Yeah! BIGBANG are called The Kings of Kpop, they did a comeback in April with Still Life after 5 long years 🥲 it is a very emotional song, so beautiful, and now their song is the most listened song in Korea, without promotions. They just made that song for their fans.

Teen Top's No More Perfume is one of the most despicable songs of kpop but it's sooooo camp and I adore it still all these years later. I also love their unique choreo and vocals, and of course CHUNJI'S GUILTY SMILE. (it makes more sense if you read the lyrics)
I am SOOOOO thankful you reacted to the song, though. Almost nobody at all reacts to Teen Top and even then they always skip this song even though it was probably their first big splash in the international kpop fandom for it's trashy-ass lyrics but addicting sound. Such a guilty pleasure.
And last thing I wanna say: Austin the wave you've got goin' in your hair is gorgeous and really suits you.

Bigbang- Taeyang is the one whose voice you liked. He has a prolific solo career too, very R&B style. Eyes, Nose, Lips is just beautiful.

Teen Top was the first successful group under TOP Media which was founded by Shinhwa's Andy (Shinhwa being a legendary 1st-gen group!) and the agency's other groups include 100%, UP10TION, and MCND. Teen Top was unique since at debut, all members were still teenagers, hence their name!
Niel is the main vocalist and BOY can he sing live even though he sings like 80% of any given song! Chunji is the other main vocalist who can hit those high notes. The maknae is Changjo who has the deeper singing voice and there's also Ricky, a former child actor. The rappers are C.A.P. (leader) and L.Joe (who has since left the group).
"No More Perfume On You" was actually written by Bang Si-Hyuk ("Hitman Bang", a.k.a. Big Hit's founder) and for the lyrics, they went with a more "endearing" approach toward older female listeners in particular, so the lyrics are kind of from your younger lover who's telling you "not to wear perfume" so that he doesn't get found out for his affair...LOL!! And it's funnier because the members were so young at the time they didn't fully understand the lyrics themselves XD

Wonder girls were iconic they were considered rivals of Girls Generation in the early days and they exploded further with the song Nobody … I also suggest listening to another iconic song Mister by Kara

They were bigger till 2009.
But after they were sended to promote in US (earlier than Pst) lose a lot of their korean fanbase.

2nd gen girl groups just hit different. they’ll always be in my heart.
EXID was my first KPOP girl group I found after Blackpink. They have SO many great songs, Up & Down was the song that made them huge after Hani’s fancam. Hani will always hold a special place in my heart. Ah Yeah (you reacted to that), L.I.E., DDD, Night Rather Than Day, the underrated Every Night…I could go on and on. Solji is a top tier main vocalist and was the first winner of Masked Singer. LE, the rapper, was an underground rapper and co-produced all their songs. Hani is an insanely known personality known from Variety Shows and programs, and one some Bsides you get to hear her natural singing voice which is deeper and bluesy, she sings higher to match the other girls. Again, I could go on and on.
BIGBANG is very iconic. Lies is the song thay really put them in the top, you really should check that out.
ALSO, the guy you like from BIGBANG is called Taeyang and he has GREAT solos, you should give it a try!
BIGBANG is such a great group. Even though their hip-hop music is the one hat it's the best known, personally my favourite is their mellow, kinda sad songs. If you like upbeat beats with sad melodies you might like Monster, Haru Haru, Love Song or Loser. Loser and Haru Haru are some of my personal favourites! I would also love you to react to their latest song, Still Life. It's their first song after Seungri's departure and they swipe up every chart in Korea when people thought that it was over for them. You will notice Taeyang and Daesungs voices, which are great btw. I would also like to suggest you Taeyang solo Eyes, Nose, Lips. Such a good song!
Also, I feel like Teen Top has waaaay more iconic song, I would suggest you Miss Right, Rocking or Supa Luv.

Wonder Girls were my very, VERY FIRST introduction into kpop when I was in the 5th grade with their song Nobody. Tell Me is that bitch!! I know every single dance Wonder Girls ever did. Truly iconic.
Kara is one of my fave 2nd gen groups also the first girl group I knew, they’re sooo goood🤯 each one of them is so charismatic and talented. their stage presences, live vocals are insane and even their powerful choreos❤️🔥 my fave songs by them are damaged lady (literal korean title: not a lady or i can’t be a lady), lupin, pandora.
Also they’re five members originally but after two members left the group they added a member and released i think two songs as four. and sadly they lost a member, Rest in peace Go Hara❤️
Well, 5 members for the majority of their time. They did originally debut as 4, main vocal left and then Jiyoung and Hara joined.

