You tell em Hampton!!!! I am a combat veteran who is former Army. And I've been doing security for 7 years now. Just because others don't take the trade craft seriously, doesn't mean the rest should think the same. I have been in several life or death situations and I'm glad that I had equipment comparable to law enforcement.
some people dont want to become police officers because of the rep thelocal pd has or they dont like the uniform color , or little stuff . Armed security is most definently needed in high risk areas where police officers cannot be 24/7 , being able to run to an armed guard instead of waiting 20 minutes for cops to find you in housing areas is ideal . get off him . some people also like the " freedom " they have in selecting what they use , for an example i dont like the look of Long Beach P.D , so i wouldnt join the force because of their strict uniform policy that wouldnt personally be comfortable to me . so im choosing to join LASD instead . If he wanted to become a police officer , he would , or he will when he gets accepted . Either way hes doing a good thing helping people out , keep making these videos man , great set up , one of my favorites .
i would definitely move that leatherman to one side or the other. In the small of your back is going to become a problem if you get bent backwards or fall on it. Just a little helpful hint.
nice video. i was thinking about doing armed security next year when I get my pistol permit. Btw you look like u could be one of the guards that drives the armored trucks in gta5 cause your whole set up resembles what they wear lol👌
Move the Leatherman to your vest or somewhere else. Don't carry anything solid near your lower back, if you fall you can easily cause nerve damage or a fracture!
This is by far my favorite Security EDC video. I just dig your setup man and you as a person just seem like an awesome guy. You don't still work Security, do you?
+nightprowlerch19 in a way i fill safer in australia in the fact that early any security guard carry guns to me personally it gives me a confidence because in my opinion a security guard isn't as open minded as a police officer.
Cool video , I’m in Security and use a level 3 plate carrier. I’m not taking any chances and also a full size large bar LEo large. I’m seriously considering video recording when I make contacts because it’s for safety of both parties. I carry a Glock 23 it lighter packing same punch. In cow town we pretty much have to make our own way. Most LEOs don’t like it when you look a little more suited up than them.
We have a lot of ex military entering the private sector now. When military veterans get home, many of them need to immediately find jobs and for the majority of them that didn't get their Bachelor's degrees, they decided to slip into the security uniform and make cash similar to what they did in the military. Patrol perimeters, protect people from hostiles, defend a premises from attacks. Only this time our enemy are no longer a terrorist organization, this time our enemies are street gangs and criminals. Matter of fact, many private military contractors who conduct security in Afghanistan retired from the military then became security officers which is how they found out about such work. Stay safe night prowler, screw the internet commandos, they're all talk until they run into you. ;)
Nice load out! The only thing I would add that I carry is nitrile or latex gloves and either a full IFAK or just a simple tourniquet. I carry both as I work at a college and all the mass shootings have put me on edge. I wear a level 4 rifle plate in my front plate carrier pocket, so I would really only need the tourniquet if I'm hit in the arm or leg. The IFAK has a #28 NPA with lube, 4" Izzy, duct tape, sharpie, tampon, chest seal and a roll of kerlix. Just food for thought. Cheers!
Tbh this is more badass than a cop, the name armed Private security doesn't just sound badass but this looks like the people you would see in a video game.
I am about to become a commissioned security in Houston, Texas. I have the exact same plate carrier like you sir, the sad thing is that my company won't allow me to wear it, but a soft body armor. Nice loadout, nice video. Thanks for your hard work for the community
Damn dude! I work security in Michigan and barely carry anything! The only reason I even have pepper spray is because it makes me and some of my guys feel a bit better. Idk what kinda site you're at though, I'm only an off campus college housing site, and there's 4 of us on every night, so I guess we really don't need to run armed.
I just completed my courses to do armed security. Also did the baton certification. I will likely get the taser certification once I get working. Any tips for a new guy? I'd prefer to work directly with a client with their PPO license. What are the odds of landing something like that? Something like a nightclub is ideal.
