhere about a player guessing 0 and the real number being 7 (or vice versa), and Bob salvaging the loss by saying the player only owed $3

Year 2018 now & TPiR is still on air. Man how time flies so fast?!? You'll never grow tired of watching this game show. Luv it!
Bob Barker and Bill Cullen were much better hosts than Drew, though.
Thanks for posting these old episodes. Great memories.
I love that old "come on down!" music.
this is the best episode of TPIR that i have ever watched

Poor Guadalupe! Beautiful!
oldiesmusic76 This broke me down 😣
God, she needs to stop the misery swooning and cheer up!
@@amandajstar I know right?? She's crying more than a winner in the Miss USA pageant!
@@zabadazidit She was just overcome with emotions
Oh my god, the 70s look like they were a great time to be alive. Too bad I was born in the 90s lol
The 70s had their fair share of problems for sure, but you gotta admit (for the most part) Television, movies, and music were tops.
Maybe not better ? But simpler for sure, so in my eyes, BETTER.
Except for the cr*p furniture : )
For white folk.
I just turned 4 years old days before!
My mother loved The Price Is Right we were fond of Johnny Olsen too
Loved watching this with mom. Wish she and I could have attended a taping.

RIP Bob Barker :(:::::
Finally, glad to have a non-WIN-TV copy of this ep, thanks
4:33 Ah, the 1976 Chevrolet Nova. We had that model car until 1987
+millenniumman75 First time I've ever seen them offer the same model car twice in an episode...
+Paul Duca Heh, I didn't even notice that. They would only do something like that on Let's Make a Deal, but it was the exact same car. I didn't know the Nova was that popular....probably trying to push it out there since the Mexico "No va" disaster.
@@tomservo56954 One was a base model, the other was the top line Concours.
It's so weird to see the Big Wheel WITHOUT The Green Sections OR Bonus Spins.
You should have seen the original wheel...it spun clockwise instead of like a slot machine and the wheel was much smaller.

@@naturesfinest4871 I was about to say- the original 1975 wheel wasn’t that shabby but this wheel is better
Yea that didn't debut til December 1978
"Did you grow up on a farm? Did you do a lot of plowing? Ah, that's how you got strong."
Oh, Bob.
9:47 My mom loved Anchor's Amber color in the 70's. It was very elegant looking for the time.
Guadeloupe was so happy and so were her friends when she wo the pool table and tv and pinball machine.
Thanks, Jon.
Hope you enjoy your vacation.
Side-note, but do you have any favorite TPIR models past or present? Mine's is Holly Hallstrom (1977-1995).
Dian Parkinson...Janice Pennington was great too during the first few years.
Anitra!
This is the same date Johnny Yong Bosch was born!
Nice.
@@TheManny717 And three months before _Full House_ queen Candace Cameron (a.k.a. DJ Tanner) was born.
Makes sense... I asked since I recall reading somewhere about a player guessing 0 and the real number being 7 (or vice versa), and Bob salvaging the loss by saying the player only owed $3
Well, since a zero usually represents nothing, I'd have them give the number difference (ex. 1 for 1, 2 for 2, etcetera).
Past: Chantel Dubay
Present: No idea.
What the heck happened to that poor girl, she looked so sad the whole time....
Happy birthday
Well, that's a rarity... a 0 in Lucky Seven... how would you handle a wrong guess in that case, as far as deciding how much the contestant owes?
@1:12 dem teeth look like mah uncle Earl's teeth, only his aren't white.
Almost 50 years ago and some contestants still act a fool. SMH...