The one you said was your bias in Wonder Girls name is Yubin, she replaced Hyuna when she left the group. Yubin has some good solo stuff that you’d probably enjoy. Check out her song “Lady” you’ll love it!

Hype songs with sad lyrics is pretty much BIGBANG’s specialty. 😂 Sober is another great example of that. And I def agree with you about Bang Bang Bang and Fantastic Baby, those are probs my least favorite songs of theirs lol. BIGBANG is what got me into kpop tho and I LOVE Fxxk It, Bad Boy, Last Dance, and Let’s Not Fall In Love!

Tell Me was iconic there were so many dance covers from all walks of the general public. Wonder Girls really laying the groundwork for JYP Entertainment’s success. for 4Minute they were Cube’s first girl group so their older brother group Beast (later left the label are are now Highlight) were introducing them. funny to react to them after Wonder Girls because Hyuna debuted in Wonder Girls but quickly left as she was just too young and then later debuted again with 4Minute. Taeyang (BigBang) has a killer R&B voice. I think you would also really like his solo work he has a lot of music since they started releasing solo songs for him early on. And yes BigBang are the Kings if Kpop, while being a hiphop group they do have a varied discography, ballads, rock-ish, indie, you name it. Also probably live performance reactions you would like, killer vocals, rap and dripping in stage presence. Its a shame that there isnt as big of a western appreciation for Teen Top just not as many new kpop fans who find older groups finding them. While they werent one of my faves they were a great addition to kpop and much respect to them. Kara are queens. Mamma Mia was a later release for them after some members left when contract expired they added 1 new member before this comeback. I cannot wait for their reunion comeback that they have been recording so you will get to see new music from them! I definitely think they would be a group that you would like a lot of their songs. EXID were such a fun group. Famously known for the power of fancams. They were a group struggling to capture space in the industry until a fancam of Hani went super viral and changed the game for them. They are the only Gen3 group in this video so they will be reuniting for a 10th anniversary special broadcast.
Bigbang has songs from every genre and yes, they are the Kings of Kpop. You should also check out Boyfriend. Songs like Bounce, Witch, Iyah, Janus, Obsession and Boyfriend. Also B1A4's song Beautiful Target. And if you do Teentop again, you have to do Rocking. It's truly iconic.

They were real popular around 2012 / 2013, but I don’t know why, one day, everybody stopped talking about them. Maybe because one of the rappers left, but the group was still together …

2nd gen groups have more of a mature feeling over all compared to the newer gens
One group people seem to forget is B1A4 (their name represents their blood type; one member type b, four type a). They were more in the cute/quirky/silly side of K-pop at the time with great vocals.
If you check them out, I'd recommend "O.K", "Beautiful Target", "What's Happening", "Baby Good Night", "Solo Day", and for some of their ballads, "Lonely", and "Tried to Walk"
Plus the awesome part is that some of the members are still making music. Really hope you're able to check these boys soon!!
HyunA was also in Wonder Girls at one point. EXID's Jeonghwa was also in the Wonder Girls Tell Me music video.