Wow great setup man. I would have thought you were border patrol or something man. Lots of equipment and you look sharp. I do federal security and I have about everything you have except we were issued M&P .40's but no taser. We're not allowed to carry tasers in my state. Would be nice tho. Don't listen to all the jobless haters on here. I make more than several police officers around the country do I'm sure you do as well.
Great video. some people would say your setup is overkill but the main thing to remember is that security guards have some of the same inherent risks as police officers depending on what their assignment is and usually make less than cops (which isn't a lot to begin with either) so at the end of the day everyone in a protection capacity or law enforcement deserves to go home to their family when their shift is over. Do whatever you have to do in order to make that possible.
I like the video. Especially the streamlight flashlight. With mine, it came via Amazon with the infra red feature though that I don't really have any need for. (although that was not exactly what I wanted but I kept it) Thanks.
If I lived in California and I weren’t a Game Warden like I’m right now in Mississippi, I would carry these largest reasonable caliber I could since it is a 10 round limit. It would probably be a Springfield armory 45 or the glock 21.
Be safe out there bro working those section 8. I'm a armed guard patrol driver I've been in my first shoot out with thugs that live in ther. I get a call from someone saying suspicious activity so I get their an not even 5 feet from the entrance all I see is flashes an hearing BANG BANG it was some scary shit luckily I was able to respond quickly an return fire an call 911 at the same time. Be safe
Do you have or could you make a video for your carrier? I'm in the market for a new one and your's looks pretty good my current one isn't a molle platform and I'd like the liberty of putting what i want where I want.
What plate carrier is that, name and model please? Looks a bit similar to Condor Operator 2 but I know it isn't lol.. Been thinking about getting that specific plate carrier my self with AR500 Plates including the sides. Any thought's on that carrier? How about yours, any issues with it?
get a video on it called First Choice armor. tried to copy the link but I don't know how to do it on my phone. you should be able to find it easy. honestly I don't know a lot about plate carriers. the only problem I ever had with this one was the velcro ripped up my uniform shirts.
+nightprowlerch19 yeah I checked your channel literally right after I asked that question lol. I think I'm going to go with the mayflower carrier though. thanks for such a fast response partner.
Hey dude, awesome set up.... more security/police officers should have your gear as standard equipment. BTW, what is the brand/model soft armor & plate carrier Molle vest? I need one soon, you gave me some great ideas on rearranging my duty rig. Since your video, I purchased the Streamlight Sidewinder, compact version. I too work at night and its difficult to hold a flashlight while checking IDs. Great video, stay safe.
Nice setup, wish my dept. could afford freaking Tasers. One suggestion, move that multi-tool from the small of your back. Many careers have been ended due to spinal injuries from trauma caused by whatever's back there. You may have to run a dropleg holster for the X2 to free up some room. There are a lot of haters on here but none of them do what YOU have to do on a daily basis. I thought security officers got a tough rap before I got into law enforcement haha Great vid brother and be safe.
yeah everybody was saying the same thing about the multi tool so I moved it. sucks that your department doesn't have the funds for Tasers for your own safety sometimes you just gotta pony up the money yourself. if you look on the used market you could probably pick up an X 26 for a good price I imagine
Nice video and impressive setup, keep up the good work. P.S. Nice uniform , where you work and how much they pay you plus how can I become one ? I mean requirements apart from the license.
No problem here about your rig. I'm sure if citizen needs help you'll be prepared to do what you have to do in order to protect both yourself & the citizen. Don't let the haters throw you off your game , I worked security many years & I never thought I'd need any heavy gear compliment but was thankful I had just enough when a few incidents did get a bit hairy. Some people think a security officer isn't too risky for them to assault VS LEO , as they believe they're an easier target to prove how tough they are. Stay safe ............ Cordially , Nick , fmr residence security for Joe Montanas place when he worked for 49ers.
