Garry Harrison's old time tune performed by: Mike Witcher - Dobro Grant Gordy - Guitar Miranda Sykes - Bass Rex Preston - Mandolin Laura Carrivick - Fiddle Filmed by John Breese
Great . I usually dont find anything too bad or good about bass players but her playing was excellent.Good resonation and major contribution to the sound of the group.
I think maybe Gabe Witcher who plays the fiddle in the Punch Brothers with Chris is brothers with Mike Witcher who plays the Dobro in this band. Perhaps the reason for the Chris Thile thing with the mando player. The 7 steps to Chris Thile..
Fantastic to see this on You tube - loved watching the guys and girls playing this at Sore Fingers Summer School - a real treat that you made this video :)
..due to this video, I disassembled my warped violin this spring hide-glued it back together, and started playing again after 15 yrs.
Very smooth. I love it.

Thought he was CT at first glance.
My thoughts exactly
That fiddle player is playing with my heart strings...
It's very similar to the Gaelic tune "The Eagle's Whistle" or "Fead an Iolair". It shows the strong musical bond between this country and the Isles.
John Hartford would have called Laura's fiddle draggy! love it.
I really need more music like this in my life !!!! Can anyone recommend something similar? I know it’s difficult as this piece is just magic !!
Wonder why these versions have more views than Gary & the Mule Team[