YES!! Bigbang! I'm happy you're doing more from them. Here is an extensively long introduction and brief history of Bigbang:
They debuted in 2006 from YG. They were not super successfull right from the start but with Lies in 2007 and Haru Haru in 2008 they catapulted to superstardom in South Korea. And they just grew bigger with each comeback and started to get international fame too. And this was before TH-cam and social media were huge like they are now. They really like to experiment with their music, you'll never know what to expect from them.... pop-rock to EDM to old school rap and everything in between. I think that is one of the biggest reasons why they are so loved by both kpop fans and the general public. Never trust a kpop fan who doesn't know Bigbang (or the other 2nd gen legends). They have a hand in everything regarding their music, writing and producing (GD is the one who started the whole idols doing their own music thing), they fund their consert tours 100% themselves, they design the lighting, stages, setlists, arrangements etc for conserts. They are the blueprint that other companies use to form their new groups.
The members are
GD (G-Dragon): Leader, Lead rapper, Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, born 1988 (high tone, very distinct voice)
TOP: Main rapper, minimal vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Art collector, born 1987 (deep and low voice)
Taeyang: Main vocal, Producer, Songwriter, born 1988 (the smooth R&B voice)
Daesung: Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Drummer, born 1989 (most of his solo stuff is under the name D-Lite in Japan) (Powerful, a bit raspy voice, very easy to regocnise also) (Check D'splay here on TH-cam, he is totally not Daesung *wink* making drum covers)
ex-member Seungri: Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, born 1990 (light pretty voice) (Left BB in 2019 due to a scandal (he was our maknae for 13 years so I'm including him here and he's in all of BB's MVs except Still Life). If you want to know more I can write a new comment on that, but all in all it was a super messy, public and complicated thing that was big part a witch hunt, part covering bigger issues and there was some small part that was also the truth. There is A LOT of wrong info going around on this scandal and about him.)
They don't really dance during their MVs and lives (like pretty much all other groups do) but they are talented dancers, especially Taeyang, GD and Seungri. When you get to know them more you will see that TOP is the greatest dancer of all!! LOL. Seungri even had a dance academy and many idols trained there, like J-Hope (BTS) and Minzy (2NE1).
BB are the kings of live performances!! They like to arrange their songs differently for pretty much every consert and live show. They have had the same live band with them since 2012. The band six toured with BB for years until they went to hiatus for military and the band has since toured with other YG groups, mainly Blackpink. My personal favorites live are Café, Haru Haru (acoustic version), Tell Me Goodbye (in Japan Dome Tour X 2014/2015) and Sober (in MADE tour with Daesung on the drums). I highly recommend watching a consert, the Japan dome tour X 2014-2015 is one of the best ones and the MADE or 0to10 tours are also great ones.
But to fully grasp the impact they have had, here is a list of some things that are very normal now but what Bigbang started and changed:
- Lightsticks (GD invented the concept and designed BB's yellow crown lightstick, the bang bong)
- TOP was the first underground rapper (he went by the name Tempo) turned idol (turned into a successfull actor)
- Writing their own songs and producing their own music (GD, the musical genius, but all of them write and produce). So now younger idols have the chance to make their own music thanks to GD and BB breaking the stereotype of idols.
- Different genres of music started to be more common in Kpop thanks to them (Hip Hop, EDM...) as they were exploring different genres and making variety of differend genre music.
- Combining different genres in one song. Like Bang bang bang.
- Fantastic Baby started the EDM era in Kpop.
- To have actual rappers in a group and not a group member who can't sing well enough and was trained to rap here and there. The first real rapline GD&TOP (and they actually have an album together).
- Rapper combo with higher voice and a deeper voice and at least one deep voiced rapper in a group.
- Solo carees, back in the day idols started their solo careers only after disbanding, but BB members wanted to go solo and stay in BB. And they have done it super well.. All of them have a very successful solo career.
- International success before social media and streaming were a thing.
- They were the first ones to have a real world tour, first international awards, etc.
- YG made BIGBANG but BIGBANG made YG. YG ent is one of the "BIG 3" (or the big 4...with Hybe) all thanks to BB. Many kpop fans doesn't seem to know this but YGE was extremely poor (like going bankrupt level) and a small company when BB were trainees and debuted and thanks to their success they are now one of the biggest companies out there. BB was responsible for over 60% of YGEs income at one point and for some time too.
- First mini albums.
- They were always themselves, goofy, weird and funny. So group members now can also be more free to who they are. - High fashion in kpop (mainly GD.. and TOP)
- Crazy hair colors (mainly GD again)
- The list goes on..
They've had some scandals over the years (some real and some not) but in my opinion most of it is just South Korean media (and knets) hating on them (they always have) and them being grown up men just living their life in a super conservative world of kpop idols.
What I personally like the most about them is that they really don't give a f**k about anything anymore, they just do what they like the most and that is excellent music. With this modern era of kpop with the super conservative rules it'll be fun to see BB shake things up when they finally appear in the public again with BB or solo promotions!! (The world of kpop was very different when I started my kpop journey in 2010... groups were collaborating, male and female idols were collaborating and were friends in public, no useless scandals over every little thing and the fandoms weren't nearly as toxic as they are now, ah the golden era of kpop. I miss those days. Newer fans have no idea what they have missed out on.)
I would recommend to start either from the start or go with the most recent MADE album. All songs from that album (except If You, see the tour report for this one) has an MV. Also they all have excellent solo music with their own flare. Please check out Daesung (D-Lite) - Anymore (live Japan dome tour 2017) and TOP - Doom Dada (MV) for starters.
They are hilarious people so variety shows are a must: Happy together, Weekly Idol, Radio Star, all the Running Man episodes with BB are golden, Run Bigbang scout and the MADE movie.
All of the things said here are on point. If I may add, Bigbang members may have strong aura on stage and some may have negative first impressions on them but they are actually one of the most sincere, most genuine and humblest in kpop if one dives into them deeply