Rob Pridemore okay well let's see your setup . I'll go ahead and subscribe and wait for the video. You can show everybody your setup. And then when everybody shoots off their criticisms .
Rob Pridemore I've noticed there's a lot of TH-cam know-it-alls. And when you say go ahead and show me what you're talking about never see the videos. So I don't have a problem with criticism what I have a problem with is armchair quarterback and backseat drivers who make comments but don't show any videos backing anything up. And it's really easy for people to say get a different flashlight get a different baton carry this don't carry that.
nightprowler I'm not a pro, every thing I told you I've learned from people that have been training good people to kill bad people for decades. You just need good training from a reputable instructor and learn the pros to keeping your back clear and replacing a huge spike on your side with some Sabre red and why surefire is a light you can stake your life on and why tourniquets are the minimum when carrying a gun.
nice setup video.. i do armed security myself... yours is one of the better vids in terms of security edc. where did u buy your sidewinder light been looking for one.. thanks stay safe
in the video I'm wearing a 511 operator belt. it's a thick heavy stiff belt you could use that built just for doing light duty stuff. if all you need to do is carry a gun in handcuffs it'll do that just fine. I only own one belt and that's the belt I always wear for everything . if I go camping if I go hiking if I go to the movies that's the belt I wear
Hey about to get into security but unarmed now I'm done in Florida , maybe different laws but as unarmed meaning NO GUN ,but that means I can carry a Taser,OC SPRAY,AND BATONS right?
I had a qestion what would you recommend everything you would have on a duty belt on a vest or a duty belt and plate carrier just woundering because I am a Clovis PD explorer I really like your gear though good stuff
Michael Lopez I don't know because different departments will let you do different stuff. some departments won't even let you where A TAC vest. just wear whatever the other officers are carrying.
nightprowlerch19 I had one more qestion when should is it justified to use a tazer or pepper spray just thought I would ask you because I am planing to do security after i finish my police program I appreciate you answering my qestionins
First off, you would have to check with whatever company you work for. They will have policies that you will need to follow. Second, I find it easier to have things on my vest is a lot easier than on my belt. Less weight on my hips and less pain in my lower back. When it comes to less lethal, again you have to look at company policies. Most states dictate you need certain certificates in order to carry less lethal options. Here in Ohio, less lethal force as in Taser, Baton, or OC spray, will be used once hands on does not work. That being said, its all on the situation as well.
what security company do you work for in California that is armed like that i live in California and i have never seen security with that many weapons so what security company do you work for ??
its not that many weapons it is pretty standard. gun baton taser and normally I'd would also be carrying pepper spray but I ran out. everybody freaks out just because they see the vest. but realistically there's no difference between this vest and a concealed vest except for this test is much more comfortable and it gives me extra pockets.
to be absolutely truthful 90% of security sucks. and I wouldn't really recommend it. the hours suck the people suck the money sucks and you're buying all your own gear. it is not glamorous. and you really don't make a difference. so I advise you to do anything other than do security work.
A Glock 22 40 cal. But it seems like everybody I meet they always carry something different. I used to carry a 9-mm 92 Taurus . A Springfield Armory XD 45 and at one point a Springfield Armory 1911 45. It's a huge debate on which caliber to carry. Safe bet 9 mm or 40 and 45 you should be good. But you could also explore 38 Super 357 Sig 357 Magnum 10 mm but that's a little more on the Exotic side.
company was called California housing Patrol. but honestly I'm a little older now and getting your hands dirty doesn't mean you get any more money. it just means you got a lot of people that don't like you. and you have a lot more headaches. just keep that in mind when you go and apply for a real proactive company
Might I recommend the X26 taser it's very good and my favourable taser also why don't you bring some of your equipment down to your thigh with thigh holsters! If you get the X26 taser they do many holsters even ones that fit on your chest!
