    Sean is a total gem. Incidentally, I happen to agree with most things he hates!

    I take my hat off to you. The bravery and élan that you have as an actor is something we can all appreciate. Being an actor isn't something that any schmuck can do, like being a soldier or doctor. Being a good actor takes thousands of hours of intense training and studying. If all actors went on strike, every facet of society would crumble away. I hate listening to war veterans whine about how traumatizing war is, I feel like saying "If you think that was hard, try being an actor!"
    lol jk

    if anyone has ever watched 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Jimmy sometimes mockingly calls Sean "grandpa", so Sean being a bit inaccurate as regards the irateness of the Foo Fighters doesn't seem to me such a big surprise

    • @simac3880
      @simac3880 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      "a bit inaccurate as regards the irateness of the Foo Fighters..." If you are trying to be clever, try to make sense, dummy. And the Foo Fighters have been around for 20 years (when you wrote this comment). Lock was in his 20's when they started making their derivative shit - i'm guessing you were a little boy.

      @@simac3880 uhh, I think he's saying that when Sean Locke called them 'aggressive thrash metal' that he was way off the mark. Why are you being so condescending?

    About band t-shirts... Once when I was in H&M or some other shit shop I heard a teenage girl say, and I shit you not, "I love Guns N' Roses t-shirts. Aren't they a band or something?"

    • @ajivins1
      @ajivins1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I hope you corrected her! The best I heard was in a charity shop when one girl grabbed a DVD and said to her friend, "Look, they've got 'Titanic!" and her chum enquired, "What's that about?" I held-in the laughter but they saw me shaking and I left...

      +James Wheeler A girl wearing a Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon T-shirt told me the other day "yeah, I love them! I mean not the band, I've never listened to them, but I know they're a band and I love the design!"

      +James Wheeler Classic! as well as the other replies, I cherish moments like that, they just don't happen enough. One that springs to mind is where Martin freeman asks Tim Lovejoy about his Ramones T-Shirt, Squirm? yes he did.

      A friend of my daughter delighted in wearing a Slipknot T-Shirt and proclaimed herself a "massive fan". My missus was banging out a bit of Slipknot when she came to visit one day and when asked if she liked it (and knowing that the missus is a big Springsteen fan) replied "Yeah.Who is it, Bruce Springsteen?" Teenagers are twats! :D

    The guy who crapped in a towel and threw it into the crowd at Reading Festival was The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist in 2002. I was there, couldn't believe my eyes, especially when the audience threw it back on stage and he proceeded to open it up and smear it across his chest. Absolutely disgusting.

    • @chinamanandfriends
      @chinamanandfriends 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I shudder to ask... was it during Mike Patton's run as the vocalist? Because I wouldn't entirely be surprised if that was him. He's a musical savant, but he's a little off his rocker.

    • @mudhut1967
      @mudhut1967 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bob Shatner Mike Patton was never their vocalist, he just co-wrote and guest appeared on an EP with them. But yes, I believe it was around that period so maybe his influence rubbed off on them. I read somewhere once that Mike Patton crapped inside a hairdryer in a hotel room, leaving it to a poor unsuspecting L7 who were due to stay in the same room after Faith No More. Grim.

    • @chinamanandfriends
      @chinamanandfriends 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomas Cox Thanks for the info man, and yeah it slipped my mind while typing earlier that he was only a guest vocalist (and a temporary stand-in for a short while too, I think?). Anyway your hairdryer story, is hilarious. Though probably not very funny to the next room guest. Hahaha.

    • @1984Oranje
      @1984Oranje 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomas Cox I seen them at T in the Park about the same sort of time and they done it then too. Before that though, the singer threw a can of Red Bull very far into the crowd. It hit a guy who wasn't watching on the head, he collapsed instantly and there was fair bit of blood. Stupid thing to do

    It was basically a troll. He apparently said 'I'm gonna prepare you all for what you're gonna be seeing for the rest of the day'. But yeah because most of the lineup was shitty emo/indie bands and Dillinger were getting a lot of stick, he just tried to annoy everyone there.

    @MXCRT5 You realize you're making his point for him? Actors are everywhere. They blather about how hard it is. The truth is anyone who isn't nervous in front of a camera can act, which is why so many models, musicians, and comedians make the transition to acting so easily.

    I agree with Sean that merchandising does often get out of control but when it comes to band shirts, I tend to disagree. I wear band shirts because I think it's a good way to support the band (in addition to buying their music), not because of some bizarre fantasy to get on stage and perform with them.
