I like this model, I think it’s the one for me. Thank you for the detailed review, especially the dog issue. We will happily accept that potential problem. 😊
Soo, im just curious. Ill probably never get one because my yard is pretty large. But, considering it just randomly roams around the yard and not in straight lines, does it leave lines in the grass? Like, when i cut my grass, i use a driving lawn mower. So, the weight of the tractor is what causes the lines in the yard. I try to keep them as straight as possible because thats what people notice. The pattern. But, this would eliminate the lines and just make the yard look like for example, a shaggy rug with no lines, correct?
Yeah you loose the lines but the finish is awesome. I just visited a house with a massive lawn that used one of the 415x 's big brother and it looked phenomenal
I probably should have asked this under the other video, but is there any risk of the 4 legged members of the family disturbing / chewing the live wire (presumably avoided by the professional sub surface installation)?
Great question. Our dogs didn't show any interest in it. But maybe it could be a concern with a puppy. The grass should grow over it in a few weeks though.

I bought a 415X last summer, and had it professionally installed. I can live with the random cutting routine, but I'm disappointed with ithe cutting height adjustment. We have zoysia grass that looks best when cut to 3 inches. The 415X mower will only cut at a maximum of 2" which is too short. The lawn looks like it has been scalped 😡😡😡 I should have been more careful when selecting an Automower model.
Wake up to a perfectly manicured lawn? Not when you still have to go out and manually trim the edges. I wonder if they’ll ever design these with internal string trimmers to tackle the edges. Between the app and the wire, it should know where the trimming is needed.
I've had one so far 2 or 3 months and I can tell you my neighbors probably think a schizophrenic loves here, with all the patches of grass everywhere 😂🤣
Thanks for all your hard work, Erin. Here's so I don't have to feel guilty enjoying your videos for free. You have found your groove 👍

I would have to have it go over a walkway are they capable of going over to get to the other side?Thankyou!
Thanks for the review. avoiding this model like the plauge. random mowing and the need for a boundary wire.. no thanks
Its Great mower. Idk why that’s a deal breaker but ok
Thanks Erin.

I had a 430X for a few years now, and I’ve had chipmunks and squirrels chew through the wire, but it is an easy fix to repair.
What if i have a fence yard

Excellent review! As usual: concise, complete, and from a user perspective.
I only need to get myself a house with a lawn to test the mower 🥲