yeah a GoPro would be better but then everybody would know I'm recording them. to have the drop leg part for that Safariland Holster but I don't like wearing it anymore. the first thing that's annoying about the drop leg holster is if you drive a car with the center console you constantly hit your gun against that. the second thing about a drop leg holster add a lot of weight on your leg when you try to run. the third thing I don't like about a drop leg holster is it's constantly pulling your pants down. you can have like a bazillion keepers on and tighten your under belt really good but eventually that side will start falling down. I ran one for a couple years but it just got annoying. it looks tactical cool as hell. but its just not good for what I was doing lot of walking
I've worked a special event for Soboba casino and they didn't allow us to wear anything. because we were an outside company hired on to do special events. but the actual casino security carried everything but a gun. and it was the same situation with the tribal police in that area everything but a gun.
I guess the point of the story is different casinos and different tribes have different rules about what they want people to wear. I forget what casino it is but it's over and Highland California they only hire people that have passed police academy and they outfit them with everything with the latest gear and weaponry
You tell em Hampton!!!! I am a combat veteran who is former Army. And I've been doing security for 7 years now. Many people here have been in war it semes. You chould start a private army together
you need to carry all that working security? fuck here in canada they give our security guards a radio and say your words are your best weapons
Lol
Yep that's how is here
Actually I work in Canada. And we have weapons and body armor...
aha i bet
lol dammm feel sorry for canada security guard
I wish all security guards/Officers could be like this it looks more professional in my opinion, congrat's man...
"Wannabe cop"??
Sounds to me like he's doing an amazing service for his community!
Keep doing what you're doing.
Great job!
Thanks
Hey thanks man
+Dustin Baldwin lol? "Wannabe cop" that was funny...
Dustin Baldwin he must be
I work as security guard and bouncer, i really like your videos, it has helped me aswell to plann my belt better!

Arresting drunk drivera does, alot of situations are avoided because of police officers dont discredit them *****
DAVID AUBREY very well said.
I prefer privatized security over gestapo
@@ArmedNerd1988 there's always such thing as officer discretion .
i would definitely move that leatherman to one side or the other. In the small of your back is going to become a problem if you get bent backwards or fall on it. Just a little helpful hint.
That is the best EDC ever. Good luck in your career buddy.
Looking sharp. Nice to see your uniform isn't sloppy. I can't stand a sloppy uniform.
This was probably really annoying for the guy trying to take a shit in the background.
hahahahahahha
Louis that’s nasty delete the comment from here now or I’m calling the old police officer. 👮🏼♀️🤢😷
I also work as armed security and this is a very professional looking setup. Keep it up and stay safe my guy.
Great idea placing the sidewinder on your shoulder, Im going to give it a try.
nice video. i was thinking about doing armed security next year when I get my pistol permit. Btw you look like u could be one of the guards that drives the armored trucks in gta5 cause your whole set up resembles what they wear lol👌

Most safari lands are level 2, you could consider his a level 3 with the thumb safety.
Really nice man i love the idea of the phone on your chest. Keep it up man and nice set up.

@Thomas sescoe a 51-50 is a mental subject I work security in a mental health facility
Nice loadout. I like the idea of having your cell on the chest so you can record while in contact with ppl. Well thought out system man.
I just completed my courses to do armed security. Also did the baton certification. I will likely get the taser certification once I get working.

Im 5'4 165lbs and the pcb is pretty heavy 26in wise .. also i wish they could certify individual security certifed in taser
I'm a security officer in the UK. I carry a radio.
Geo Millis awesome cool
Geo Millis I have never been in the uk 🇬🇧
Aled yes
Who makes your plate carrier? Also to add more space on your duty belt I'd recommend putting your mags on your vest.
I think I'm going to go with the mayflower carrier though.

think it was first choice . there's a video of it somewhere on my channel.
Cool, thanks...will look for it.

Great video sir.
where did you purchase that peace keeper baton? Also awesome setup. Stay safe brother.
