- Hey everyone! We are at the Habitat ReStore in Morganton, NC. Yes!!! They have a car up for bid in their silent auction. It was only $600.00 the day I went! Unbelievable!! 😁 Enjoy!! 😘

So this is what so sad people, don't want their parents or grandparents, stuff and you find it for just a few dollars for quality thing's, I have my husbands grandmother and mothers dishes, I don't need them or want them so they sit, untouched, for years, until the next generation, has to figure out what to do with it, I'm unloading it because my kids don't want vintage dishes, or linens,. and yes I asked almost begged but I don't because it's not their style. ❤
That's so funny. I love old stuff. I always have. I'm older now or I would ask about them. My own children wouldn't take them either. I really loved my mother-in-law's old stuff but I don't have any as her kids did not want anything, just burned it all.
To me family is more important and valuable than any antique thing they could possibly possess but taste or no taste it is the sentimental value aspect to which is why you keep it it is a family heirloom and that is what makes it matter to keep it in the family also people have a long line of family sometimes you find one relative who treasure in their heart that loved one and will keep it taste or no taste because they want to keep a heirloom that belongs to a loved one who they treasure and want to have something of them that remind them of that special loved one and that is more valuable than the price of the items even if they are vintage or antique items 😊😊😊
Loved a couple of the pottery pitchers, especially the big one for $12. Can't believe someone donated a clean car. I'd definitely need to get it for all my Restore hauls. Who am I kidding? I would need a Penske truck for my shopping there. If you decide to bid on it, I hope you get it. Thanks for taking us along.

I remember Dones pills, my grandfather had them, and my mom had the same pattern shifter, my sister inherited from my mom.
I definitely remember the pay phones, especially at the shopping centres, or the malls! I remember paying a dime, then it went up to a quarter!
I wholeheartedly agree with you about the Taste of Home magazines having great recipes, have them in England, got the best apple crumb cake recipe! My family love it. Will definitely have to try a shrimp burger!

Love that hand crocheted throw, the colors are beautiful! I love the silent auctions (especially the Kia) but I’d settle for those old toiletries 😂 and the gumball machine and phone. Love the blue dishes and pottery💙💙. So many unique items and great prices!
