He liked it so much he sent her a Roxy Pink guitar, a PRS Silver Sky - a collaboration between John and high end guitar maker Paul Reed Smith. With a note from John included with the guitar read: "Rosé, I should be thanking you. (So Thank You). - John."

This is Rosé's 1st song in a collection of magical cover gems she did when she participated in a South Korean reality show program which aired on JTBC TV channel from June 29 to September 14, 2021. The cast members, 3 famous actors/actresses and 5 musicians, opened a bar on the sea side and offered to the customers various food, drinks and musical acts so they could escape their daily lives for a moment. They would have guest singers, each for a few weeks at a time for the musical acts. Rosé was their very first guest singer. In addition to “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room”, there are videos of her singing solo cover songs (1) 'The only exception' (by 'Paramore') (1 video of rehearsal and 1 of public performance), (2) 'Because I love you' (a classic S. Korean pop song) (rehearsal and public performance videos), (3) 'Read my mind' ('The Killers'), (4) 'Gone' (Teddy Park & Rosé), singing in DUET with a MALE singer in (5) 'Lucky' (Jason Mraz), and in a trio in (6) “If I Ain’t Got You” (Alicia Keys). All videos, rehearsal and public performance, are good to magical. The Korean song “Because I love you”, sung in Korean, is really good. In the public performance, Rosé cried at the end of the song. Her explanation opens a window into her mind when she sings a song. Enjoy.

Sea of Hope was a TV show Rose' appeared on and performed several songs both alone and with other singers. Every time Rose' opens her mouth to sing on this show, it instantly becomes something much much more than what the show was supposed to be about. There are few voices that reach deep into your soul and grab your heart. She has it. Performances like this are what she dreamed of doing. She is clearly a superstar singer here. A NAME PERFORMER. BTW John Mayer saw this and sent her a guitar with his congrats.
