You want to talk about setting the bar for being an elite musician. The female ambassador to heavy metal if there ever was one. There is no other musician on the planet that gives me goosebumps like Miyako. The woman is in a league of her own, imho. Most impressive, a genuine, humbled person who does everything with CLASS and truly appreciates her fans! A classy woman in heavy metal is absolutely awesome. She's trained on piano since age 3. Self taught guitar at 18. Virtuoso. Well done guys! 🤘
Miyako is a generational talent who is a virtuoso on BOTH the guitar and piano. She was classically-trained on the piano since she was 3. She only picked up the guitar when she was 18 and she taught herself how to play that instrument with some learn-it-yourself books. This piano piece is Miyako's interpretation and reimagination of Helloween's "Eagle Fly Free". The track is part of her debut piano EP "Étude Op.23", which contains 6 piano covers of famous metal/rock songs. Miyako mentioned that she wanted to showcase how metal and classical music are closely related via her piano EP. Helloween is a German power metal band, and Eagle Fly free is one of their classic tracks. Miyako has totally reimagined the track. Amazing. 🤘🎸🐺
Luckily for all of us the introduction of the guitar and heavy metal music were the reason Miyako didn’t choose to be a professional pianist today.. She’s truly a musical savant! 🎶

Miyako began piano lessons at 3 yo, not unusual in Japan. What were you doing when you were 3 yo?? Kanami and Misa also took piano lessons beginning at 3. Misa didn't stay with it went to guitar route.
Miyako self taught herself to play the guitar at 18 yo. I believe she went into Metal Music because she wanted to compose and the classical world isn't particularly friendly to female composer.
Have you guys checked out Miyako's YT channel?? The trick, is to watch without becoming mesmerized by her beauty.
One down, 5 more to go on her EP released last year.
The whole LP is just a stunning experience with how she converted some great metal songs into classical piano pieces. I hope she chooses to do another LP of piano pieces soon. That genius savant brain of hers needs to be challenged, being a mother, a lead guitarist of Lovebites, a composer and musical arranger of songs for the band, a concert level pianist, a gear nerd and Star Wars fanatic isn't enough.....LOL. This woman will either inspire you to do better or just intimidate you into quitting....LOL!!!!!

Outstanding music paired with a completely new and individual approach: typical Míyako. She is an outstanding artist. Just to know her music, is a privilege. And to know, that she also plays guitar, bass guitar and drums _and_ has a beautiful (back-up) voice, is very promising: She could release own solo albums with band sound, if every day had 48 hours. Unbelievable. 🐺💮
Eagle Fly Free is a track by Helloween. LOVEBITES do a great cover of it in the same vein as the original. Miyako's version is obviously quite different but it's her arrangement for the piano that shows what a great skill she has. She learnt piano way before she learnt to play guitar. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