I would ditch the baton for oc spray and keep my back clear and also carry a tourniquet on my vest and a surefire flashlight.
Rob Pridemore okay well let's see your setup . I'll go ahead and subscribe and wait for the video. You can show everybody your setup. And then when everybody shoots off their criticisms .
nightprowler Haha somebody doesn't take constructive criticism very well. My video wouldn't help someone like you.
Rob Pridemore cool hurry up and get it done. I already subscribe so I can learn a thing or two from a pro.
Rob Pridemore I've noticed there's a lot of TH-cam know-it-alls. And when you say go ahead and show me what you're talking about never see the videos. nice setup video.. i do armed security myself...
yours is one of the better vids in terms of security edc.
where did u buy your sidewinder light been looking for one..
thanks stay safe
Can you make a video of your duty belt and what you wear now?
Honestly I'm not doing a lot of armed security right now
Cool Setup!
You still didn't answer the question what security company do you work for? I would be interested in applying
Great set up looking Sharp lol
Where did you get your light on the shoulder?
Nice edc looking awesome
what is your holster for your flashlight 2:35? or where can i buy it
I love this set-up I've watched this like 6 time, just amazed
@nightprowlerch19 Which city/county do you work in and what type of security is it? Your set up is freaking awesome!
What kind of baton is that??? I have been searching that kind of baton for awhile
what advice do you have for someone becoming armed for the first time.
What kind of under-belt were you rocking? In the market for a good belt, and possibly one that could support a duty belt should I ever get one.
Thanks
in the video I'm wearing a 511 operator belt. it's a thick heavy stiff belt you could use that built just for doing light duty stuff. if all you need to do is carry a gun in handcuffs it'll do that just fine. Hey about to get into security but unarmed now I'm done in Florida , maybe different laws but as unarmed meaning NO GUN ,but that means I can carry a Taser,OC SPRAY,AND BATONS right?
Usually unarmed means you're a paid witness and nothing else
Great video!
What brand/ type is your plate carrier
I would Check your state laws for videtapping/recording. Here in mass, video tapping a conversation violates a wiretapping law.
Where did you get the plate carrier/vest?
Cool set-up, cool toilet video!
which security company are you with? I'm in California as well looking to move to a new company
put your taser on your external vest. you'll have more space and less weight on your waist.
Nice video. I have a question. Don't you have a paper spray?
I usually do but I had finished it off a week or two earlier so I forgot to get some more so I just took the pouch off my belt
I had a qestion what would you recommend everything you would have on a duty belt on a vest or a duty belt and plate carrier just woundering because I am a Clovis PD explorer I really like your gear though good stuff
Michael Lopez I don't know because different departments will let you do different stuff. some departments won't even let you where A TAC vest. just wear whatever the other officers are carrying.
nightprowlerch19 oh ok I will just do that then thanks for the advice
nightprowlerch19 I had one more qestion when should is it justified to use a tazer or pepper spray just thought I would ask you because I am planing to do security after i finish my police program I appreciate you answering my qestionins
Security Information Center oh ok thanks for the advice I look more into the tazer part
what security company do you work for in California that is armed like that i live in California and i have never seen security with that many weapons so what security company do you work for ??
its not that many weapons it is pretty standard. gun baton taser and normally I'd would also be carrying pepper spray but I ran out. everybody freaks out just because they see the vest. but realistically there's no difference between this vest and a concealed vest except for this test is much more comfortable and it gives me extra pockets.
oh I also forgot a pocket knife
Nightprowler,be safe buddy. It's a cruel world out there.
be safe... very tactical. will save your life ans others.
What taser version do you have law enforcement or home defender?
i had a plate carrier with the plates in it but it was just to small for my chest i just use a regular vest now
AR500 plate carrier
I am probally way bigger then you I am 6 foot 7 280 pounds dude lol
Where did you get your vest?