Tonight by BIGBANG is such an iconic, where they became the *first k-pop group* to won at western award; two awards at *2011 MTV EMA* beating Britney Spears and other artists. This song saved them from disbanding during that time.
Wonder girls is an amazing group! I love all their song and their band album is one of my favorites in kpop. From their old songs, "So hot" is THE ONE for me.
As for KARA, "Lupin", "Damaged Lady" and "Step" are really good songs.
Every group here is iconic as someone who grow up with 2nd gen kpop song, I pick that over any new group today, period.
KARA debuted the same year as SNSD. Their songs are so good.

Nice to see you revisting EXID. When I first reied Kpop, I just picked random songs. EXID was the first group I stuck with and spread my Kpop experience from there. Little did I know Solji would become my favourite singer (among a few others now). LE with rapping flowed with the song rather than break the pace. But yes, the videos can be an acquired taste! Thanks for the surprising re-reaction. Many of the songs I first tried, I go back to as grown on me now.

No More Perfume on You is iconic b/c Teen Top reeeeaaaally blew up when it came out. I remember it was my favorite of theirs at the time even though it was a trashy song lol. Chunji (the one where you mentioned you liked his smile) is my bias! I think Rocking is about the same level of iconic for different reasons so you should check that out if you have time!
Shinee was the youngest debuted group untill TeenTop came to the scene in 2010. Their average age was 15 internationally and Ricky and Changjo were 13 at debut.
Teen Top = Shinee= Infinite were in equal pars for their dance and live vocal strength. Unfortunately people stopped caring about them. But their 10th year anniversary stage in 2020 blew in Korea thanks to their outstanding live dance and vocal performance and they were invited to perform in so many shows. Members have enlisted so we need to wait for a comeback.
The one you called center Niel-the main vocalist- had to sing most parts of the songs in early albums as the members voice change due to puberty. His solos are amazing. esp. ''Love affair''

really happy to see KARA here, the song Mamma Mia was actually the debut song for Youngji, since she was added to the group later.

the members were pretty young at the time, the youngest member was 16 and the oldest was 19. the member you asked if they were the center is niel (third oldest, '94), he's the face of the group but they have no center position. the member that you said you liked is chunji (second oldest, '93) and the rapper with the deep voice you commented on is c.a.p (the oldest, '91).
the members are slowly making their way through their enlistments. chunji was discharged earlier this year, ricky (fourth oldest, '95) was just discharged a few days ago, and c.a.p enlisted in may of last year. so niel and the youngest member, changjo (also '95), are the last ones that need to enlist.
the other rapper of the group, l.joe, left the group in 2017
You really should do another video for each of the groups here. i don't think EXID's videos are that weird. The theme tends to be men treating women badly, and women being empowered to change their situation.
Wonder Girls and SNSD were who got me into Kpop back in the late late 2000s. To this day Sunmi is still my favorite idol of all time
Wonder Girls and SNSD were/are my ult groups! If anything I highly recommend their Wonder World album. That is one of my favorite Kpop albums to date.

BIGBANG are the kings of KPOP. They are the only LEGENDS of SK. I'm surprised you still haven't reacted to them more. They debuted in 2006, made YG big as it is now, we wouldn't know about groups like BLACKPINK, PSY or any other YG groups if it wasn't cuz of BIGBANG and the $ their enormous success brought worldwide, it made YG one of the BIG 3 companies in SK. They had a WORLD TOUR in 2012 and in 2011 won an EMA against Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and some others. First kpop group to be nominated and win this, also first kpop group to ever write and compose their own songs, also to invent their own lightstick. They are the first in so many things, that's why many idols nowadays have them as their inspiration. They went to the military these last 6 years and this year they slayed the charts of Korea (after 5 years of hiatus) with an unpromoted single with no music show appearances. That should tell you sth.
