I work in the oilfield as a vacuum truck driver in south texas going from lease to lease loading up with produced water from the tank batteries and yes h2s is no joke , we are exposed to it every day.

I hauled sand boxes for fracking in Texas . I haven't seen a lot of h2s instances but you hear all the time of rigs getting hit with it. Some scary stuff

There's not as much in the eagleford as there is here in west tx. You'll see tank batteries that are only 2 years old rusted out looking like they're 20 years old just because of h2s. And I'll still see guys going on top of tanks without SARs or SCBA or even monitors and opening up the thief hatches.

I live in an area high in oil and natural gas production. Some days the air is so pungent it makes you sick. It gets trapped inside the homes in the area. I have invested lots of $$ in high end air purifies using activated carbon to combats the smell in my home. Someone needs to be held accountable for the illness and death caused by this gas. Most people in our area are unaware of the dangers. BTW, I live in Texas so if your considering moving here ...,. don't. I'm so very sorry for the family in this video but I can assure you they are not alone. I have developed a tremor which is a result of low level exposure over a long period of time. Please be aware of your surroundings and educate yourself and others of the dangers N2S.

I hate to tell you this, but those air filters catch larger dust particulates but will not do anything about gas molecules.

Seriously? The only one that is ultimately responsible after the company trains you about H2S? It's called COMMON SENSE. I've been involved with it for over 30 yrs. One deadly fact is, ROTTEN EGGS? MASK UP IMMEDIATELY. 😵