I was thinking of becoming a Security guard. How would i go about getting a security guard job like yours? And what part of California do you work at?
to be absolutely truthful 90% of security sucks. and I wouldn't really recommend it. the hours suck the people suck the money sucks and you're buying all your own gear. it is not glamorous. and you really don't make a difference. so I advise you to do anything other than do security work.
Oh I was not thinking of a Career. I was thinking just because I need a job and security wok seemed up my alley.
weponcollector3 if you just need a job and you're only going to do it for a few years it'll be interesting just don't make a career out of it
Ok cool thank you. Also what sidearms are you aloud to carry?
A Glock 22 40 cal. But it seems like everybody I meet they always carry something different. I used to carry a 9-mm 92 Taurus . A Springfield Armory XD 45 and at one point a Springfield Armory 1911 45. It's a huge debate on which caliber to carry. Safe bet 9 mm or 40 and 45 you should be good. But you could also explore 38 Super 357 Sig 357 Magnum 10 mm but that's a little more on the Exotic side.
Does wearing the X2 feel uncomfortable where it's placed to bend over or doing driving patrols?
Yes it is uncomfortable it's kind of irritating definitely gotta find a better way to carry it
Hi sir, I have a question, what kind of belt you wearing?
If you don't mind me asking, where do you work at? I am armed and also looking for a great company were I can get my hands dirty.
company was called California housing Patrol. but honestly I'm a little older now and getting your hands dirty doesn't mean you get any more money. it just means you got a lot of people that don't like you. and you have a lot more headaches. just keep that in mind when you go and apply for a real proactive company
Might I recommend the X26 taser it's very good and my favourable taser also why don't you bring some of your equipment down to your thigh with thigh holsters! If you get the X26 taser they do many holsters even ones that fit on your chest!
I forgot I think you should get a go pro too because they're really durable and would probably be better in your line of work!
yeah a GoPro would be better but then everybody would know I'm recording them. to have the drop leg part for that Safariland Holster but I don't like wearing it anymore. the first thing that's annoying about the drop leg holster is if you drive a car with the center console you constantly hit your gun against that. the second thing about a drop leg holster add a lot of weight on your leg when you try to run. the third thing I don't like about a drop leg holster is it's constantly pulling your pants down. you can have like a bazillion keepers on and tighten your under belt really good but eventually that side will start falling down. I ran one for a couple years but it just got annoying. it looks tactical cool as hell. but its just not good for what I was doing lot of walking
+nightprowlerch19 Any chance of getting some advice from you?
This is a sweet EDC, what kind of belt is that?
If you're talking about the under belt it's a 511 operator belt
which plate carrier are you running? i like how its not too bulky, mine is ridiculous
I work casino security. All we wear is handcuffs and a kubotan.
I've worked a special event for Soboba casino and they didn't allow us to wear anything. because we were an outside company hired on to do special events. but the actual casino security carried everything but a gun. and it was the same situation with the tribal police in that area everything but a gun.
and the tribal police had tactical vest very similar to the one I was wearing in the video just with more s*** on it
I guess the point of the story is different casinos and different tribes have different rules about what they want people to wear. I forget what casino it is but it's over and Highland California they only hire people that have passed police academy and they outfit them with everything with the latest gear and weaponry
I LIKE YOUR EDC SETUP I HAVE A VIDEO ON MY EDC TOO LIKE THE SETUP
Good gear I'm a commissioned officer and I have similar gear
What under belt are you wearing?
What flashlight is in your vest?
TheJota07 it's a Streamlight Sidewinder
Just one thing I see wrong. Don't carry anything where your spine is. If you ever get slammed on your back that tool will hurt you bad. Trust me.
What security company you work for I am a certified 235 Securty guard in pa and looking for a better company I work for g4s right now
well organized, simple EDC system, NPC! stay safe, brother.
Nightprowlerch19+ where did you get the belt? Nice set up btw
Security at Boeing has all that. Most companies that work in the defemse industry has their own police force almost. He not secring the local mall.
