    Yo Michael, That may be the best U. Heep album. Just scored a German 1st press with the German only poster. Good looking Kinks LP, you said it..."a really good album". Dude is flippin' the bird 🖕on that Jelly Beans Bandit LP. Also, those bullet bandolier's are Mattel. Don't have Fairfield Parlour. I need to give it a listen, that one slipped by me. Thanks for the weekly video drop. Have a nice holiday weekend!

      Hi Ron, I'm not a huge fan of the Heep, but I do like their earlier hard rock sound on the first 3 albums. Cool score on the German press. I found the Kinks album used like 40 some years ago, lucked out on that one. Never noticed the guy flipping the finger until you mentioned it! Definitely check out Fairfield Parlour, if you like Kaleidoscope, you might like that one too. Thanks for the comments always nice to hear from you, Hope you have a great holiday too!

    "Roger the Engineer" is so contemporary it sounds like it was recorded in the future.
    RIP Jeff Beck.

      Yes, the Yardbirds were way ahead of the times on that one! Thanks for tuning in.

    I’ve seen someone show that Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. It sounds like it would be good. I want to get that John Mayall but it is always too expensive every time I see it. I Ain’t Superstitious is different than the Stevie Wonder song.

    • @nearwildheaven4840
      @nearwildheaven4840  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Uncle Acid is good stoner rock with a Black Sabbath influence. Found the Mayall at Half Price Books for $25 a couple of years ago. I should've checked the writing credit on that Jeff Beck song, it's credited to Dixon, Willie maybe. But didn't Beck do a version of Stevie Wonder's Superstition like in the 70s?

    Hey Michael!
    Great stack of records all killer! I just picked up my 1st Uncle Acid-Mind Control pretty cool
    Love the Super Natural song from the Hard Road album 🔥Awesome Meat Puppets album! I got into them after seeing them perform in a basement of a record store back in the 80s
    I still need that Soft Boys record ! Love Robyn Hitchcock!
    Take care Brian ☮️

      I haven't heard Mind Control, I''ll have to check it out. Cool you saw the Meat Puppets, I wanted to get their live album from this past RSD, but it was sold out. Don't know which I like better, Robyn Hitchcock solo or the Soft Boys, either way, it's all great music! Thanks for tuning in Brian, and take care.

    Hi Michael, I need to check out that David Bowie album (why I never have???) and the Uncle Acid band. I bought Slash's new record last week and have been playing it alot. Take care, thanks, and have a good Memorial Day weekend.

    • @nearwildheaven4840

      Hi Ralph, That Bowie album is great, a more heavier sound than on some of his earlier albums. If you like stoner rock, Uncle Acid fits the bill nicely. Cool you got Slash's new one, I got check it out. Thanks for your comment, it's always appreciated and hope you have a great Memorial Day too!

    Hey Michael I first heard of uncle acid from my younger brother and I was surprised to learn that they are British, I thought they had a very American sound, at least from what I heard, my best pick ups this week was a Canadian psych grail The Collectors first album and Slades first album, excellent stuff, from your wall I have two matches: Hunky Dory and Blue Cheer
    🎉

      That Uncle Acid is the only one I have by them, I need to pick up some of their other albums. I've heard of the Collectors, I'll be checking that one out. I believe the Collectors became the band Chilliwack. Slade Rocks! Thanks for tuning in Dean.

    😢Michael the cool thing about the Troggs album,on my copy it states the front cover was taken in a cave , the song hi hi hazel, that's the song Gary and the Hornets covered. Oh yes this video was great thank you

      Didn't know about Gary and the Hornets covering the Troggs song, cool trivia! They were pretty young if I remember right, so cool they were hip to the Troggs at such a young age. Thanks for tuning in and for your comments.

    That Meat Puppets is fantastic. I picked it up in the early 90s on cassette but now have the cd and the record. I think thats my favorite by them. Its either that or Meat Puppets II. Great stuff.

      Hi, Sorry for replying to this late, but yeah, Meat Puppets are a great band, I saw them when they opened for Nirvana in 1993, and it was a great show. Their early records are so good. Thanks for commenting, and take care.

    Hey Michael, I found a copy of that Nuggets album in the antique store recently, didn’t know about that Yardbirds reissue. Uncle Acid is also cool. My copy of Look At Yourself is shot, Ansley Dunbar was on a lot of great albums. That looks like an original Them Again? I’m only familiar with that Electric Flag and the Trip soundtrack didn’t know there were others. I need that Animals album. Don’t eat too many Jelly Beans

    • @nearwildheaven4840
      @nearwildheaven4840  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Dave, Cool you found the Nuggets LP, that album was my introduction to the 13th Floor Elevators, among others. The Yardbirds LP is on Edsel, and supposedly, is the best sounding pressing of that record, but it came out in '83, so I'm sure there's a later pressing that sounds even better. Yes, the Them album is an original mono press I picked up a few years ago for $15. There's at least 2 other Electric Flag LPs. The Animals LP has A Girl Named Sandoz on it, a song I heard you mention in your last video. Too late on the jelly beans, I ate the whole bag!

    I'd like to hear that David Bowie record. Something Else - one of my favorite Kinks albums. Did you say the Trigs had a song called Jingle Jangle? Is that a cover of the Archies song? I have that Up On the Sun record. Would like to hear that Fairfield Parlour album for sure. Thanks for showing the records!

    • @nearwildheaven4840
      @nearwildheaven4840  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Randy, the Bowie LP is a different mix of The Man Who Sold the World album. The Troggs song is not the same one by the Archies, it's an original by Reg Presley, Trogg's lead singer. Up on the Sun is great, like all the Meat Puppets' LPs. Definitely check out Fairfield Parlour, if you liked that Kaleidoscope album, you'll probably like that one too. Thanks for tuning in Randy, hope you have a nice Memorial Day.

    Great selection again Michael! That's the Nuggets I have! Four albums I dont have I think you might guess which four! Uriah heep a band that has up and downs but many underated albums! Yardbirds yep I have three versions of Roger the Engineer but not that one! Bowie yep issued in 1970 as The man who sold the world! Yes I agree his heavy rock album! Great stuff as always! Eric Burden still an angry old man 👍

    • @nearwildheaven4840

      Hi Ian, I would guess that Jelly Bean Bandits, Uncle Acid, Fairfield Parlour, and Electric Flag are the ones you don't have. Not a big Heep fan, but I do like their early stuff. Best version of Roger the Engineer I have is actually not the one I showed, but the U.S. mono version released with the title Over Under Sideways Down. Bowie's Metrobolist is fantastic, first to feature Mick Ronson, who Bowie referred to as "My Jeff Beck". Thanks for tuning in Ian, and have a great week.
