Great vlog Ali. I’m so glad I found you as I find you so relatable. I am also a retired primary teacher who lives alone with her wee dog after a very busy life as a working wife, mum and grandma. I am fortunate to have my family living nearby and now that my grandchildren are all at high school I have a lot more time to myself. I love cooking and exploring new recipes. In the summer I enjoy pottering about my garden. Look forward to your next instalment. Best wishes from a very stormy Sauchie. Lyndsey ❤
I made a super Victoria sandwich cake yesterday for my grandson’s birthday. It must have been really tasty, as all the family had a slice and there was none left by the end of their visit. That was satisfying!
Oh my gosh Ali, that cake looks amazing!!! I will be baking this later today, thank you for sharing such a delicious recipe! And stay safe, that sounds like a scary storm.
Your blondies looked very tasty ~ will have to try the recipe out. The storm was quite bad where I am in North Berwick and we had a tree blown down in the garden but no fortunately nobody was hurt and it missed our house!
The Blondies looked so easy (and delicious). I hadn't twigged about Jamie Oliver's current series, so that's something to explore! Keep safe both of you- and I hope Luna isn't too stir crazy while waiting for the storm to pass. Here in the English East Midlands it's 'a bit breezy' so I've corraled my bins in a sheltered corner, but it's nothing to write home about.
They look delicious. Wish I could join you and clean out the bowl (I know that is disgusting but i've reached the age when I don't feel I need to bother,) thanks again for sharing 🙂
The Blondies look delish!! Thanks for sharing - yet another recipe to try over the weekend! I don't have Blueberry jam, but I do have a jar of Apricot jam so I will give that a go instead. It's been very windy here in the South West, but not as severe as it is forecast to be in N Ireland and Scotland so stay safe both of you. My dog absolutely hates going to the toilet in the garden - she has to be really desperate before she'll give in, so hopefully Luna isn't as fussy as my little lady!! 🙄🤣
Hi Ali, just wanted to share a tip. If there are lingering smells, I light a scented candle and that seems to help a lot. Seems to me I’ve read somewhere that burning a sage leaf also works. Take care, and hugs for Luna.
Your cake looks awesome. I have started to use cream to make my yogurt as it makes the finished product so nice and thick. More like the Greek Yogurt I have purchased in the stores. You stay safe as well.
Morning Ali and lady Luna 😂🐶. The blondies look delicious I will try them and I’m def going to try making some butter. Thank you for the video. Awful weather stay safe and warm 😘🐶
Just a quick question, if the cream is going out of date how long does the butter last ,does it go sour like the cream would or does it last longer? Blondie recipe looks lovely but im on a diet so im sticking to the oat cakes and i don't use oil in them and they are a nice low calorie snack.
It's the buttermilk that spoils cream so by removing it the butter lasts longer. I usually freeze the butter after making it so I skip the rinsing in cold water bit. But if you rinse it then butter made from reduced cream should last at least a week or longer in the fridge. Hope that helps :-)
If you rinse the butter in cold water to get rid of all the buttermilk (that's what spoils the butter) then it should last a week (or longer) in the fridge. I skip that step as I freeze my butter straight away. It's easy to spot if your butter goes 'off' by smell/appearance etc. Hope that helps :-)
Yummy nice blondes Ali, thankyou. Hope you are ok t poo day and Luna is a good girl and understands why she can’t go for walkies. I live near London and it’s not too bad here, so far! Lots of love - I love your channel xx
looks nice but no peanut butter not liken nuts at all i found i had a mild allergic reaction to hazel nuts after i ate a chocolate hazelnut donut from Lidil it did not say it contained nuts very dangerous it was their loose fresh Donut’s😢
@@aliliveswellonless i am thank God but still not feeling to great it has affected my Taste still i get a lot of problems any way with out that due to acid Reflux 🌺💞🤍
Hope the storm peters out quick. Have a good weekend Ali. BTW, I love hearing Luna, she is like a toddler, wants your attention when you are busy.
“And of course I had to test it.”
🥰 A girl after my own heart!!!

Nice to have you here! You're just a few miles along the road from me. Hope you're safe and warm! :-)
Thankfully all is well here now, Ali. Wee Teddy hates the wind and rain so spent the day barking at it to go away! 😂😂😂

You could call it product testing. I always clean the bowl and beater. 😅

How long will the butter keep for if it's made from reduced price/short date cream?
