- Another car from the barn find section of MCACN 2023 show and this one is a 1970 Plymouth Superbird from Mopars5150. Not too many wing cars out there that have not been restored yet. Mopars5150 is famous for finding rare and valuable Mopars and they have a good one here. The barn find section of MCACN shows the best and rarest cars that have been found or rediscovered over the last year. Great cars are everywhere at MCACN but something about the barn find section is really appealing.
If you haven't made MCACN before make sure you make plans to go next year!

I just gotta say, I sure love the Superbird cars...
I can still remember the first time i seen one 45 years ago when i was a young kid, I was like, wa wa, what, what was that????? And my dad proceded to give me the low down on them and how they came about / came to be. Great appreceation for them every since.
How does the posi track work in the rear end of a Plymouth? No one knowes, it just does! Right? One of my favorite movies.
Never owned one, came really close this summer but couldn’t quite close the deal on it. Sadly maybe out of my price range now.
So cool! Thank you for sharing this.
Vary cool to see one in that condition
I'd drive it looking like that
Totally
The fender cover was for tire clearance
Well, thanks, quick overview… Interestingly, I seen SUPERBIRD parked downtown , Spring 1970, Lafayette Indiana: to long, Garish,etc..: We bought our first new Car , a 1970 **CORONET 500/383 TURQUIOSE/ loaded in fall 1970… ( Mar 70 Production) many good years until 1986 approx (?) , WARSAW Indiana , lots of miles & INDIANA road Salts destroyed …..GROSSLY…AnywaYs, passed on buyin* a 70 Challenger RT/ SE/4 speed/ magnum/every Option in triple Geeen (* hindsight, Challenger probably $$ rare)………
Gonna take two hundred thousand to redo this thing
Were the wings on the Daytona and Superbirds mad of that cast pot metal crud?
Made lol, Chrysler rust and cast pot metal, I know all all makers had there rust problems but Chrysler seems king of rust buckets, still love them though
They were aluminum and very strong.
Magic question? What is a car like that Superbird worth?
price that the last bidder will pay ...me id buy one that is drivble
A LOT
Did you say it’s from Clemson SC? I live in Clemson.
Pretty sure it was found with a 68 Shelby GT500 as well!
Amazing. When was it “found”?
Think it was pretty recently, if you check out @mopars5150 on instagram that should have a post about it.
