    As an oil operator, H2S is the number 1 threat in our industry, carrying a personal h2s detector is a must, never rely on your sense of smell, because of you can smell it you're fine ' low concentration" the issue is when you can't smell it because the h2s concentration is high, that's why carrying a detector all the time is a must.
    If you ever work in an area where h2s exposure is potential, you need to always know where the wind direction is and evacute upwind or crosswind if a leak happens.

    I work with sewer and was exposed to a very high concentration, and I must say contradictive your video there was absolutely no irritation. I couldn't smell a thing but within about 15-20 seconds I felt extremely light headed we evacuated the area and felt fine after about another 30 seconds

      It literally said you can't smell it at times, and you can't rely on your senses to detect it. 😂

      I was contradicting to it irritating my nose or eyes which it did not, he claimed that high concentration it cause nose eye lung pain. He only said u lose the ability to smell it input my comment here because with my experience this video is serverly mis leading at least in my circumstance

      Once you can't smell it means your smell receptors are all burnt out by the sulphuric acid. It's deadly.

    This video is very informative. I would like to add a twist to H2S conversation. In moderation, it's great for the body with the H2S compound found in garlic, onions and other foods. It could work great in improving the cardiovascular system.

      Yeah i seen doctor stone but i heard of it befor. The arctic is melting and that is messing with the jet streams and that messes with the wind and that messes with ocean currents and that messes with ocean oxygen and a stagnate ocean will produce so much H2S that everything will die! But we will likely die because of heat from the methane CH4 at the bottom of the arctic ocean! If some survive that they wont survive H2S.

    • @Iamfaithrowley
      @Iamfaithrowley ปีที่แล้ว

      @@media6969 I just realized that I never clarified in the first comment, we were actually in our family motorhome at the time. As it turns out, we had overcharged our batteries, which can lead to the production of hydrogen sulfide which would explain the smell. We replaced the batteries, and all is well now! The sad news is that the situation was entirely avoidable because we didn’t check our batteries before we left on that trip and they were completely bone dry when we opened them. Now we know better! 😂

      Many of the benefits of raw garlic are due to hydrogen sulfide. You shouldn’t consume actual H2S, but garlic lowers high blood pressure, and is anti-inflammatory, among other positive effects because of the liberation of this substance. That’s why I eat multiple raw cloves a day, and I think anyone who can stomach the wasabi-like spiciness should too. Food of the gods
