There's a Warhammer 40k chess game in steam (10 USD). You don't simply lose a character, rather when a character is lost their chainsawed, shot, blown up exc. lol. Its kind of like the harry potter movie scene of chess but much better.

Imagine doing a full body 3D print? Yeah it would take a long time but think of the possibilities! You could paint it to look like you, put your clothes on it, and scare the absolute crap out of people. It would be hilarious.

Hey pro tip for removing supports without leaving dents and damages, after cleaning but before curing you can put the model into warm to hot water and leave it in there for a moment, then when you take it out, if you have your support settings dialed in you should be able to just take them off without any isses. 3D Printing Pro is a great channel to learn support placement and settings from

And the wonderful world of painfull cleanup and smelly fumes(maybe not on his printer)
@@thomasschoonwater3390 all resin printers have some fumes to deal with. it recommended to print in a ventilated area, However a lot of the new resins are less stinky. You do want to have a dedicated area for the clean up. You will use a lot of gloves. wile uncured resin is toxic if you take proper precautions it is fine. It also helps if you get a good work flow for the clean up. example before working with the resin coated parts put your PPE on, get all of your clean up and curing stations set up, don't be afraid to toss a glove if you need to work with something you don't want the resin on and then put a new one on. I like to use the large silicon mats since it is easy to clean those off and you can take the mats out side to cure any residue you missed. The cleaning and cure stations are nice to have and really help keep the mess down in my opinion. ( I don't have form printer but I do have a moai and several msla printers, I do have a anycubic was and cure station as well as a heated ultrasonic cleaner ). always properly dispose of contaminated IPA(or other cleaner). for ipa after it stops really cleaning the resin you can set it aside , let the ipa evaporate and then cure the residue. that being said the details on the resin prints are impressive and with some of the new larger resin printers you can do even larger prints. There is a bit of a learning curve on how to do supports on resin prints but I really think it is worth it for the detailed prints you can get. for some more tips look and uncle jessie (th-cam.com/users/xboxfitnesstest) and 3d printing pro (th-cam.com/channels/bv2mDrRqXovPdahRyoCFhA.html)

You need to buy a jeweler’s microscope and finish the smallest sized 3D print.

So you can basically 3D print a city at this point.
Honestly one of the best uses for a 3D printer in terms of tabletop games is for small scale wargames. Epic 40,000 has seen a large increase in popularity in recent years because people can print their armies instead of having to scour Ebay for out of production models. What used to cost $100+ in pewter minis now costs $25 using a resin printer.

Hey, Jazza, I'd recommend removing the supports after cleaning but before curing. The supports come off real clean, meaning considerably less sanding and whatnot. Have fun with your printer!
I would love to see Jazza try Sumi drawing. It has a completely different style of holding the brush compared to normal drawing.

I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.
Even though i'm not particularly interested in any of this I just love seeing Jazza geek out over VR, sculpting and 3D printing and that's why his videos are so entertaining to me, he genuinely loves showing us all of these cool stuff :)

I find, before curing your print, if you wash a model in 99.99% IPA then wash it in warm soapy or non soapy water (your choice) for a minuet or two, taking off the supports will be easier with very little to no pock marks where the supports were connected. :D

@@NightMind0 before. The point of washing it with IPA is to get rid of excess liquid resin. If you cure it with that excess on, you will get weird drips solidified to the model.

Jazza, some tricks I've learned from my experience resin printing!
Keep in mind most of this is relevant to 28mm scale minis
Longer exposure times with finer supports are amazing. Most pre-supported models will fail if you print them with default settings, and I find that they only really start succeeding at 45seconds +
That said, you can get away with fairly middle of the road layer heights. I find a tray of 30mm-ish tall minis takes around 8 hours
The second and far more important tip I can offer:
When you pull your print off the plate. Place it in the ultrasonic cleaner as usual, but before you harden the supports, [!!Make sure to wear nitrile gloves for this as the resin isn't set yet!!] put it into some hot water (not quite hot enough to burn yourself). The whole model will soften, and your (if you heed the first bit of advice, rather small) supports will simply peel off! Much fewer zits where removing supports chips out part of the model and MUCH much quicker cleanup times! Simply harden after and I often find myself hard pressed to find any support zits

Pro tip: After removing the print from the build plate, do a quick rinse in IPA (alcohol) and then submerge the print in hot (not quite boiling) water for about 10-15 seconds. The supports will fall right off of the print without leaving hardly any scarring at all. Very little cleanup and way easier than snipping all of the supports off!

For me, at least, removing the supports after washing and before curing seems to work better. Also, you might want to pick up a Plastic Razor Blade Scraper to remove models from the build plate. The blades are much sharper than those on the plastic spatula I got with my printer and they're also replaceable.
ETA: I've painted entire armies of 6mm figures. You can do more with them than seems reasonable before you try it. IME, painting tiny minis actually helps my painting of larger figs too.

There are 6mm miniature games. Check out the old and discontinued "epic 40k" as an example, but just searching "6mm miniature games" will find quite a few things.
So, the answer is - yes, we can and do paint miniatures at that scale.

Yes, you can paint miniatures that small. I regularly paint 1:160 scale figures. I use a rubber brush so there is no bristle going wild and wrecking the paint. Very nice print for those!!

Video Idea: With this massive sense of scale you can achieve, you could do a Kaiju scene diorama, with the humans and their buildings printed super tiny. Just think of all the detail painting you could do!
Aside from the interesting content, so much of my enjoyment of your videos comes from seeing you enjoying yourself. This video really encapsulated that feeling for me. Thank you for all that you do, Jazza.

I've loved your channel for a long time, and even more now with all your "normal" random stuff, but also WARHAMMER!!! Though I play Fantasy still, I can still appreciate a lot of the 40k stuff you're doing! Massive shout-out and can't wait to see more! :D
I also love seeing people do more stuff with 3D printing, especially combined with Warhammer, there are SO many cool things you can make to fit Warhammer armies or like you seem to be doing: custom chapters etc. I really hope to get into 3D printing myself one day!
To finish off I'll just give you a tip when it comes to showing print quality: though most people wanna see the "vanilla print" with all the details etc, the surface of the resin is usually very shiny and loads of details/potential layer-lines can get "lost" in that, especially on camera with the lighting required for it to look good. In the future you could show the straight out printed version like you did here, but also prime one with a grey/matte black primer to REALLY show all the details in all their glory! I know that wasn't the full intent of this video and it's so refreshing and inspiring to see how excited you are, you grown man-child! I hope I will be just as excited whenever I get around to do some 3D printing as well! Be safe and keep bringing awesome vids, Jazza!!! :D
